You notice Gibson is always reacting to something. He never seems to be pro-active. That alone says words about his mindset.

Having said that, and as much as I loathe the vice-president, the coarse and flip "conversation" is not at all appealing. It charcaterizes both or all sides in this nation now, and it is an unfortunate trend in our democracy. Just a bit of civility would be refreshing.

From my own observation, I'd say that the coarse, hateful speech is MUCH more a part of the Democrat side than the Republican anymore. That is, it has gone mainstream on the Democrat side, so that you no longer have just the "nuts" speaking in such a way, but average, everyday types of people on all the left sites.

Ask them what it is Cheney is supposed to have done, and what evidence they have of same, and they won't be able to answer you. They are full-on in the "he's a witch! Burn him!" stage, and there's no reasoning with them.

So, while there is bile on the right, it is so overwhelming on the left that I'm not going to equate the two.

The sainted left wing of the Democrat Party has lost it's hold on reason and sanity. They have such an abiding hatred for Bush & Chaney that nothing is beneath them. This past weekend the Congresswoman for Indianapolis, Julia Carson, reported that she has terminal lung cancer. As you would expect the Republican Party here in Indiana expressed their concern, sympathy and condolences to their Democrat opponent's family and friends. Civility and respect still exist in politics but apparently only on the conservative side of the aisle.

Olbermann obviously has the same affect on The Far Right as Rush does on The Left. Amazing how these loons on both sides of the aisle continue to destroy America.

This is OTM's "reaching out" effort being here. No doubt a regular on the blue blogs, OTM is aware of the vexed, blood curdling rage of his fellow secular progressives and comes here to project his own sense of shame onto us. There is nobody more bigoted, angry, violent and deadly than a full on leftist. Note the blue blogs, note 100 Million or so who've died under the despots who've espoused the same socialist dreams.
