What in the world happened to Andrea Tantaros?
    Suing over a tweet?

    • ojfl

She seems very bitter these days.

      • TheMightyINB

*She seems straight up nuts these days.

        Aaaaand I’ve been sued.

        • ojfl

        • Larry Kelly

Don’t you still have one pending.

      • Cecelia

I wonder if that’s because she’s still being held to her contract.

        • GATXER

I think that exactly why she seems bitter.

        • ojfl

I did not know that. Do you understand why? It has been over a year already.

          • Cecelia

            It was a conjecture.

          • ojfl

Seems like a good conjecture to me. Better than mine. 😀

O’Reilly made tons of money for FNC. He wasn’t even given a chance to say good-bye to his viewers. He was treated shabbily in the end.

      • Larry Kelly

He and Greta ought to meet for lunch.

      • Lurker

I read FOX is paying BOR his $25 million a year contract he signed awhile ago

        • GATXER

OK….just guessing here but if Fox Fired BO using the morals clause I believe that would free BO to go to a new network immediately……..paying his contract off may keep him from going somewhere else until the contract is up…….that might be worth 25 Million to Fox alone.

Ill to wait till its my day to be Jim Pinkerton to be sure….LOL…… of course J$ background may give him a idea.

          • Larry Kelly

            we can’t all be Jim.

          • Michael Tf

LIked Jim on Fox News Watch.

The first one — hosted by Eric Burns — not the less balanced, more partisan one that followed from 2008-2015 hosted by Jon Scott.

Jim is kinda like the Republican (or Libertarian) version or opposite counterpart to the Democrat Alan Colmes. He was mellow and often disagreed without being disagreeable. They could both be very charming.

          • Michael Tf

I could ne mistaken, but it’s my understanding a “morals clause” was not invoked.

      • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

We don’t know the exact circumstances of the exit without a final goodbye. Mabye he was told to apologize on-air in return for finishing out the summer and refused.

  • Tucker has quite a big guest for his first show in the Factor time slot.

    • Michael Tf

One of my weaknesses (or contradictions) as a strong supporter of LGBTQ.

Caitlin Jenner is a huge turnoff. Perhaps I’ll come around eventually. I’m usually more accepting — like in the case of Cher’s kid.

    • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

I have no time for the Kardashians or any of their hangers-on.

      • Larry Kelly

not much hanging on I hear

        • Nixon – niihpikiiookani

Hasn’t had the final surgery. It’s just a publicity scam.

    • GATXER

The only important question is….will she be in the A block?

I grew up a huge fan………….probably the only person who liked his part on CHIPS. However I didn’t know for years that he had anything to do with the Kardashians…….but I doubt I could pick any of them out of a line up…..just not my thing.

  • Michael Tf

So where does Mr. Bill land next.

    Any guesses?

Bill O’Reilly: Conservative News Outlets Likely to Pounce Post-Fox News Ouster

I guess if pressed I would go with co-authoring books and some movie involevment. But no more TV.

  • Minnesota Nice

Who hosted The Factor* last night?

    *Feels ridiculous saying without O’Reilly.

    • sky303

      Dana Pernio

    • GATXER

I don’t know where my DVR get its info from……..but they should hire me because I couldn’t do a worse job at updating stuff………..last week they updated the ORF to say the factor for one show and then Friday its said something like Friday factor……now it says the factor……..however the new line up for next week hasn’t changed one bit……..I remember about a moth after Tucker took over it still had Brit Hume listed for that hour a few times….drives me crazy.

      Rant over.

Tech question — In Disqus, is there a way to use wildcard characters in your blocked user list?

    • Michael Tf

      Not to worry.

I’ve asked Johnny to ask Nixon to stop referring to me directly — or indirectly as either a hypocrit, a troll or a racist.

If Nixon stops I real have no reason to use an unblocked Disqus handle. again.

It worked for most of February and all of March with no name calling.

No reason it can’t resume. It makes reading this blog so much more pleasant.

    • Larry Kelly

      or perhaps scent recognition?

  • J$, are you posting video of the final Factor segment, or at least the sign-off?

    • carolr527

I was surprised that Greg Gutfeld hosted the final Factor.

      • sky303

I remember one of the news articles saying Dana does rest of the week except Friday..with Greg.

        • carolr527

Greg did a good job, especially his comments at the end. I got choked up when they dimmed the lights.

          • Saintsfan720

Greg was great as always. BTW, very interesting and funny Twitter posts from his former “Red Eye” sidekick Bill Schulz about the BOR situation.

          • Michael Tf

            Even some not so funny.

            @BillSchulz Apr 20
That is just mind melting. Sorry. But O’Reilly was a known predator from the moment I got there. Unreal that this is still debatable.

    • The final segment turned into a plug for Tucker Carlson’s show: you can see it at the link below. A bit too promotional for me to post. However after that Greg gave a succinct wrap up to the show and its importance to cable news and I’d like to post that, though Fox doesn’t seem to have done so, and my DVR didn’t record it because the name of the show changed! Still working on that. May yet be able to post it.

My favorite quote of the day. From Vanity Fair:
“Unkind as it is to say, reading anything by Chelsea Clinton—tweets, interviews, books—is best compared to taking in spoonfuls of plain oatmeal that, periodically, conceal a toenail clipping.”

  • Michael Tf

In 20/20 Preview, Caitlyn Jenner Attends Backyard BBQ

Won’t Tucker Carlson’s “First Big Interview” on Monday as promoted by ‘Fox Friendly’ Mediate suffer in the ratings by comparison.

I think most of us are familiar with the expression “sloppy seconds.”

Were Tucker’s bookers aware that ABC had already ‘nabbed Caitlyn’ for Friday night?

Or perhaps TC will still get decent ratings given that there is probably not much cross over between FNC loyaliss and ABC viewers…a small Venn Diagram intersection if you will.

  • Mitch Alan

Kind of sleazy that FNC didn’t let Bill say goodbye after him being a cash cow all these years. Once you stop making money for Fox they throw you away like a used piece of tissue paper.
