When is Ingaraham or Powers or even both going to get their own show in Geraldos spot?

Don't think it's likely. Geraldo does pretty well in that time slot. I'd like to see something at 9:00 pm weekends. My idea is a weekend version of H&C: Bob Beckel & Cal Thomas.

Why not bright, attractive female hosts JD?

I'm all for it. And it could work. But a Malkin/Powers pilot that was tried out some time ago didn't make many waves. People have to be sharp, interesting, and skilled to host or co-host a tv program. H&C are both professional broadcasters with years of experience. While Laura has done well with her radio show and had a short-lived MSNBC hour, Powers doesn't have that background. I know Michelle Malkin guest-hosted for O'Reily but does anyone really think she did as good a job as O'Reilly, not speaking content-wise but as a tv host/anchor? I like Powers a lot and she has a lot of promise, but I'm not sure hosting a show is her forte.

Beckel co-hosted crossfire for years. And Cal Thomas has an impressive background with NBC News. They are both fluent and professional in front of a live camera. There's more to this stuff than just being bright. There's a certain skill level and professionalism; if you don't have it, viewers will get uncomfortable and turn away. IMHO.

Hmm. FNC called MS for Obama right at 8:00 o'clock. MS and CNN held back with "too close to call". That kind of discrepancy doesn't happen too often.

Laura has an audience of over 5 million people weekly, not one of the people you have mentioned gets close to her reach. I just find the Cal Thomas/Bob Beckel tandum to be a recycled, old media, men only mess.
You can't site me one study that says new faces can't pull ratings. If you could the election HQ tandem would never have been given a chance.

I have nothing against new faces, and I don't deny that Laura has the necessary background. Even so, she isn't exactly comfortable sub-hosting the Factor: she talks a bit too much, and is a touch too "hot" for tv. I suspect she'll improve as she gets used to it, and is smoother already than Malkin was.

I wouldn't mind seeing Laura against someone like Beckel, who has real political acumen and a good sense of humor. New faces are nice, but substance is important too, and I think Beckel has more interesting things to say than someone like Powers (whom I still like).

Too Hot for TV? Please spare me from the senior citizen men you want to prevail.

I said a "touch" too hot. I like Laura, but she is a bit too pushy and tends to hog the mic especially when guests disagree. Just my opinion. Your mileage may vary. Feel free to disagree, Etc.

I want folks to speak their minds all the time, yes she has strong opinions, but so do we and I am tired of those that hide what they really think. Thanks to you for putting up a site in which we can vent our feelings. Let's hope FoxNews continues to showcase those that have a strong POV!

I still think that a fair-and-balanced, politics-focussed version of The View would be awesome.

I humbly suggest Michelle Malkin, Kirsten Powers, Monica Crowley and Tanya Acker as the panellists.

And I also want pigs to fly.

Replace Michelle Malkin (just writing her name frustrates me) with Margaret Hoover and we're set. But I don't know what people would think of three blondes on one panel.
Along the lines of "The Big Story" indefinitely dropped, I canceled my subscription to "The John Gibson Radio Show" premium podcast. Hearing the same formula every day did me in:
-Obama/Hillary is topic for each hour
-Angry Rich scattered throughout ("[Insert response], John.")
-Clips played, John talks over them
-Callers call John a racist or otherwise
-John shouts at callers before cutting them off
(sarcasm): Yeah, none of that never gets old.
(normal): I only got the podcast to hear unedited KO bashing segments anyway.
