Today’s oops — I’ve read that line or a variation thereof before, in the last week or so, and it wasn’t a quote from Putin. IIRC, it was attributed to a U.S. military person, not Denzel Washington.

Just realized that tvbythenumbers.zap2it[dot]com has apparently discontinued their dedicated web page for cable news ratings. That’s disappointing. Oh well.

The last entry appears to be October 8th.

    • I asked about this a few weeks ago on twitter and they told me they lost their source for cablenews ratings. They expressed some notion of coming up with a new source but so far, they haven’t.

        TY for the update.

What I liked about them — as opposed to TVNewser — was that it was much easier to track multiple days — whether that be two consecutive days or an entire week.

        For example,
How much did Trevor Noah’s or Stephen Colbert’s ratings drop on their second airings after the premieres?
How bad were Chuck Todd’s ratings for his first week?
How many days in a row did Megyn Kelly finish #1 in the demo for all of cable news?

Yes, I plead guilty to being a bit of a ratings junky. We retirees have too much free time on our hands. 😊

  • Mr. Bill is taking the rest of the week off. I assume he’ll take all of next week off, too. If not, he’ll just do Monday and Tuesday.

    • And word on the subs, or will it be Bolling, Bolling, and more Bolling?

      • For tonight, it’s Bolling. He’ll probably fill in tomorrow and next week, too.

Wasn’t that a Jerry Lewis movie?

        • Grandpa D

Along with Tony Curtis and 3 Stewardesses Flight Attendants.

You have no idea how pleased I am someone got that.

Boeing, Boeing. The big star was the 707.

    • Larry Kelly

Maybe he can rest up because it took him 7 years to give up on something it took me only 7 weeks.

      • Bam!

      • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

I gave up on the lunatic when he was a state senator. I watched his antics on the Chicago news.

i pray for him daily. I don’t know if this means I haven’t given up on him or that I haven’t given up on God moving to make him more than the small-time pol that he is.

          • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

He won’t listen to God. He has too much arrogance and pride. Nothing could change him. We could lose a city, and in his twisted mind, we had it coming.

          • Cecelia

I’ll leave the listening to God thing up to God’s authority in this instance, but I do agree with you that Pres. Obama is of the bent that the West has brought this on ourselves.

    • My “if not” may be proven right. He’s on tonight.

Actually I watch the little watched Bloomberg show because I’ve always liked the pair and Bloomberg makes the show available three times in the evening. It just went from 30 to 60 minutes a week or so ago.

  • Today’s most popular links:
    5 threatens to pull
    4 he’s ‘given up’
    3 looking to simulcast

And the most popular link in today’s links…

CNN twits seem to have a compulsive need to Tweet themselves out of a job.

    • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

Is CNN still on the air? Last I checked it was fuzz and static. Which would probably have higher ratings.

Watching Lester Holt in Paris tonight. Man, this guy is good at his job.
