  • Larry Kelly

A little hard to keep Roger in the news these days, but Fox-haters are inspired.

  • Larry Kelly

So “Three Girls and One Cupp” didn’t get green-lighted?

    • Lurker

      2 Girls 1 Cup =P

      • Larry Kelly

        Allows deniability…

      • timdub70

The first time S.E. was ever on Red Eye, she was on with PAB and Alison Rosen. At halftime Andy remarked, “Two Girls and a Cupp.”

        • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

          Giggity!

  • Larry Kelly
  • ojfl

Cupp’s Vimeo video seems to have been pulled.

  • Gabriel Sherman=Shaun King

    • GATXER

The Disgraced newshounds believe everything he prints…..you don’t need to know more than that.

Could he be right….sure…..however he has a track record worst than a newshound “writer” when it comes to Fox News.

      • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

I can’t think of one thing that Sherman has ever been right about. He simply provides reading material for the mental onanism of the anti-FOX mob.

  • Larry Kelly
  • gcblues

if i was one of the very few people that paid taxes in Baltimore i would be pretty ticked off that they are spending all that time and money prosecuting the police while entire town seemed to catch a bad case of “insanity”. wonder what it is like in the pre-shift updates. lets roll blue team.

  • Chippy

Murdoch dosen’t want another News of the World on his hands again…..so slinging Ailes over the side early doors seems sensible.

    • Larry Kelly

If their review turns up issues that are indefensible, then it makes no sense to defend.

      • Haven’t the Murdoch whelps been looking to get rid of him for some time now? This could be a perfect opportunity, regardless of how the investigation turns out.

        • Larry Kelly

Wishful thinking by the left, unless you have something new.

      • From the Sherman article:

        >>While Gretchen Carlson’s sexual-harassment lawsuit against Ailes sparked the investigation, sources say it has expanded into a wide-ranging inquiry into Ailes’s controversial management style.<<

        • Larry Kelly

          “Sources say” meh

          • Given the highly restrictive NDAs, people might have to speak off the record. And I *think* it’s plausible, in that the Murdoch kiddies have supposedly long wanted to get rid of him. So what better way, than to use a sexual harassment lawsuit to launch a wider investigation?

          • Larry Kelly

Conjecture won’t be something until it’s fact.

          • I suppose we’ll know one way or the other before too long

          • Larry Kelly

Maybe. Depends when the investigation is finished. If you buy Sherman, and his recent produce has been spoiled, it was finished already.

          • Cecelia

Exactly. Who knows. It wasn’t too many years ago that the prevailing meme was that Murdoch couldn’t stand Ailes. That they were oil and water and Rupert tolerated Roger because Fox is the cash cow of the empire.

That narrative accompanied speculation that Ailes was on his way out because the prevailing new world order (as harkened and evidenced by an Obama Administration and Democratic House and Senate) would compel Fox to become more progressive or lose its viewership.

            That didn’t quite play out.

It was amusing to me to recently see Murdoch now described as bosom buddy to Ailes.

It is plausible that the Murdoch sons might want a network less despised by the elites even if it affected ratings. That is not an unknown phenomenon as evidenced in the movie industry where family fare that rakes in huge amounts by appealing to a larger demographic is eschewed by companies and investors interested in more “artistic” vehicles.

            We’ll see.

        • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

Sherman has never been right about his “inside scoops.”

          • Never? Yikes, how does he keep his job? I realize it’s not exactly a high-level publication any longer, but still…

          • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

He feeds them what their readers want.

        • Cecelia

Saying an investigation of sexual harassment expanded into a supervisor’s management style, is like saying exploratory surgery for abdominal cancer expanded into an examination of the patient’s lymph nodes.

That “expansion” is always part and parcel of the whole.

  • Lurker

    Gabe Sherman is an IDIOT!

Ailes is FOX News, FOX News is a BIG part of News Corp

Getting rid of Ailes would probably mean a drop of a few Billion from News Corp Stock!!!

    • How do you know there’s no proof? Are you one of the attorneys investigating for the Murdochs?

  • Larry Kelly

“Maddow understands that what she said is just not true.”
That is not a revaluation for a liberal. Not even POTUS. Standard business practice. Look at the news about the Iran nuke deal out today.

  • From Sherman’s article:
    http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/07/murdochs-have-decided-to-remove-roger-ailes.html

    >>The lawyers are seeking to interview former female employees of Fox News in addition to current staff. They are also looking into the appropriateness of Ailes’s pressuring employees to speak out on his behalf, against his accusers. For instance, they are focusing on an op-ed written by Fox Business anchor Neil Cavuto in which Cavuto called the allegations against Ailes “sick.” As Cavuto is a manager at Fox News (his title is senior VP and managing editor), his comments could be seen as part of a corporate attempt to silence women who would speak out.<<

I found that second sentence rather curious. But unless they've got more than Cavuto's op-ed, it sounds like a reach. If it's even true

    • Larry Kelly

      Nothing burger.

