And a NewsHound Up a Pear Tree

Graphic proof that nothing from the Outfoxed cabal can be trusted. Updated!

In our chronicles of the newshounds (another fine product of the Outfoxed syndicate) we have documented carelessness, hypocrisy, deceit, and much more. In which category does this latest embarrassment belong? We report, you decide.

Newspup nancy declares:
Do As Fox Says, Not As Fox Does
On this morning's edition of FNL (12/7), I saw the perfect example of Fox hypocrisy. Fox has been in a lather about various "anti-Christian" stories for the past couple of weeks, especially with the approaching holiday season....As FNL was going to an ad break at 11:15am today (12/7), the first ad [actually not an ad but a bumper --J$] that ran was a "season's greetings" card from Fox to viewers -- with their usual montage/fade effects, this time of flickering candles & nutcrackers. And what was the message displayed on screen? From All of Us To All of You, Happy Holidays
NOT "Merry Christmas". Nope, Fox used the "anti-Christian", non-denominational, SENSITIVE phrase "Happy Holidays".

A lengthy reply to such a display of egocentric conceit on the part of the newspoodles is hardly necessary:

Update: FNC continues to run Christmas and Hanukkah bumpers with Bible verses and Hanukkah blessings. TV writers have even written about it, but newspup nancy still acts as if these spots do not exist--not one word of explanation, correction, or retraction. See (and hear) for yourself:

Hear the audio track for panel four.

O boy Faux has turned into "God's News Channel." Next they'll be hiring Jerry Fallwell to do a Sunday Morning devotional. Happy Holidays!

Just replying to your post on News Hounds. http://www.newshounds.us/2004/12/26/fox_hypocrisy.php
JD if you had read the Newshounds post CAREFULLY, you would have learned that the the article referred to Christmas Night. You know 12/25/2004. The key words in the post is LAST NIGHT. NOT December 8th when you took the screen shots and posted them on your website. LAST NIGHT. LAST NIGHT. LAST NIGHT. JD you're the one who needs to get a clue! Happy Holidays.

No, it wasn't LAST NIGHT LAST NIGHT. It was 30 minutes from last night. Do you or the newspoodles have any clue as what was broadcast in the other 23 and a half hours? I didn't think so.

In fact, of the six Christmas bumpers we screen-capped, at least five of them (probably all six) ran yesterday. On December 25. That's Christmas.

I think you might find the old fable about the three blind men and the elephant instructive, if that is possible. Merry Christmas.

JD sound's like he has his panties in a wad. I am just saying Faux went a record 30 minutes, THIRTY MINUTES without as much as practicing what they have been preaching for the last month. Ya know I could care less what faux puts on the air. BUT for a record thirty minutes Faux didn't practice what they have been jumping on other people for, "Taking Christmas out of Christmas." Why can't ya practice what ya preach?

Of course your argument is circular, illogical, and ultimately irrelevant. You are somehow confusing news coverage and analysis with advertising slots. I doubt that an official Fox position on Christmas has ever been laid out in any of their ads or bumpers. Or do you think anything an opinion commentator says = official network policy? That's going to be mighty confusing. Is policy set by Hannity or Colmes? By Shep Smith or Greta? Of course this entire line of "reasoning" is empty-headed, but I expect no less.

By the way Harrison, when the New Year rolls around make sure you check out our New Rules for posting. I wouldn't want to have to deprive our readers of any of your intellectual probity.
