I don't care too much for Grodin's politics, but he seems to be a decent guy, with a great wit.

Charles Grodin?! What a downer.
Okay, he did a great job in "Lonely Guy" and was the only guy to receive a compliment for his performance in "Ishtar".
But, sheesh! Charles Grodin?!!!
I remember him pissing off Johnny Carson with his I'm-bringing-you-down-with-me ways.
I also remember a great SNL parody of his "talk show" (where he did all the talking). The audience got it and loved it.

Grodin is an under-rated comedic actor. If you ever get a chance, check him out in the original THE HEARTBREAK KID. Ben Stiller and the Farrelly brothers should be embarrassed for even considering remaking that movie.
Sean was right- Grodin was obsessed with OJ. His cable show seemed to lose steam after the verdict, but it was must see tv every night while the trial was going on.

Grodin was great in Midnight Run with DeNiro
Funny crap this...
"Sean Hamburger", c'mon Sean... Ya should have had some sort of snappy comeback... something about Grodin getting 2nd billing to a St. Bernard in those Beethoven movies... something...

Notice how Grodin calls Hannity a "baby" in an effort to shut him up. I tire of such tactics to devalue the person and not the argument

Oh and I forgot the very -creative- nazi reference. Wow he is something...not.

He seems like an interesting guy. Egotistical, haughty, and bomb-throwing, but interesting. I've never heard of him and may never hear of him again but good footage nonetheless.

There is little to be gained by critcizing Grodin's acting or his shortcomings as a comic. He is not, nor will he ever be a superstar. Instead, he performs niche roles very well. Grodin was a surprising choice as a guest on H&C. I can't imagine what the producers sought to gain. However, Grodin's criticism of the media is exactly on point, and, particularly relevant to H&C. It has truly devolved into trash television. I may not particularly enjoy Shep Smith's ak-ak delivery or Hume's sullen smugness, but they are solid shows. BOR with his soft porn offerings and H&C with its white girl gone missing focus simply pander to our baser tastes. The same can be said with Olbermann and his locker room jokes and Abrams and his "gotcha" thrust. Grodin was on point.

This buffoon was a total bore. Believe it or not this schmuck thought that he was funny. He was an insulting smarmy democrat boot licker.

I have never forgiven Grodin for once calling the late far-left columist Molly Ivins "beloved."

I'm as conservative as you can get, but I love Charles. He's so quick with comebacks. He's probably one of my fovorite comedic actors, and I do miss his show. He use to lose it every night, and on all issues. Naturally, as he's getting older, he's leaning towards the liberal side on the spectrum, but, back in the day, everybody was his victim. Sean's right, he would be great as a stand-in for Allen sometimes.

Can we do an O'Reilly body language segment on this interview? One word: cooties. Grodin looked like his skin was crawling to be on Fox sitting next to Hannity.
