That came up last week and I still don't know the answer.
I checked the foxnews bios page and clicked on 'Cashin' In'. Up came the name of Dagen McDowell!

I mentioned last week that her picture is no longer an the cost of freedom page. That makes me think she is gone.

I hope she's not gone. I really liked her on that show.

It's good to see the I-Man and his crew back on tv.
I've suppose I'll be playing "are they or aren't they" with Joe and Mika very infrequently now.

I must have missed the updates on the Beck Boycott, the Shep Smith Countdown Clock and the coming to pass of a NH commentator's prediction, "by the summer fox news will be some backwater cable channel without any access to the White House except for some guy with a microphoe yelling questions from a bush at Lafayette Park."-Yeah So What | 01.19.09 - 8:19 pm |

I'm really starting to get tired of the WH whining about fox news. They are the biggest bunch of crybabies I've ever seen!!!
I do wonder how much Bush whined about MSNBC/countdown. Can anyone answer that for me, cause I really don't know

from out "friend" patrick:
Little Chris you do realize you are posting at a website that wines about Olbermann and MSNBC don't you?
yes I do. and by your logic, newshounds whines about fox news 24/7 for the past what 5 years now? and you once posted their? and that makes them the biggest bunch of crybabies I've ever seen. second only to the white house.
I'm sure patrick lied in that quote but, I'm sure someone else can address that.
back to NFL football........dallas is losing to KC right now

This is great! So The WH wants the other channels to start fact checking FNC.
Okay, so that would mean that the other channels would have to start talking about stories FNC does that they spike.
I would say that this will be a ratings boost for FNC, but. Looking at the ratings of CNN & the rest. They don't have really any audience left to lose.

Johnny dollar in is own words:
"I don't defend everything that anyone does. In fact my focus is not to defend Fox. My purpose is to point out distortions and lies by the people who attack Fox. That may sound like the same thing, but it's not"
I understand that, to bad other people don't and I'm not going to waste my time explaining that.

I've been reading this site for a few weeks now and it strikes me that your commenters are the same small group - over and over . At first I thought I had somehow gotten into a private chatroom for people who are obsessed with Fox News first and the Newshounds site second. Having spent a bit of time here I have come to the conclusion that although it's not a private chat it might as well be. What a juvenile waste of valuable bandwidth. the only opinions this Dollar guy seems to offer are about Newshounds and the rest is just links, links, links. BOOOOORRRRIIINNNNGGG.

I can remember one instance where the GWB White House made a formal complaint to probably NBC or maybe MSNBC. Perhaps Johnny or others will remember better than I.
There was a long interview with GWB about some aspect of the war, perhaps the Surge, in I raq and the final released product juxtaposed, by some fancy editing, two statements that had GWB saying the total opposite in their broadcast.
The White House made a big deal of it and the news outlet wound up putting a link to the entire interview out there while protesting their innocence.
That is the only time that I can remember the GWB White House doing what the BHO White House appears to have actually created a position for, to call out FNC.

Re: Lowdown Leaks
Although Spud is more to quick to dramatize and whine over some imagined infraction of the rules than three nine-year-olds playing Sorry, you can't help but know that the guy feels things deeply...
Just like the time when he got all disapproving of Bob Cox for not sticking to his word by bringing Olbermann Watch back...you just know that Spud is a man who tends to the p's and q's of others and assiduously mounds those molehills high.
As someone else might say...we wish him well...

Luv the logic, Part uno
Gergen says that the WH, by attacking FNC, is driving viewers to the channel, which has resulted in a false spike in their numbers, and by chastising the elite media for not "diligently" fact checking FOX News, which, according to Mediate, is forcing Fox's competitors, in this case CNN, to cover FNC and in the process, "sort of partly credited FNC’s dominating ratings on the White House."
Mediate thinks "Gergen makes some sense, but given the recent and rather stunning decline in CNN’s own viewership, one could easily see this as sour grapes."
So, in a convoluted conclusion, FOX has higher and higher and higher ratings because the WH is attacking them, CNN's ratings are crashing, faster than Van Jone's government career on Ambien CR, because the WH is forcing CNN to cover their primary competitor, the ratings champion FNC, and their opinion journalism which somehow weakens the "traditional journalism" of CNN and keeps them "... one step behind the opinion media. Which is probably the best explanation of why CNN is getting lapped by FNC."
Got it?
The simple reason for all of the above: It's Bush's fault.

Why would anyone want to address something as nonsensical as Patrick equating a Commander in Chief and his surrogates going after media outlets that scrutinize him, with unelected everyday joes criticizing media outlets?
