From the Zurawik story (propaganda trumps news) -- "who interviewed the president and his wife, Michelle,".

It looks like Zurawik is another who thinks Obama has already been inaugurated.

For Dem from Illinois:

Why should Obama speak to a network that was so negative against him during the primaries and the presidential campaign, it is not cowardice , he is basically giving Fox News the "up yours".

Perhaps you are right, maybe Obama is choosing to lead like a ten year old boy. Not a coward, just immature.

For Zurawik, who made some good points in that column, I'll repeat what I told Missy in yesterday's thread (revised for today):
FNC broke in to Greta for about 10 minutes with more of the live feed from New Delhi TV. I guess they eventually went back to her.

I don't know if J$ linked to this article about Chris Matthews, from Chickaboomer, CM is quoted as saying:

"I’ve never told anyone that I’m running... Right now, I have a professional responsibility to cover this campaign and politics generally with objectivity. I can’t be involved in anything like that. It has to be off the table.”

Does this guy really believe he treats politics with objectivity? He's obviously caught the same brain dysfunction from Keith (The Liar) "Chezchoslovakia" Olbermann.

If I recall correctly it was Casey Stegall, from the West Coast Bureau.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at J$P! Especially DFI, who should be thankful that a "5 year old" has kept him and his family safe since 9/11.

May you all be as full and happy as I am today.

I had a feeling it was Casey Stegall, but wasn't sure and forgot exactly what he looked like. Thanks for clarifying, Johnny.
I just finished reading/listening to BOR's "A Bold, Fresh Piece of Humanity," after doing so on and off for two months. Next up, Steve Doocy's "Tales from the Dad Side."

DFI, instead of a wisecrack, why don't you tell us what you didn't like about those two books?

Well I have read neither, but If I had too choose I would probably read Doocy's , although I do not agree with his total political bias, He seems to at least have a sense of humor, he would have to have a sense of humor spending the morning with Carlson and Kilmeade.
There would be no chance in hades I would read a book by O'Reilly who is so into creating bogus culture wars and his so full of himself.
Also I was just joshing with Mike C, If am being a smartass then I do apologize and I will keep my posts on the topic of cable news...Sorry

Well yes, let's keep things related to cable news. As for the books, it's always helpful to know if the reviewer of a book ever read it. Kind of makes it easier to assess the reliability of the opinion. (Now I'm being a smartass...sorry!)

I was so bored just now that I spent several minutes reading the comments to that "Old O'Reilly slur recycled again" link at Politico. I feel sorry for them all, except for a few isolated level-headed comments. The rest was nothing but ideological vitriol, mostly from the far-left.
On a lighter note, I'm already up to page 32 of "Tales from the Dad Side." My reading included the Foreword chapter and its roman numeral-numbered pages.

I hate to say this, but Denise Flaim of Newsday has--whether she wanted to or not--given Krazy Keith a new image to use in naming his Olbsession Worse, Worser, or Worst, and for non-WPitW segments.
David Zurawik is once again right on the money in his latest article. And just like with Michael Calderone's Politico piece, the comments are primarily from rabid far-left ideologues. The first commenter accuses him of being a "right wing flying monkey"; the usual stuff.

Getting past that picture, which was actually from the AP, Flaim's Q&A was pretty good. The comments afterward were like they are anywhere. I probably shouldn't comment on those comments anymore. They're commonplace.

Mike what is wrong with being from the far left? Are we not allowed to make an opinion, we are no different that people from the far right who make comments at Newshounds and other political web sites, why look down on us?

Far leftists are looked down upon because they very often make stupid comments. You appear to be confusing statements about the caliber of particular responses from particular people, with some (nonexistent) "right" to post a response on someone's site.

It's no use telling me that people on the right make dumb comments too-- no kidding...

However, it takes a particular brand of rabid zealotry (as we see from the post that Mike referenced) to launch into a screed about war for oil...you're a right-wing monkey....sit down and shut up...etc...etc... over a writer who is essentially arguing that MSNBC has become as bad as FNC and that CNN is now the only reliable news channel.
(Now there's a rabid-right argument straight from the pit of Karl Rove and Donald Rumsfeld.... sheesh!)

For THAT sort of--- brook no criticism-- 'no friends to my right, even when they're as near as my right hand'....paranoia, it takes a far leftist.

You know what Mike, this Patrick guy you have called me on three occasions must have really gotten to you, I am not Patrick.
Is Patrick a liberal like me? Did Patrick question you about Bill O'Reilly?.
You need to realize as does Cece that Conservatives like you, (and don't give me that garbage that you are toward the middle right or whatever) who think that if someone questions your views we are all Crazy extreme liberals.

He did get to me, Phil, as did a guy named MikeH at Olbermann Watch. They give liberals a bad name.
Yes, Patrick did question me about BOR. He implied I have an unhealthy sexual obsession with him. He called me numerous homophobic slurs. He insulted my musical interests. He left comment after comment on my blog doing all that I listed in the previous sentences, and more. He did this all under various graphic monikers, phony e-mail addresses, and varying IP addresses. See why I'm on edge?
MikeH claimed I was a hothead mental case merely because I told him I have Asperger Syndrome, which is an Autism Spectrum Disorder. He also used that "look in the mirror" nonsense on me.
At this point, I don't know what else to tell you. But I do know that I have drifted far, far off cable news. So, to get back on topic, I'll say this: tonight's "Factor" was a rerun from last Monday, my birthday, November 17.

Ok, I totally get it. I have a4 year old son with Autism and speech apraxia, so calling a person a hot head for having Autism is totally f' ing stupid, he is just an uneducated asshole.

As for Patrick, he sounded a little extreme, well alot extreme.

And to get back on cable news, I did watch some of the factor tonight. O'Reilly while still a huge egomaniac is not all that bad when he is not yelling at his guests. All is good Mike even if we don't agree on almost anything related to Fox News,.....except that I am sure you agree that Cournry Friel and Julie Bandaras are smoking hot.

Phil, I agree that Courtney and Julie are smoking hot. Unfortunately for us, Courtney's husband and Julie's fiance also agree.
I'm glad all is good between us. Feel free to e-mail me anytime. My e-mail address is on the About page on my blog. (Hopefully, saying that won't invite Patrick-types to e-mail me.) I look forward to hearing from you because I'd like to continue the Autism conversation, which would probably be off topic if we kept it up here.

No, our friend included me in his little lecture that we not jump to conclusions about the politics of people who disagree with us.

And THAT while being utterly obtuse to the irony of his having first insisted that you are obscuring your true political stance, you "ultra conservative"...you..
