Don't those sites know F&F schtick when they see it? Even NewsBusters was fooled. That's shocking. At least they corrected themselves.

By the way, Brian and I have a few things in common: we're both C.W. Post alumni; we both worked at the campus radio station, WCWP; and we both live on Long Island (two hamlets apart in Wantagh and Massapequa respectfully). Outside of that, we don't know each other. I wish we he did so he could get me a job at FNC, FBN, or Fox News Radio.

If I wanted to link every site that has been fooled by this I'd need a whole separate blog just to list 'em! They take whatever they get from Huffington and the like and repeat it as if it were gospel. (I must single out Rachel Sklar, who is too sharp for HuffPo, for noticing the play acting that was going on, but she was the only one there to do so that I saw.)
Of course Olbermann probably never even watched the video, let alone read past the headline. And once he says something happened, it becomes gospel in the blue blogs.

Catherine Crier should now be an expert on vacuous and incendiary comments as she is Ted Turners new main squeeze. Probably hears it every day.

She is? I wasn't aware. That's a position that never seems to bode well.

I knew that Brian had not walked out because of the Obama bashing. So when I saw that other blogs that he had walked out because he was upset over the Obama bashing ; I said no way. He always tows the lane and then he flairs his nostrils. The three of them showed all the body language of people who are called out . This was priceless. I remember one time Doocy was talking to people on the sidewalk and he asked a kid I will give you some money if you can name any person at MSNBC and with out hesitation the kid gave the answer. He said that Abrams guy. Too many games played at Fox and many times they are made to look like fools.

F&F was a hoot to watch yesterdayand was a lot of fun. That show is like no other. It is a free flowing show that you never know where it is going to go, that is why I never miss one, if I hve to I even TIVO it so I can see what I missed. If someone thinks that someone is pulling the strings on that show they are living on another planet

Kirk: These "Progressive" types are wound so tightly they can't indulge in a little humor.
In a way they're like Muslims. Khomeini once said there is no laughing in Islam. Islam is a serious matter. That's how these deranged leftists are... their entire life is lived in service to the cause.

David Mills had me until he said BOR is ignorant about black history. He said the same about Chris Matthews and Anderson Cooper, but I'm sure his key target was BOR.

It's really kind of a gotcha! type argument, where somebody doesn't challenge something that is technically incorrect but in a very specific way that most people, be they journalists or not, wouldn't know off the top of their head. Still it was an interesting historical point and I'm sure it will come to mind the next time that "injected with syphyllis" claim comes up again.

How infuriating!!! Check out "Cable news ch-changes" as linked to by J$.
The author, David Zurawik, is talking about recent changes made to cable TV news. Here’s his first slam against conservatives:
“Nowhere is this UPGRADE (emphasis mine) more apparent than at MSNBC where Tucker Carlson, the bow-tied conservative pundit, has been replaced by NBC's senior White House correspondent David Gregory during the highly competitive timeslot of 6 p.m. weeknights. At 37, Gregory is already one of the most respected reporters in the Washington press corps.”
Maybe “Stretch” (as our President calls him) is well respected by his peers in D.C., but the majority of cable viewers would probably have been just as happy with Tucker, who was MSNBC’s last vestige of conservatism. I, like the rest of the world, just see this as MSNBC ridding itself of its last conservative, and cannot for the life of me see how this can be considered an “upgrade”! Tucker was intelligent, well versed in history, witty and polite to his guests, so other than Gregory being part of the D.C. press corps, what does he “bring to the table”?
I can hardly wait to see what Gregory’s ratings will be, when compared with those of Tucker.
Next, a slam against John Gibson: "Fox executives, meanwhile, have replaced one of the most reckless performers in TV news, John Gibson, with former CNN reporter-anchorman Bill Hemmer...".
So Gibson is one of the "most reckless performers in TV news"? Why no examples of John's transgressions?
And in the next paragraph, Zurawik goes on to praise the fact that Campbell Brown now occupies CNN's 8 p.m.
“At CNN, Campbell Brown, a former NBC White House correspondent who won an Emmy for her coverage of Hurricane Katrina, took over on March 10 as anchor of CNN Election Center, which airs weeknights at 8 in the heart of prime time…”
Could he be any more fawning of Campbell Brown, mentioning her emmy for Katrina coverage? Why not mention something more current, such as the fact that in her VERY FIRST performance on CNN, she got herself in a ton of trouble by TRULY recklessly reporting and slandering the group "Citizens United" and its founder, David Bossie, stating that this group was "fringe militia". Just her words; no real substantiation that that's what the group is about.
I just find it ironic that this Zurawik creature slams Tucker (somewhat indirectly) by categorizing his replacement as an “upgrade”; he attacks Gibson without substantiation, and he lauds Campbell Brown by mentioning something that happened THREE YEARS AGO, omitting something just as material (but detrimental) which happened on her NETWORK DEBUT, only a few months back.
Are we really supposed to take these TV critics seriously? As Matthews would say, "HA!”.

Isn't Campbell Brown married to Dan Senor?
Thanks to Missy's analysis, I won't waste my time reading that link. I'll bet Zurawik praised CNN at 8PM because it's up against "The Factor" and he probably hates BOR.
Ken Berwitz, Hopelessly Partisan: "The female host (whose name I do not know) ..." Is Gretchen Carlson *that* forgettable?   Just kidding.
That "battle of the blondes" story got its facts wrong. Some of the FNC blondes listed are either brunettes or redheads.
Bravo to Carolyn Lewis regarding Keith.

Oh, and Peter Smith at HuffPo may have said "cable television news," but I'm sure he only meant FNC. What a surprise.

Missy: Of course, Gibson had the gall to make some jokes about a just-diseased actor (Heath Ledger) who played a gay character in a movie (Brokeback Mountain) a definite no-no with liberal TV critics.
In fact, our old friend at ICN, who now attempts to run a neutral TV blog, has never quite gotten over John Gibson’s comments? Or maybe he really never got over Heath Ledger’s character!

Actually Gibson made no such comments on tv. It was radio. So that can't be an example of what the writer was talking about. And of course he KNOWS what's he's talking about. Right?
