You know Tom, you continue to repeat the lie that Gibson said white people should make more babies. Even after we put up the exact transcript of what he said. Sometimes it looks like your only occupation is to go around smearing Fox News people, but you won't get away with it here.
 
Same goes for the smear that Gibson called the Iraqi people savages. Here's a suggestion, offered because we're looking out for you, Tom. If you don't want to make a fool out of yourself next time, listen to a clip before commenting on it. Just a friendly suggestion.

Some people only get their news second hand from sites that choose what parts you should hear. They "watch Fox News so you don't have to". Try getting it from the source instead of from proven liars and comment then, Tom.

Now, I can understand that partisan shills who have to fill a lot of blank air time with their blather say sloppy, stupid things they don't mean. But Gibby is a particular nitwit who makes things worse the more he chatters to explain what he meant.
 
First of all, his original transcript does read like he's broadly sliming Iraqis, not just the terrorists and death squads. But, in the context, you can parse the words to mean otherwise.
 
However, my second point is his sprawling defense ends up following the same track. While he voices what he claims to really have meant, he starts painting with a wider brush sliming Muslims widely in other centuries.
 
Not to mention, if you see MediaMatter's "rant" there's no editorializing I can see and I don't see where they are calling for Gibby's resignation. But then his stream of conscious response appears to be randomly addressing MediaMatters and then liberals in general so it's tough sort the entire mess out.
 
J$, if I were a devoted Fox Fan like you, I would've just ignored all of this and hoped it went away.

Yes I know that's what you would do. You defended the newshounds deleting my comments because you claimed I was posting "foaming conservative" comments. When I asked you to cite one example to back up your claim, you just ignored the question and hoped it went away.
 
More recently, you used your psychic powers to state that I agreed with the conclusion of an article. When I asked you to cite any quote from me to back up your claim, again you ignored the question and hoped it would go away.
 
Look, sknabt, I don't want to be confrontational. I like the back and forth with you, at least up to the point where you are challenged and then disappear. Your comments above on Gibson are quite fair; even if I don't agree, you aren't spewing hate and calling names like some people we know. So I'm happy to have you post here and take part in the dialogue. My concern is that on two occasions you made statements about ME, and when asked to back them up you didn't. That's not a good way to engender respect for your arguments.

I ***HATE*** debating in comments. I've said this in the past. Put up forums and I'll hang around longer. Here's another example of why they ***SUCK***.
 
You claim I'm defending News Hounds censoring your posts and you even appear to quote me. Now, as webmaster, you hold a tremendous advantage here because you, as administrator, likely have the capability to search or otherwise easily navigate comments.
 
On the other hand, I'd have to spend the rest of my Saturday slogging my way around your site trying to figure out what the heck you're talking about.
 
You'd have a harder time getting away with this baloney in forum threads.
 
I pride myself on being tolerant of free speech. In fact, for example, SoD and I have had some heated discussions on moderating forums because I tend to believe anything short of pure spam, extreme trollish behavior, or outright threatening/illegal activity should be tolerated. So, your assertion I'm a defender of political censorship doesn't pass my smell test. And, in point of fact, I recall recently explicitly saying I DON'T defend News Hounds if indeed they're deleting posts.
 
But I'll just have to sit here like Scooter Libby shrugging I don't know what you're talking about.
 
And if, per my habit, I don't bother coming back to this 'thread' don't go around acusing me of hit 'n run. I have forums open to you and anyone. So, I'm hardly hiding from debate.

Well, you deflect from your charges against me, undocumented, to complain about not being able to find anything in the comments. And you imply that I have some special ability to search the comments to find stuff.
 
Um, sorry, no. I've never been able to search the haloscan comments using their system and get anything older than about a week. So I fall back on that obscure, rarely mentioned tool called Google. I just put in "sknabt" and "foaming" and, presto, there it was. It didn't take me all of a Saturday. It took 30 seconds:
