Another Day, Another Lie (or Five)The latest indictment against the Outfoxed gals specifies five counts of
false testimony. With J$P Video!
One day after the indictments, and you'd think the Fox haters would
learn from the case of Scooter Libby. It's not wise to lie, even if you are just
a desperate housewife writing on a smear blog. But nobody ever attributed
intelligence to the newshounds (another fine product from the Outfoxed
syndicate).
We find deborah growling about--what else?--Fox News and the never-ending secret conspiracy, masterminded by Karl Rove: Fox began a well orchestrated damage control strategy today on the day after indictments were handed up in the CIA Leak Investigation.... David Corn and Michael Barone debated and Barone said that it was unlikely that Rove would be indicted and this was not a major negative for the President especially when the Iraqi Constition [sic] takes hold. His attitude was casual and dismissive which seemed to be the order of the day. We're not exactly following this. Wasn't this a debate with David Corn? How exactly does a two-sided discussion establish some sort of "damage control strategy"? Is David Corn part of the conspiracy? Why couldn't one say his attitude was the "order of the day"--that is if debbie had bothered to mention any part of what he said? We checked through several hours of FNC coverage of the Leak case today, and here are just a few of the people Fox had on as part of the "well orchestrated damage control strategy":
OK, how many of these people were quoted in deborah's smear piece? Zero. How many, other than David Corn, were even mentioned? Same answer: zero. So the "damage control strategy" is deb's first lie. But there's more to come: Attention was diverted throughout the afternoon with constant Fox News Alerts about the bombings in India which were blamed on terrorists. However, the terrorists suspected by India were motivated by the talks scheduled between India and Pakistan. The notion that covering a terrorist attack that kills scores of people is wrong if it diverts attention from Scooter Libby is moonbat loony. But on top of that, we have deborah insisting that India suspects terrorists who are trying to derail the increased ties between India and Pakistan. It will surprise no one that when one clicks on the link debbie provides, up comes an article that says nothing whatsoever about the rapprochement between India and Pakistan or whom India suspects. Surprise! Deb just made that up. But she's on a roll: Fox did not mention the talks between India and Pakistan motivating the attacks. Drumroll please, this is our lie of the day [QuickTime video clip]: Please sir, may I have another? [QuickTime video clip]: It's time to prepare the indictment. One count of lying for the "damage control strategy". One count for inventing a theory of culpability where nobody has claimed responsibility. One count for a phony link that doesn't support the theory. And two counts for lying that Fox didn't mention something when they did (one count for each video clip). Congratulations, debbie. In just one day you've accomplished what it took Scooter Libby two years to achieve: five counts of lying. And thanks to the miracle of Tivo, you have been proven guilty as charged. posted: Sat - October 29, 2005 at 11:35 PM j$p  send Kristina Hi. I like your blog but I would really like to see some actual facts. Nothing against you, I just think your arguments aren't that convincing when you have no facts to back them up.
