406 and CountingEven a stopped clock is right twice a day, but with every passing hour
the mendacity of the Outfoxed gals redoubles.
Now a few pickings from the Fox haters' grapevine, where all branches
have thorns, and the grapes are decidedly sour. Today's installment is brought
to you by the newshounds (another fine product from the Outfoxed
mob).
Little Janie has a real problem with facts: Last night (5/29) Fox News Correspondent David Asman substituted for Brit Hume on Special Report... Um, no, unless this is David Asman: We thought for sure that the hair would be a dead giveaway. This report dealt with White House requested alterations of some Tony Blair verbiage. To say that it confused Janie all to pieces would be an understatement. She claims: The segment was another typical one-sided hit piece against anyone that has something to say that is unsanctioned about the Administration. Simply more proof that Fox is the propaganda arm of this White House. So how does her headline read? Tony Blair Alters Stance on Iran for White House, Fox Takes Blair's Side Don't try to figure it out. It's hound logic. As one of the original Outfoxed gals, Judy can deceive with the best of them. Consider this bold-print headLie: Fox News: Capitol Alert Shows Government Works! Who do you suppose made this statement? Roger Ailes? Perhaps Mr Murdoch himself? Naw, it must be another example of the newspoodles grabbing a phrase from an FNC pundit and inflating it into the official position of the entire channel. So who made this evil observation? Judy tells us: As Brad Blakeman, of the Fox News D.C. Bureau, told anchor Bill Hemmer at one point: "What you’re seeing here is something we all can be proud of, whether this is an actual incident or not. We’re seeing our government work and work the way it is supposed to do...." Blakeman? We don't recall any reporter by that name at Fox's DC Bureau. So who is this guy? It turns out he was a GOPer who worked on the 2000 Bush/Cheney campaign. But now he works for Fox? No. He's one of their contributors then? Uh-uh. But Judy wants so badly to use his words against FNC that she decides to make him an employee of the Fox DC bureau. Where did she get that idea from? She made it up! And speaking of making things up, remember the spate of "fake news" the newspooches were spewing a few weeks ago? There was quite a kerfuffle over their insistence that Karl Rove had already been indicted, and newspup chrish made a promise to her credulous readers: If, IF, this story turns out to be erroneous I will most certainly issue a correction, an apology, and put myself in the doghouse. I do not consider the deafening silence in the major media to be evidence of anything other than extreme caution. Well, let's check chrish's chronology. Karl Rove was "indicted" on May 12. He had "24 hours to get his affairs in order". This "story" was proven false when that deadline passed, over 400 hours ago. Has chrish issued a correction? An apology? Did she put herself in the "doghouse"? No, no, and no again. It's bad enough that they lie about Fox. But the newsmutts can't even tell the truth about themselves. posted: Tue - May 30, 2006 at 12:02 AM j$p  send Jose Chung Truthout.org was simply ahead of the news cycle. They were EARLY. The Bushies are all lying! All the adults are lying! Asman bumbled... Asman neglected to mention... well i guess they read this blog cause now it reads: Last night (5/29) Fox News Correspondent Jim Angle substituted for Brit Hume on Special Report, but despite Hume's absence the "Two Minutes of Hate" (AKA "Grapevine") segment remained biased and one-sided. The ones that are really indefensible they just ignore. June 6, 2006, 12:41:50 AM EDT – Like – Reply |
