Ann Coulter has a great column this week on Cankles the clown, Mr. Czechoslovakia himself.
I probably need to visit OW, it may be covered there...Coulter mentions that Keithy has been showing a doctored version of the old GHWB "Willie Horton Ad". Keithy edited in a photo of Horton, the original ad never had a photo of that animal.

re: Murdoch
Yeah right!! I'll believe that when pigs can fly!! Would that even be allowed?
And if I'm wrong, so be it. (I might be wrong about Comcast and NBC-Universal)

If he's only interested in the cable channels, and not NBC broadcast, that might be OK. There is precedent. When a rival channel appeared to challenge CNN, Satellite News Channel, CNN came in, bought it up, and put it out of business.

If Jay Leno doesn't help GE bring in the revenue it was expecting, the company is going to be needing to generate some capital, so they will start selling assets. MSNBC is a drain on GE, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if GE dumped it.

So with Limbaugh having been on the radio three hours a day, five days a week, for years...THESE are the actual statements from Limbaugh that Maddow must use to prove that he's a racist.
Obviously, being a Rhodes Scholar is no inoculation against a sheer loss of perspective caused by political animus.

Re: "Murdoch eyeing MSNBC?": Please buy the NBCU cable channels. Please! Maybe that'll stop Keith Olbermann's attacks on all things News Corp. Furthermore, News Corp probably wouldn't allow Katy Tur to continue to have a job at The Weather Channel, or wherever she works now.
That's wishful thinking, but I know damn well that will not happen. Like Chris said, "when pigs can fly!!!"

Cecelia - perhaps if Rush had made the claim that Obama was the first articulate and clean mainstream African-American, the Maddows and Olbys might have a case.
Otherwise, they got nothing.

I've always felt that with that comment VP Biden was made a victim in what has become a vicious cultural mine field.
That said, yeah...if Rush had said it he'd have been crucified.

Not exactly an original thought, but you did capture the essence of truth with pin point accuracy.
It's sad, really. Having the dream of following in the foot steps of your idol who's rapidly falling level of significance is matched only by his Saturn rocket-like rise of irrelevancy.

Thanks for the Tucker clip. He is such an interesting character. On the positive side, he is loyal to whomever is employing him any given week. On the more cynical side: Does Tucker really believe in anything? I actually like Tucker, and I respect nuance. In today's strident, partisan, ideological vise, he is refreshing. Still, he did himself no favors with this screed.

Mike: With reference to you stated desire that Murdoch buy the NBCU family, why might I ask should FOX be immune to any criticism? In my own view, FOX warrants a great deal of criticism, along with some kudos, as do all the news and cable news networks. For every Anderson, there is a Lou, for every Matthews, there is an Olbermann, for every Shep, there is a Beck.

Pat nice to see you back. Perhaps we can now deal with the question I asked you a month ago but you never acknowledged, let alone answered. Here is your quote and what I asked you about:
"The Curic interview was just nuts. Beck was all over the place whilst being no place."
You may be right, but other than one preview snippet I haven't seen it yet since it doesn't go online until 7:00 pm tonight. Could you please tell us where you saw it so we can all watch it hours before everyone else?
I am still very interested in knowing how you could have viewed the interview before it was posted online, since I'm sure you wouldn't have characterized it without seeing it. So please, do let us know how you pulled that off.

I could have added to my comment but I was tired and that just came out.
