Okay so either, Media Matters or Hillary is lying.

Oh! they are going to say, "Gibson doctored the tape!"

Yeah that's it!

Snore. Still on the Gibson liar. He has said uncountable times that MM is funded by Soros. It's a demonstrable falsehood. He repeats it without any proof. Now we're supposed to listen to him about this?

Johnny, words have meaning. Words like "funded secretly" and "invented by". Does Gibson have proof of a single dollar from Clinton to MM? Does he have a shred of evidence that Clinton CREATED MM?

No. He has a vaguely worded statement of support from Clinton for MM. That's it.

Johnny, journalists use facts. They don't say "funded secretly" or "invented by" unless they can back it up. Gibson can't back up anything. He isn't a journalist, he's just a liar.

"He has a vaguely worded statement of support from Clinton for MM."

"...institutions that I helped to start and support like Media Matters and Center for American Progress." -Clinton, @ YearlyKOS Convention, Aug 4 '07.

Doesn't seem all that vague to me.

I went to MMFA's website since I heard this audio. They put up anything Gibson says about them and this thing here is mysteriously absent. Wonder why?

Does Gibson have proof of a single dollar from Clinton to MM? Does he have hard evidence that Clinton CREATED MM?

No.

He lies.

He lies by playing HIllary's own statement? Then are you saying that Hillary lied? It's her own words.

You can argue about a lot of things, but legally, when somebody makes a statement bragging that they founded Media Matters, that's called an admission. And a jury couldn't ask for better evidence than when someone admits to what they did.

On the Mark
I am curious about the fascination with John Gibson. He seems to get a large amount of play on this site and he has a small but devoted fan base. Yet, I view him (and viewed him prior to his FOX or Fox rebirth) as something of a welter weight. Hannity and O'Reilly, both of whom I find more offensive, are strong suits, but Gibson? I don't even find him offensive, just a minor irritant. Sort of like when you are wearing a shirt, and that little tag in the yoke causes a minor discomfort from time-to-time during the day .... Even his time-slot seems to indicate he is trolling for disaffected Oprahites, at least on television. I am not criticizing this focus upon him, I am sure it is legitimate, but I do truly wonder what it is he brings to the table.

I agree the focus is on Gibson too much. If you're going to have an over-sampling, Johnny , there's plenty of people on FoxNews more deserving.

Well, we ran with the clip where Gibson catches Media Matters editing Rush's words. But that kind of obliges us to include the Gibson clip from the next day where he notes that Rush edited his transcript as well. Otherwise it would be like following a story and dropping it half way through. Thus, the latest installment where Gibby responds to the demand letter from MM.

This is getting good. JD's been hitting the JD and it's not making him any smarter.

>>You can argue about a lot of things,

Yes, you sure can, and we can laugh.

>>but legally,

Legally? You're a legal expert now?

>>when somebody makes a statement bragging that they founded Media Matters,

Founded! Now Clinton founded MM. This is what you heard? How much JD is left in that bottle?

>>>that's called an admission. And a jury couldn't ask for better evidence than when someone admits to what they did.

Oh, F. Lee Bailey again. Yes, in JD's legal fantasy land, a stump speech is on par with testimony under oath, with signed contracts. JD doesn't need to see the letter of incorporation of MM, because he has proof positive Clinton founded MM.

Thanks, JD, keep 'em coming.

Have been for years.

Well one thing is clear, you're not one.

Johnny, you took the words right out of my mouth, John Gibson PLAYS A TAPE of Hillary, and John Gibson is lying. So what does that make Hillery?

WCW you sound like a Dem.

I don't think you should be calling Hillary a liar. The newshounds would not be happy.
