Boo Who?

The gals from Outfoxed want to express their moral outrage...at something that never happened! And we have the mp3 file to prove it!

It was a great story while it lasted:

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) President Bush on Friday wished Bill Clinton "best wishes for a swift and speedy recovery." "He's is in our thoughts and prayers," Bush said at a campaign rally. Bush's audience of thousands in West Allis, Wis., booed. Bush did nothing to stop them.

This AP report was quickly withdrawn, but that didn't stop a cadre of screaming meemies from whining about it in one of the comments sections at the site of the world-famous newshounds (another fine product from the Outfoxed cabal). When we pointed out that the story had been retracted, the reactions were predictable:
  • YOU ARE SUCH A LIAR AND BULLSH!TER [sic]... YOU ARE AN IDIOT AND MORON

So we made an mp3 file of that portion of the speech from a Fox News report and posted it [Drudge and many others linked to it]. The reactions were again predictable:
  • You, like Fox, are a liar. It happened, and you know it did. That is what scumsucking pukes are all about, and you know it, you spineless twit.
  • And gosh, we all know how HARD it is to filter a clip! Dude be serious!

So then, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel posted audio [disable popup blockers before clicking] of the entire rally, unedited. That would seem to settle the question, right? Wrong!

The newshounds post a new article (you couldn't make this stuff up!) titled "The Boos You Won't Hear on TV":
And he said, "The one who showed mercy toward him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do the same." (Luke 10: 25-37) Perhaps the Republicans in West Allis, Wisconsin need a refresher course in the basic tenets of the book so many of them profess to believe. And, by the way, CNN is SANITIZING the clip by cutting it off before the booing. If you don't like this, contact CNN.

Mind you, they post this brilliant piece of journalism at 7:58 PM, after we proved the story false on their own site. And many hours after AP withdrew the story and issued a corrected version. And long after the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel posted the audio of the entire rally, proving that the booing existed only in the imagination of some AP writer.

This is an example of the newspoodles' standards of journalism. And they have to nerve to criticize Fox? That dog won't hunt.
