Woah Greta on MSNBC would be very interesting and a change of pace for MSNBC. Plus that would give her and Tucker Carlson something in common being on all 3 main cable news channels.

    • Larry Kelly

Tucker with bonus points for his PBS show (back in GWB era when they feared budget cuts).

      • sky303

I guess My PBS stations didn’t air that, or I don’t remember it hmm good catch though.

        • Larry Kelly

I remember his last episode when he took his set apart.

          • sky303

Sad I missed that, my first time seeing Tucker was MSNBC , never watched Crossfire so.

    • Larry Kelly

I read a wise man’s comment that it would “drive stooges crazy”.

      • That’s a short trip. And it’s already in progress.

  • Larry Kelly

Mika’s text messages from Valarie Jarrett replaced by Donald himself? Hey, I wouldn’t rule it out. Maybe a Twitter DM?

  • Mitch Alan

Greta always seemed to be to the right of Joe Scarborough. That would be MSNBC’s second Republican?

    • Grandpa D

Greta is a Democrat. Well, at least close.

      • Greta treats all sides with respect. That’s why the MSNBC cultists are up in arms; they have no clue what she does and get all their information from liars like O’Donnell and Maddow. Assuming this all proves true, Greta will do fine there, still treating everyone with respect, but the bookers will do like they do for Hayes etc and tilt the guest lists in a way to pander to the cult. Result: almost instantaneously there will be a ‘strange new respect’ for Greta because she’s no longer an employee of the eeeevil super villains of Fox News. But she’ll be crushed by Bret Baier and how long she’ll put up with that while making just a fraction of what she earned at FNC remains to be seen.

        • Mitch Alan

Trump and other Republicans will certainly appear on her show, unlike the rest of MSNBC.

        • Well that was fast. Same MSNBC cultist, just six hours apart:

-> Well, -there’s- a super not good idea.
-> Cool, she can try her hand at journalism again.

They’ve got the reprogramming down to a science.

          • Larry Kelly

North Korea could use such talents.

          • sky303

MSNBC tried the whole lean forward thing … it didn’t work so they have to try something different, and the fans of that programming style have to live with MSNBC decision to cut it.

        • sky303

I think she’s been very fair to both sides, she says what she thinks and it’s always varied.
I’d watch her on MSNBC … and I think she’ll crush Wolf.. at least.

      • Lurker

Greta is BFF’s with Hillary, that’s why she came on her show for an interview

I think Greta is a PUMA, she hates Obama for stealing the nomination away from Hillary

Don’t know what Greta will do at MSNBC? Revert back into more of a Liberal? Hmmm

      • Mitch Alan

If so, she was certainly quite fair to Trump, more so than Scarborough.

  • Larry Kelly

Who had a chimp on his cable news show?

    • I was about to say Dave Garroway, but that was a little before the days of cable news. (I do remember the chimp you are referring to, though; I don’t believe he lasted the entire run of the program.)

      • Cecelia

And the host seemed absolutely terrified of it too.

        • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

A jimp would make more sense than Maddow.

      • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

        His name was appropriately. “Moe.”

    • Dennis Miller.

  • sky303

Re Concha: If MSNBC learned anything they learned that having the same pov from 1pmet-11pmet is annoying and boring. Their current schedule is much better. Greta would be a great choice for MSNBC (and I think they would let her be Greta, she doesn’t seem to be the person you force around).

  • Today’s most popular links:
    5 14 of top 15 slots
    4 latest Trump news
    3 bland welcome
    2 6:00pm slot
And the most popular link in today’s links…
1 Wemple: Tucker Carlson, Fox’s ‘sexist pig’.

  • Mitch Alan

Greta kind of reminds me of Major Garrett, who also hated working for Fox News. Maybe she is more liberal than we thought.

    • Larry Kelly

Major left on his own volition. I think Greta stumbled into an opportunity and then tripped out the door.

      • Mitch Alan

She is taking a big pay cut with a much smaller audience.

        • Larry Kelly

          Beats doing the crosswords.

          • Mitch Alan

What was this “great opportunity” you speak of? The opportunity to ditch FNC?

          • Larry Kelly

The opportunity to raise her salary in the middle of her contract.

          • Mitch Alan

How did that work out for her?

          • Larry Kelly

When that’s the whole point… to state the obvious.

  • Larry Kelly

I’d never invite Wemple to the cabin. He would nitpick everything.

  • Larry Kelly

I like diverse perspectives unless they come from dueling political consultants shouting above each other.
