The response by the press to Ed Rendell's complaint about MSNBC being in the tank for Obama was interesting. To wit, MSNBC is more than Matthews and Olbermann.
Okay, so that's an acknowledgement that the co-anchors on the news desk for election coverage are in the tank but everyone else is fair and objective? Which is debatable; but let's let it go.
Re-stating it: Olbermann and Matthews violate the tenets of journalism - objectiivty, fairness, balance - but everyone else at the network is professional.
I believe that's called a admission against interest.

Love the Fox ad about having a more balanced audience than CNN.
Can't wait to see the Fox Haters go ballistic on this one!

The Lou Dobbs roundtable is as good an analysis of media bias in the presidential campaign I've seen.
The comments that will get most of CNN's viewers heads nodding in agreement are:
"And people know it and they're not stupid. Average guy says wait a second, I want news and he isn't getting it."
"...what we're seeing with the Obama - I think it will eventually ricochet on Obama. I think that people are getting very distressed and irritated about it. "

I am stunned by Dan Abrams' performance on MSNBC this morning.
He seemed downcast, not enthusiastic,
He was so lively and funny on Verdict.
This is a Dan Abrams I have not seen.
Fox is doing a spectacular job. Their headquarters at the convention are outtanding.
The whole thing is like Christmas for me.
I am glued to the coverage.

Brokaw at the conference:
"I think Keith has gone too far. I think Chris has gone too far," the veteran NBC newsman said at a forum sponsored by Harvard's Shorenstein press center. But Brokaw said that they are "commentators" and "not the only voices" on MSNBC and that viewers could sort it out.
The tired old "commentators" excuse.
Both of these individuals co-anchor the news desk for the network's election coverage.
And Olbermann, to my knowledge, has never admitted to being a "commentator."

I'm watching "Your World" and I noticed before that a Spyro Gyra song was playing in the background at the Pepsi Center. It was "Extrovertical," a song from their "Original Cinema" album. I think whoever is in charge of the public address system is playing that album. Now, I hear another song on there, "Big Dance Number."
Yes, these are the small things that I notice. That's what happens when you have Asperger Syndrome and you're into jazz.

On Friday night, when Obama was going to text announce his VP pick and all the Cable News outlets were going live, including FoxNews in prime time.
If ever there was a time when The Factor was going to come in second or third because of this earth shattering announcement. Surely MSNBC and CNN would prevail.
NOT, Guest host Laura Ingraham prevailed as The Factor was #1 in Demo and Total Audience.
Maybe this week during the Dem Denver get together, but it will not happen vs. regular programing.

David - you are right.
When America wanted news about the election on Friday, it turned to Fox News more than to any cable news outlet. The facts prove that, even though the facts contradict the theories and beliefs of the fox-haters.
Fox DOMINATED the ratings in prime time on Friday. I bet even Haggy and the other FH'rs were watching, because even they know where to go to get the best news experience.

I keep telling people to take these complaints to email, but you really want to air this publicly don't you? After having been caught repeatedly smearing Fox people with false claims, today you tried to pull the same trick. And what's more, you lifted it from the same lying source as you did before.
You're on thin ice here, and your smear posts aren't going to go through. Discussion yes, smears and diversions no.

haggy, nobody likes a cry baby. A good portion of my posts don't make the cut and I've never smeared or lied. Consider yourself fortunate that Johnny is fair to all unlike your beloved newsliars where anyone who diagrees is deleted. Carry on.

Hume was honest and gracious, Juan Williams was almost in tears. Fucking brilliant to see this on Fox!

You mean the same Juan Williams that EVERY SINGLE poster here has called the "house negro?" That Juan Williams? Brit Hume who is supposedly a right wing shill...in the tank for McCain, Bush, Rove, etc. That Hume? Honest? Gracious? What a sudden turn of events.
I'm surprised your post was not deleted. I did, however, notice no one responded or commented to your post, hooda. Kudos to you, hooda!

How odd that you turned it into the same lie that your favorite website did.
I wouldn't have posted this at all, seeing as it's a dead issue, except that for some reason, you posted as HappySmoker. When in fact it was Haggis Farmer whose post I blocked. Only now you respond as Happy Smoker, who of course as HappySmokerUK is a regular over at the hound smear site.
I only go through all this because Haggis repeatedly insisted that he had nothing whatsoever to do with the hounds, and even denied posting a comment there under his name. Now we learn that Haggis and HSUK are one and the same? HSUK is one of the most active members in the kennel of course. Now (s)he'll have to tell Ellen to get a new sock puppet, as he's been burned.
It's not nice to lie to the webmaster.

I'll never understand why these people can't just post under one name consistently and just be honest brokers of their feelings and ideas, rather than trying to "finesse" a site and the people who don't hold their opinions.
Grow the hell up!