      • I’m curious as to why you’re that confident

        • Larry Kelly

Talking about Neil. You answered that on your own.

          • Oh, that. Yes. I think if that’s the only basis for implying that employees are being forced to publicly support Ailes, then I think it’s a garbage claim

      • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

We don’t have any here, but I’d kill for a Whataburger.

    • fammus1

On my DVR “Your World with Neil Cavuto” has been renamed “Your World” Stuart Varney hosts. Has anyone seen Neil Cavuto in the last few weeks? I thought he might be ill.

      • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

Neil had heart surgery a few weeks ago. I don’t know how long he’ll be out.

        • fammus1

I didn’t know that, prayers for Him and his family. Still doesn’t explain the DVR name change of His show.

  • Larry Kelly

CNN now: Jake Tapper keeps interrupting Dana Bash before she can get her explanations voiced. She should stick her sock in his mouth.

    • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

Or hit him over the head with a chair.

  • Larry Kelly

When I was a little kid, all there was on TV was NBC, CBS, and ABC. They all covered the conventions gavel to gavel. To a little boy, an entire week of nothing but that on television was a very long time.

    • Grandpa D

To this old great grandpa it’s still a very long time.

      • Larry Kelly

But at least you have 200 other channels to watch and a DVD player, and your DVR and streaming this and streaming that and…

        • Cecelia

          And there’s nothing on…

          • Larry Kelly

I set up that with a straight line worthy of Dick Smothers.

          • Cecelia

            And ended up with Henny.

          • gcblues

actually, there are upside down nachos being cold smoked, its on right now.

  • Larry Kelly

News Alert: Man armed with ax injures multiple people on a train in Germany, local reports say.

    OKAY PEOPLE, place your bets.
    a) Muslim inspired by radical Islam
    b) Former alter boy down on his luck
    c) Sore loser at the bratwurst festival
    d) Random crazy with an ax fetish

    • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

      It’s a). 17 year old Afghan refugee.

    • Cecelia

      We won’t ever really know…sigh…

      • Larry Kelly

He shouted “Allahu Akbar” some reported, but he may just been clearing his throat. Only 17, I’m awaiting the picture at 12 in a Hollander shirt.

    • Cecelia

The most willfully obtuse one is the thing about the Bastille Day attacker not doing it for Allah because he drank and ate pork.

Before our Orwellian overlords had utterly dumbed down the national dialogue we could admit to comprehending how it could be that the 9-11 attackers visited strip clubs and bars while plotting their attack and not be too surprised that Osama Bin Laden possessed a porno collection.

      • Larry Kelly

It only counts if you’re a good Muslim.

        • Cecelia

Guess so. Now that Muslims have congealed into another of their poster kids for anti-westernism and a potential refugee enhanced Democratic voting bloc, there’s no stopping the suspension of common sense.

          • Larry Kelly

The LEFT can only pray for the release of the minions of hell as they are pretty sure how’d they vote. Well, if they prayed, that is.

As Ive said before the disgraced newshound types count on their readers being idiots……..so today’s there’s this:

    https://twitter.com/BadFoxGraphics/status/755181625248391169

How can Rev. Al Sharpton be considered Hollywod you might ask….what’s wrong with Fox you ask ? Well you don’t because if you are reading this you probably aren’t a mindless hater drone.

Oh thats right the Rev. has appeared in Multiple TV shows and Movies….performed at a Tony awards….hint that makes him a actor. AKA…hollywood.

    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0789314/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

    Their desperation is showing.

    • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

But…but…but, Oswald Cobblepot claims that F&F hates on Hillary. This is his new version of wailing on about Obama-bashing.

    • Larry Kelly

He is an actor. Certainly isn’t a real reverend.

  • gcblues

4 nights of this will have a bigger impact than pundits supposed.

  • GATXER

Wait….MSNBC has LO being the fact checker of the night and he said they would have to do more fact checking for this convention than others live on TV?

ARE you watching stooges…..that’s what a political party pretending to be a news network really looks like……can anyone imagine Fox making Hannity the fact checker for the night?

    • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

They should’ve gone for the gold and appointed Brian Williams as fact checker.

  • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

You know, I think the lady in the toll booth in the McDonalds commercial is really a cutie. Beautiful eyes and smile.
