memo to Mort: Next time you get in a shootout with Ingraham you best be armed with more than a swiss army knife. Way to go LI!

Mort's conclusions were pretty much destroyed by Ingraham....I have nothing else to add.

Mort's use of the word "troglodyte" was dead on. I also like the word "homogeneous" when referring to the Republican party. "Religulous" is not bad either.

Mort and Fred are real "open borders" guys. For years, it seems, they refer to those of us who want the law enforced as xenophobes or just racists.

My response is just that we should hire a few illegals to replace the Beltway Boys. I'm sure they could do a better job than those two, and for probably less money!

(I still often watch and like those two, but they are totally wrong on the border situation. And Mort was totally off base yesterday re: his comments to Laura.)

J$, do you happen to have a recording of Duncan Hunter and his son, on F & F this a.m.? I just saw the end of it on my DVR and was not able to reverse to see the whole thing ( I was already back my entire hour).

Many of us Hunter fans still adore the guy, and I'd like to forward the video to some fellow conservatives. Thank you in advance.

When I saw "Beck in Bristol," I thought it meant he was in Bristol, CT or TN. But it was VA.

Mort's not a deep thinker, but he's a good guy and certainly not an extremist.

Laura was surprised about Mort's repeated mentioning of the almost forgotten Schiavo case, but it's particularly significant to him because his late wife suffered with Parkinson's Disease for many years.

Still, I've seen Mort respectfully regard the arguments against withholding food and water from severely brain damaged people and arguments about govt funding for all strains of embryonic stem cells (he-- even admitting that adult stem cells have shown the most progress).

Mort spouts the usual line and then mediates his remarks when challenged with sound arguments, as we just saw.

Mort couldn't get a word in edgewise.I used to really like LI, but dayum , she's like Morton Downey Jr without the chain smoking! All that hollering and hammering. Also, I remember when she would have her gay brother on her radio show all the time. Tell me there isn't some estrangement in that family these days. Mort should have known that a reasonable discussion wasn't possible. Ingraham is waaaaay out there on the right, and that is a lonely place these days.

It is time for Mort to move on.
He can barely get his thoughts out.
When he is on the panel with Brit Hume on Special Report, it is painful to watch. Brit gets so outdone and pulls the words out of Mort.
After years in the sun, these guys just won't move along.

Not only that, Dan, but as a "Factor" guest (when BOR is hosting), she is always quick to interrupt before BOR can finish his point. I hate that. But the majority of "Factor" viewers, especially BillOReilly.com premium members, and plenty of you here, love her. She'll be filling in Monday, too. But it's John Kasich on Tuesday. How does that make you feel?

But I agree with Mort (and I don't always), she does polarize. I bet he wouldn't say that about BOR. I rarely watch "The Factor" when somebody is filling in, and make less of an effort when Laura is the fill-in. And even less in the old Michelle Malkin days. Thank God she's been away from "The Factor" since September '07.

Laura is a conservative and is not going to move to the left because it's politically correct or because conservative thought is a "lonely place to be" these days. She is no Katheen Parker or David Brooks that's for sure.

If Johnny will indulge me on behalf of the upcoming holiday, I want to put a bug in the ear of my fellow has-been passe troglodytes.

The whiskey marinated steaks sold by Omaha Steaks-- BEST I've ever had! A friend sent me a cow's worth of them the other day and until now steak au poivre was my favorite steak dish.

You enlightened saintly happening-guy liberals might enjoy them too.

Consider me as chiming in that F&F weekend is a BIG dropoff from the week. I've tried to like them, too, a lot, and I just can't do it. Aly is ok, but those two guys are just too generic.

Well, Mike you watched last night otherwise you would not have know the polarise comment. You seem to have a problem with outspoken conservative women as you continue to bash Malkin and Ingraham. You watch Mike, you just don't like the fact that a lot of others watch as well.

What is it with this Mike C guy and his love for this Bill Oreilly guy, he make 90% of American Ill he is no more that just a common thug, As a Democrat I fell it is my duty to tell all of you that if yu think Fox is "Fair and Balanced" then I have some swamp land you all can buy. Case in point the three stooges on Fox and Friends all wearing red on election day. Comon give us a break

Glad to see Laura filling in on Monday, and even better, kasich on Tuesday!

BTW, whatever happened to his Saturday program? Seems like they dumped him for Geraldo. But now Huckabilly is in that time slot. What a waste.

Don't get me wrong; I'll defend Laura and Michelle if they get attacked by people on the [far-]left (i.e. Keith). It's just that they're not--well, she's not and she wasn't--BOR. That's all.

I wrote my last comment assuming that no other comments had been posted in between. David, I watched the Factor Original segment where a pre-recorded interview BOR conducted with Frank Gifford ran. I didn't need to watch the rest of the show to see what Mort said. It's in the embed video for this thread.
Dem From Illinois is undoubtedly Patrick.
Am I the only one here that's okay with "Huckabee" and Huck himself?

Mike, you're definately NOT the only one. I am a huge Huck fan. Maybe more would like him if he was more 'polarizing'.

Well I would like to respond to Mike C Comment, I am not this person you call Patrick, I just am a person who fell upon this site a few weeks ago, I have been reading the comments, and just don't understand how some of you can call Fox News "Fair and Balanced" I usually watch CNN and MSNBC( which of course is Democrat leaning).
But I cannot idly stand by while I read someone rip on Laura Ingraham and Michelle Malikin for doing the same things Bill O'Reilly does. and Mike C if you cannot see that then I do fell very sorry for you.

Also, the show Huckabee is a train wreck, I like Mike Huckabee, although I don't agree with many of his political views I find him engaging and funny. He just seems unconfortable in the talk show format.

Also as a Obama supporter , I feel that if McCain would have picked a Huckabee or a Romney the election would have been much closer or he might have even won the election.

Well, to each his own. We won't all like the same people, but I do think there's a bit of truth in Dem from Illinois' statement about women, Mike.

I don't think you're misogynist at all, but I think perhaps it does go down better when men are aggressive rather than when women act that way.

Mike, if you look at Laura's behavior on it's face, she is not being unreasonable. Her colleague has essentially accused her of being the reason Republicans lost the election. THAT on the silliest most easily refutable arguements AND while admitting too that the economic situation was what sunk McCain.

Laura demanded an explanation from Kondrache and then shot his arguments down rapid-fire.

I hate the whining crap that "feminists" pull and I'm even less fond of when conservatives demand political correctness from liberals "because they're liberals", but...damnit... Laura was behaving rationally and like any Democrat or Republican -- male or female... would have behaved ...and, btw... she can't help being brilliant as hell.

I admit now that I was unreasonable yesterday when I said what I did about Laura.
And Dem, some of your typos ("comon") and singling out of me were reminiscent of what the guy I mistook you for does. I'm sorry for the mistake. I'm also sorry that you feel BOR is, more or less, a polarizing ideologue. I have to ask, though, what do you think of Keith Olbermann?

Watch out for the likes of Kondracke and his use of the world "polarizing". It was used as a code word for demonizing conservative talk radio and blogs. Don't be surprised to see dem politicans stating the need for the return of the "fairness doctrine" in order to counter "polarizing talk radio programs". BTW, I still enjoy replaying Laura's beat down on Mort, he earned his trip to the woodshed!

Oh I agree that Keith Olbemann is in the same playing field as O'Reilly but O'Reilly can just go off or no apparent reason he demeans his guests, while Olbermann usually has guests on his program who agree with him. O'reilly just looks for a fight, and to me that is the difference between two.
