Nicely influenced by Prometheus as spoken in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s poem “The Masque of Pandora” (1875).

holy tomatoes, thanks to the link to that essay

On F&FW, every time Pete Hegseth, aka Pete the Parrot says the failing New York Times it just reinforces the impression he can’t think for himself.

    • Mitch Alan

He isn’t Pete the Parrot, he is Pete the Eagle. And he is so right about the New York Times.

As the recent suicide of the band Linkin Park’s “frontman” confirms, drugs and alcohol are no solution to coping with life’s problems, kids. Not even for the famous.

  • Larry Kelly

And I thought it was from my tweeting, “@jaketapper #lardass”.

    • Grandpa D

      Or more politely, #Criscohips.

I don’t think I would describe Kat Timpf as either a conservative OR a Republican.

    • She’s a libertarian, as J$ noted in the link title. Some of her libertarian viewpoints have gotten on my nerves, not to mention her use of the “neocon” pejorative for national security/law and order hawks.

      • carolr527

Yes, Kat is a Libertarian, but the article describes her more as a Conservative and a Republican. One of the things that bothers me about her is how she pushes the legalization of drugs into almost any topic. She just did this the other night on Kennedy’s show. There are pros and cons to legalizing drugs but Kat always makes it sound like drug legalization would solve all the country’s problems. A lot of Libertarians probably think it makes them look cool.

        • gcblues

there are many republicans that are FDR like libs. exactly like the president. There might be people that have claimed to be libertarian like bill maher, but it is false as all they want is legal drugs, they are fine with big govt just like the demopublicans occupying the senate. However, by definition, all libertarians are American conservative. Kat is a conservative and does not give a rat’s behind about any party. That is conservative and i concur.

  • FYI:

This is amazing, in a seriously disturbed sort of way. Hundreds of rage tweets over the course of a few evening hours, directed at Tucker Carlson, Hannity, anything Fox. I haven’t done the long division but this has to be in the neighborhood of a tweet a minute, for hours on end. And banal. Repetitive. Infantile. Utterly un-selfaware. I’m beginning to understand what you told me.

Hat-tip: The Cable Gamer. Regular readers should be able to figure out who she’s talking about without me naming names. The repetitive tweets are particularly obsessive. He says the same thing, over and over, changing a word or punctuation mark so twitter won’t reject it as a duplicate. And of course there are the obligatory tips to the CNN gang to make sure they haven’t missed anything. But looking at the bright side, it’s good to know there’s somebody whose Friday nights are so desperately lame they make mine look like a Party in the USA.

I am pre-emptively rejecting any notion I will hire Jeffrey Toobin, even though I love the sound of his name.

    • Mitch Alan

I always thought he was black, but he is actually Jewish. He is never introduced as being a liberal, another CNN subterfuge. He is just their “objective” legal analyst.

  • Cecelia

    These are great!

The only one I’ve heard is “fopdoodle”.

    My grandmother used it.

    • Grandpa D

I’ve certainly run into a lot of zounderkites on the internet.

      • Cecelia

I come from a long line of snoutbands.

Brian Stelter references Trump scandals, so Kellyanne Conway asks him to name one. Stelter is flustered, then he mentions Trump’s rhetoric!

After Conway is amused by this, Stelter then adds Pres. Trump’s treatment of the media…

    • LenInFlux

What was Stelter doing in the middle of the woods???

      • Cecelia

        What bears do?

I believe that bears Wemple in the woods.

I don’t see Ari Melber pulling in great ratings for MSNBC at 6pm. He seems like a nice guy and all that but he’s too…..I don’t know…..low-key or bland or something along those lines.

PROGRAMMING ALERT: Geraldo Rivera hosts ‘OJ Simpson: Justice Served?’ 8pm ET

Just woke up from my nap with this on the TV. Thought for a sec I’d died and went to hell.
