You're So Vain, You Probably Think This Article Is About You

It's hard to be humble when you're the Outfoxed gals, even when they have much to be humble about.

This latest bit of pomposity exemplifies the hubris and self-delusion of the newshounds (another fine product from the Outfoxed mob). When Bill O'Reilly did his interview with Jon Stewart of The Daily Show, the pups came up with a clever, creative idea: post a transcript! (One wonders where they got that idea from?) Of course the transcript has numerous errors and mistakes, but then, why spoil a tradition?

Now the pooches are foaming again began Mr Bill had the temerity to suggest that he was joking when he talked about Stewart's audience being "stoned slackers":
Whew! Guess we "News Hounds" dodged that bullet. You see, Bill, on this site we posted a complete transcript of the interview, using your very own words.

Well not exactly. These are newshounds quotes, after all. But why are the pups so proud of posting a transcript of the interview, as if it were some rare artifact worthy of an Indiana Jones expedition? Newspoodle Marie Therese continues:
Although I've seen excerpts of our posting on several other sights [sic], including Wonkette, our astute readers were able to make their decisions based on exactly what you said, uncut and unedited.

First of all, anyone who wanted an accurate transcript of the interview certainly wouldn't go to the dogs to get it. They could just head right on over to the Fox News site and read it there. What, you mean it's not just the "astute readers" of the newshound site (how many of those could there be?) who could get a transcript? It was right there on foxnews.com all along, even as the pups bragged about posting Mr Bill's "very own words"? 'Fraid so.

What's more, it appears Marie Therese made another wrong choice when she boasted that Wonkette printed "excerpts of our posting". All one has to do is compare Wonkette's article with the newspup version and the official Fox News transcript to see that even Wonkette has the smarts not to trust what the anti-Fox terriers publish--she went straight to the Fox News source.

The newspoodles are full of it, because they are full of themselves. They actually believe that anyone who quotes a transcript must be doing it from their sloppy, non-verbatim version, when there is a precise, official transcript sitting just a click away. Wonkette knows better, and so do we.

On September 21, 2004, I notified you that you had a glaring error in one of your so-called trasncripts. You have repetedly been advised of such error, yet continue to fail to correct the transcript.

Then when taken to task for it, you delete my posts. Shame on you...
