Speak First, Get the Facts Later

It's another humiliation for the Outfoxed gals, who can't even take five minutes to check their facts before they embarrass themselves. Updated! With J$P Video!

Here is a hot news bulletin from the newshounds (another fine product of the Outfoxed mafia). We offer it to you in its entirety:
"Deal" Reached on Filibuster But Fox is Mum
Since at least 7:56 p.m. ET, CNN has been covering the "Breaking News" that a "deal" has been reached in the Senate over the filibuster issue. Meanwhile, Fox News is airing a taped O'Reilly show.
Comment: I imagine Fox is waiting to be told just how to spin this.
UPDATE: 8:13 p.m. ET - Fox is on it now.

"Imagine": just the right word for the "research" the curs do for their "reports". But it's enough to convince the credulous:
Hmmmmm.....no Faux Alerts or Breaking News, huh? They're trying to figure out how to spin this.
It's a sensitive issue, they're probably consulting with various officials in the GOP machine to develop a communications strategy to frame the this compromise as a "victory" for the GOP who in no way appeased the opposition.
They can't even put in an alert when there really is one.
Faux News Alerts for Michael Jackson arriving to court wearing pajamas and none for this. I guess they're giving Sean Insanity his GOP talking points.

It's hard to believe that after the hounds have misreported, fabricated, and lied repeatedly, their sycophants still swallow their bilge as if it were true. But the facts tell us otherwise. It was 7:17 pm when Fox broke the news (with a Fox News Alert) [QuickTime video clip; allow file time to load]:

  • Item: Fox first reported the general terms of this deal last Thursday.
  • Item: Fox was the first to report tonight that the deal had been made.
  • Item: Fox had continuing coverage leading up to the 7:30 pm press conference, through the presser itself, and afterwards.

But the anti-Fox terriers don't care. Fox is "mum". Fox is "waiting" to report it--even though they had the news before anyone else!

They claim they "watch Fox so you don't have to", but they don't even know that Fox was all over the story, and ahead of the competition to boot. Or they did know it, and lied. Whether it's incompetence or dishonesty, one thing is clear: they're pathetic.

Update: When someone posted a comment to their article pointing out the facts we've laid out, the hounds--in the interest of truth and responsibility--deleted it!

And if the Fox Hounds didn't have their watches set when the story broke live, FNC aired a repeat of Shep's show, complete with the News Alert and the press conference at 12 Midnight ET/9pm PT instead of the scheduled replay of Special Report with Brit Hume.

Yep. That's why it doesn't have the "live" banner flying in the corner.

After covering the story for 45 minutes straight, you are complaining that they then covered other news? Maybe Fox should tape-delay their stories for a half-hour just so Appleseed can get the news 30 minutes late. Either that, or just buy a tivo and you can watch the previous hour's news all you want.
