Ends, Means, and a Shameful Lie

The Outfoxed gals have a new target. Tonight they lie about Greta van Susteren. And they're busted. Updated!

Over the last few days we have documented how the Terri Schiavo case has affected the newshounds (another fine product of the Outfoxed cabal). Every word spoken about the case on Fox News seems to drive the doggies into ever-greater convulsions of mania. And as we have seen, the more rabid the hounds get, the more outrageous their fictions and lies.

But the tail-waggers may have surpassed themselves this time--a falsehood so brazen (and easily disproved) that it suggests the anti-Fox terriers just don't care any more if anybody catches them in their lies. (After all, we were banned from commenting at their site, and even locked out of trackback links to their articles. Perhaps they think that this means they have immunity.)

Newspup deborah rails this day about On the Record with Greta van Susteren. Debbie tries desperately to find some way to spin Greta's coverage as something that it isn't:
Greta also interviewed the Pinellas County Sheriff who hired Michael as a nurse for the county jail. Obviously this was an effort to connect Judge Greer, the Sheriff and Michael Schiavo in some sort of conspiracy.

Utter nonsense from deceptive deborah. The former sheriff said he thought the judge made the right decision and that it should stand. Here's how Greta's tried to establish a "conspiracy":

VAN SUSTEREN: Have you ever met Michael Schiavo?
VAN SUSTEREN: He works at the county jail, or did as a nurse, but I know that there's something like, what, 3,000 employees.

So where did Greta attempt to show a "conspiracy"? She didn't. Deborah made it up.

But that's a small fabrication compared to the whopper that follows:
There was no mention of the continual threats made to Michael Schiavo and his family because of the hate brigades. Schiavo's sister in law was threatened in front of her home in Philadelphia on Monday. A man drove up and told her if Terry Schiavo dies, he would be back to kill her and her family. This man, unfortunatly [sic], is a perfect example of many of the Schindler supporters but nobody saw that on Fox today.

Really? Then how does debbie explain an entire segment devoted to the threats, including Greta's interview with Elizabeth Fisher of the Bucks County Courier-Times? How does deborah explain the report that followed talking about the increased security measures for Michael due to death threats? See for yourself:

Deborah's tactics? Just lie about the interview. Just deny that an entire segment of the program was ever broadcast, even though it was seen by millions of people. It's all for a good cause--the self-aggrandizement of dishonest "newshounds" and the smearing of Greta van Susteren and Fox News. The end justifies the means. Shameful.

Update: The saga continues. New lies on top the old ones, exposed with J$P Video.

Funny, but we did not hear from the News Hounds last Wednesday when Greta had a panel that consisted of Lawrence Tribe, David Boies, Susan Estrich and attorney Jeff Brown, liberals all. To maintain any semblance of balance Greta kept Hannity around for an extra half-hour after his show ended. In fact on her blog, Greta told a complaining e-mailer that she attempted to have Ken Starr on that panel but he declined.
And not a peep was heard from those News Hounds. To the pooches 4 Liberals and 1 conservative is probably considered "fair and balanced."

It's part of the "invisible man" technique for the hounds just to avoid mentioning liberals or Democrats who appear on Fox. Meanwhile, deborah is warning commenters on her article who bring up the facts we have exposed--don't post. Sounds like another threat to "ban" people. Keep the echo chamber pure!
