Wide-Angle DistortionThe Outfoxed gals might have gotten away with their latest pack of lies,
but they failed to consider all the Angles.
Two of a kind. Twins, if you will. A pair of Fox haters who will stoop
to anything to smear FNC. Clearly they must run with the newshounds (another
fine product of the Outfoxed cabal). And they do. Just what are deb and nancy
trying to pull now?
Debbie is upset at John Gibson for defending the holiday of Christmas. She is so upset that she sputters, fumes, and fabricates lies to make her case. Writing about the infamous Wal-Mart email, deb claims: Gibson displayed an embarrassing level of ignorance in his criticism... Not one example cited, but why confuse the newsmutts with facts? ...and actually got the poor guy fired which really seemed to please him. He got him fired? What's debbie's source for that? Not Wal-Mart, who, according to the AP, found his email "entirely inappropriate" and took action after the Catholic League objected. So where did deb get the idea that Gibson was responsible for the firing? She made it up! Then he went after Coca Cola because this year they took Santa off their cans. The next night he reported that Coca Cola was keeping Santa in all their ads but taking him off the cans.... He should have been embarrassed by now but he continued. Sounds like Mr Gibson got it wrong and had to backtrack. But no, it's just more lies. When he did his commentary on the Coke cans, he said they were keeping Santa in all their ads during that same commentary, not the next night: GIBSON: Santa's only 2005 Christmas season appearance on behalf of Coke will be on point of sale signs and banners. In fact, "the next night" Gibson's commentary had nothing whatever to do with Coke cans or Santa. So where did deb come up with the idea that it did? She made it up! There's more there, but you get the point. Besides, we have to turn to the other Outfoxed twin, nancy. You'll recall that she is the one who declared that the birth of Christ was just a lot of "nonsense". But we digress. Nance has a word or two on a Grapevine report about that professor who said our troops should turn their guns on their superiors: Daly supposedly emailed "freshman Rebecca Beach"... Hume quoted from the alleged email...Hume read only one cherry-picked, inflammatory phrase from the alleged email... Supposedly? Alleged? Who is nancy trying to kid here? The professor hasn't denied the email, and has defended what he wrote. What is supposedly alleged about it? Outside the Beltway reprints part of what they call the "alleged" email, admitting that it may be a forgery... Outside the Beltway "admitted" no such thing. In fact they say the opposite ("This would seem to be a legit story") and link to a local newspaper article that confirms it. So why is nancy not telling us this, and continuing to write "supposedly" and "alleged"? Because even when the evidence is staring everyone in the face, the newspoodles can't resist twisting the facts. Note how Hume read only one cherry-picked, inflammatory phrase from the alleged email ("Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors"). The entire sentence ("Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors and fight for just causes and for people's needs--such freedom fighters can be counted throughout American history and they certainly will be counted again.") has a decidedly different tone. Right. Throw in "just causes" and then all that stuff about soldiers shooting their superior officers takes on a completely different meaning. Only the newspooches would try to push this kind of drivel. Here's what Hume didn't mention: The invited speaker, Lt. Col. Scott Rutter, is a Fox News contributor. Let's see. Rutter's bio doesn't say so. The Fox News bio page doesn't list him. Maybe nancy will reveal her secret source for this tidbit of purported information, but she hasn't so far. But wait, the best is yet to come, the ultimate proof of doggie duplicity: the blurbs are delivered with Hume's trademark sneering... Hume said... Hume quoted from the alleged email... Hume read... what Hume didn't mention... Sorry, nancy: Brit Hume wasn't even there on Friday when this story aired. Jim Angle was hosting. Lke the critic who writes a review of a play and gets all the facts wrong because he never went to the theater, nancy gets caught in her own lies. She didn't even see the program! Will Hume issue a clarification? Sorry, girl. It's not Hume who lied. It's not Hume who got caught reviewing something without watching it. The clarification ball is in your court, and it should be a pip. posted: Tue - November 22, 2005 at 02:03 AM j$p  send Chris Golas nancy was commenting on what Hume said on Wednesday 11/16 NOT FRIDAY-NICE TRY-the letter/article appeared on friday-thats what nacy was talking about November 22, 2005, 6:15:33 PM EST – Like – Reply johnny dollar I am sorry but you are mistaken. The report that nancy talked about was NOT on Wednesday at all. It was on Friday, and Brit Hume didn't report it, Jim Angle did. Did you miss the screencap I posted showing Angle doing the report? Nancy wrote another article about Robert Scheer--that one Hume DID report on Wednesday. But I'm talking about her phony article on the nutty Professor, a story that aired on Friday. The professor story didn't even break until Thursday, so how exactly Hume could have been reporting it on Wednesday is beyond me. But I'm sure nancy will have an explanation. Maybe at the same time she can explain how she wrote a review of something she never even saw. Quote from nancy's article: "On Friday 11/18, item #4 was about John Daly, an English professor at Warren County Community College in NJ, who Hume said 'is defending an e-mail he sent a student' that is 'encouraging soldiers in Iraq to shoot their commanders.'"
