The Outfoxed gals will lie with impunity to smear Fox. And they don't care who else gets slimed in the process.

We're busy this week with family business, but no matter our personal schedule, the Fox haters continue to fabricate and lie to smear FNC. That's why we had to take a few minutes out to expose the latest propaganda from the newshounds (another fine product of the Outfoxed cabal). We have nefarious nancy to thank for this cornucopia of doctored quotes and distortions:

Traitorgate Gets the FNL Treatment...[Fox] abandoned all pretense of "balance" in favor of hammering the same lame talking points that the reactionary noise machine has been floating since the scandal first broke.

In typical newsmutt fashion, the nefarious one cites Bill Hemmer's interviewees as responding with "talking points". She gives this example:

Hemmer interviewed Kenneth Bazinet (NY Daily News)... Bazinet opined that "perjury & obstruction are insignificant charges"

Nancy is lying:

BAZINET: We got a taste of it [White House strategy] over the weekend with Sen Kay Bailey Hutchinson, beginning to take a shot at the potential charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. It's sort of a strategy of trying to minimalize those charges.... Her statements, which certainly were sanitized or at least given a look over by the White House before she appeared on the Sunday shows, I think that gives us a pretty strong hint at the direction they're going.... I don't think that we will see the White House, or certainly not its allies, step away from the argument that perjury and obstruction are insignificant charges.

So Mr Bazinet did not opine anything. He was describing White House strategy. But that doesn't fit nancy's smear, so she falsely accuses Mr Bazinet of "opining" on his own. But there was more to come:

He added that "several people were quite aware" of Plame's identitiy [sic] & wrapped up with an observation that the "WMD argument segued into this sideshow."

More lies from nancy. The truth:

BAZINET: Certainly it does lend itself to the fact that several people were quite aware, again getting back to the war-room strategy at the beginning of this thing, that the whole idea was to make sure that they got the WMD, the Weapons of Mass Destruction Argument, out there, and then it kind of segged into this, what one person called the sideshow. So I think that the fact of the matter is, is that there may be several players, and this certainly looks like the Vice-President was aware of something.

Mr Bazinet said nothing about people being aware of Plame's identity--nancy just made that up. "Several people were quite aware" of the strategy to get the WMD argument out. And Bazinet's "observation", cited by nancy, is--again!--Mr Bazinet just reporting what he believes the "war room strategy" of the White House to be. But nancy uses her selectively edited quotes to twist the reporter's words around to 180 degrees opposite from their actual meaning, just to make it look like Mr Bazinet is spouting "talking points". And when Mr Bazinet finally does "opine" (that the Vice-President was aware), it doesn't fit nancy's spin so she conveniently edits that out.

Because the only way to smear Fox is to lie about what was said. And if you have to smear a respected reporter for the New York Daily News in the process, well, to the newsliars, it's only collateral damage.
