ATTN: JOHNNY DOLLAR:

I seldom go to Newshounds anymore, but I looked in this morning and this is what I found:

http://www.newshounds.us/2008/02/28/youtubes_shut_us_down_again.php

It looks like the ladies of Newshounds got themselves into some trouble with YouTube and now they have been banned.

Now they know how it feels because I was banned from even posting on their Open Forum and still am for that matter.

What goes around, comes around. LOL.

Incidentelly, I have been working a lot on my blog (listed below in the URL link) and I think you might be happy to know it has taken off like gangbusters and is pulling in around 300 "hits" every single day.

Despite the blackout by the news media of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, the interest in my blog proves there are a lot of people out there who care about what is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Take care, Johnny.

Youtube has suspended their account; they blame Fox for the shutdown, but I'm hearing that FNC was not involved. Anyhow, they just opened a new account under a different name; apparently youtube hasn't caught on yet. It keeps them going, but all their past videos will remain inaccessible unless the old account is restored.

In the comments on the NH link Bill provided above, all the mutts are whimpering about how Youtube must be controlled by Fox.

"...a concerted effort by FOX and their defenders to silence criticism?"

"Murdoch didn't buy YouTube did he?"

"Clearly Fox has a problem with youtube, it must be that whole free speech thing."

Isn't this the same Youtube that banned Michelle Malkin and many other unoffensive conservative videos?

I made this comment over there:

"I'm not sure how rebroadcasting Fox News clips is "fair use" since you disable comments on their site and no one can see any of your comments because of the collapsed section that has the poster's description and no easy way to get here from there.

So from the POV of a You Tube user , all you're doing is exclusiviely hosting the content that is copyrighted by other parties.

How is that fair use?"

Lets see how long it lasts.

As a big BOR fan, I have to apologize on his behalf for them accidentally using the fake picture of Hilary Duff and misspelling her first name. (sarcasm): Oh, that evil Fox News and that equally evil Bill O'Reilly. How dare they. And we love Keith Olbermann. MSNBC rules! (serious again): Remember, that was sarcasm I just used.

And again, at the point in the above comment where I chastized FNC and BOR while praising KO and MSNBC, I was using sarcasm and was not being serious.

Vince P, although I agree with you that the NH videos are propaganda and cherry pickings intended to make Fox News appear do be doing just that, I disagree that YouTube should censor them.

If the NHs can't post YouTube clips of FNC, neither can johnny unless johnny has official permission from FNC and YouTube knows it. I don't think copyright applies here. Censoring Michelle Malkin was bad, censoring NHs was bad. Neither one posted offensive (as in sexual, violent, or adult language) material despite the fact that some people disagreed with both politically.

YouTube is known to be overly copyright sensitive.

Mike, we know you aren't a Kos kid! I think Vince was simply mistaken about your affiliiation. It's happened before at this site (someone here knows what I mean).

Excellent, Fox Fan. I'm not HuffPo guy, a DU guy, or a whatever-other-far-left-site guy either.
By the way, I just wrote to "The Factor" to let BOR know of the Hilary Duff mistake. I said I hoped they could correct the record as soon as possible, that I was a big fan and loyal premium member, and didn't want to see him dragged around by those that hate him.

FF: I wasn't advocating or supporting YT's action but trying to look it from their POV to see why the videos might have been deleted.

I had the attack coming anyway. I took a shot at Bill Cunningham and said there wasn't any malice in Jon Stewart using Obama's full name at the Oscars last week. I don't want to censor any conservative talk radio hosts. I'm on their side when it comes to attacks by the left, in particular the far-left. I just find certain hosts irritating. B.C. falls into that category.
I'm subscribed to podcasts of John Gibson's show. He's good, and at his best when ripping the media and KO, but lately, he's spending whole shows on Obama. The redundancy is wearing on me and I'm tempted to unsubscribe, but I won't yet.
Otherwise, all I like is "The Radio Factor" and "The Dennis Miller Show" (via podcasts). BOR is structured and Dennis is friendly and laid back. Those are my kind of shows. No choir-preaching or doctrinaire for me.
How many times has Rachel Marsden been back now?
NBC has bad judgment in the news department, especially at MSNBC, but we all knew that.   However, I don't think their sports (except for putting Olby in NFL coverage) or all of their entertainment fall into the same category. I could be wrong since the only NBC shows I watch are golf, hockey, and "Amnesia."
Okay, I've said enough for now.

Johnny moved that comment from the "Fox News Watch"/Cunningham thread. So, if you disregard the first two paragraphs, we're on topic.
