I knew a little about Ron Paul's past transgressions but this is quite remarkable.

Is there anyway to add a link to the Haloscan pages that link back to the original article?

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – In response to an article published by The New Republic, Ron Paul issued the following statement:
“The quotations in The New Republic article are not mine and do not represent what I believe or have ever believed. I have never uttered such words and denounce such small-minded thoughts....

are you serious?
do you know why so many oddballs flock to Paul?
it's because they're afraid of things like HR 1955/S1959 and the USA PATRIOT Act.
Paul wants to bring back freedom of speech and habeas corpus, what's so radical about that?
Paul is a magnet for those who will be cast off into the abyss because they disagree with the government in the next few years.
because they know Paul speaks for everyone, protecting everyone's right to be who they are/want to be.
so if you want to be a pawn. go be one.

It dawned on me the other day.
Ron Paul's movement is a fraud.
If Ron Paul really cared about his ideas then instead of alienating everyone who isn't a Paulistinian , he would actually try to work with others in Congress to get them put into law.
But he doesn't... it's all about him. And the same with his followers.. narcisists.

There's nothing radical about freedom of speech. I'm just surprised that non-Paulists are not allowing dissenters that freedom.
I particularly want to echo that comment on that TNR article that praises the author for actually "away from the modem" and digging through real-life archives to get this data.
