Beck, the research guy and The Judge were superb. Barney Frank gets the "best supporting actor" award.

Glenn Beck's presentation is very reasonable, well documented and on target.....The problem with this entire bailout endeavor is that those who wanted to socially engineer through private corporations (the left), are as much at fault for this mess as the very executives they are calling out for the bonuses.

For those conservatives more concerned about their fellow travelers (David Frum) I have a simple question.....Why? Do conservatives like David Frum disagree more with people like Barrack Obama, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid or Chuck Shumer....or do they have more differences in ideology and strategy (and is constantly crying about those difference more important than stopping bad policy) with people like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly?

Is the motivation for the expressed discomfort an "image" worry.....Oh, that's right....polling on such important items like "likeability," "approval," etc. has been the bedrock on which great things have been done in our past.

Priorities.....This is what those who care about where our nation is headed need to think about. Energy spent on silly cabler or radio personality differences will not count in the future....it is the policies that are allowed to be implemented that will shape the future. Glenn Beck is right to PRIORITIZE and ignore the petty battles....David Frum should follow suit.

That Beck video hit the nail on the head.

Our govt is also complicit in trying to detour the facts so they can avoid their responsibility in this entire mess.

Cee,

If by "likability" and "approval", you mean appropriate decorum, yes, I think it's important that conservatives conduct themselves with that.

It may not be fair that so many in the media stereotype the Right being comprised of angry paranoiacs (goodness knows you can see otherwise on the internet), but pragmatism dictates that conservatives in the public eye should factor in this intentional stereotyping and act accordingly.

It is possible to convey pertinent information in a manner not reminiscent of a P.T. Barnum sideshow.

I don't think Beck is a sideshow, but he may get there. It's certainly not tantamount to aligning yourself with or selling out to the liberal establishment to suggest that talk of FEMA concentration camps is the territory of crackpots.

I realize that Beck's Howard Beale act may garner ratings, but if conveying information is the "priority" he could do that much more coherently via onscreen graphs and such.

I ADORE the Judge, but a mediating voice from another perspective would lend credibility too.

Regarding "rage," I saw such differences even among the networks on who was responsible, who was showing their flat-footedness, etc....NBC NEWS seemed to insulate the Obama administration with MSNBC blaming Bush and business-friendly republicans. FNC, with Beck in the lead, reminded us all of the liberal Democrat's duplicity.

Anyway one slices it, this is all "CYA" time and the MSM is really not doing a good job in holding all accountable, including the Obama administration. Also, how about covering the equally valid view that the bailouts themselves were a mistake and that perhaps actually liquidating these companies is still an option that would satisfy the public's search for justice?

The MSM really is showing it's ineptitude, IMHO.

I'm wondering when Greta Van Susteren is going to come clean about her husbands(John Coale) relationship with Sarah Palin. It appears her husband is one of the protectors of the Palin brand. Now I totally understand why Van Susteren won't hear a word said against Palin. She's simply using her TV show to help he husband protect the Palin brand. I think her views are entitled to an explanation about this obvious conflict of interests.

How come the conflict of interest didn't arise when her husband was raising money for John Kerry? Or when he was raising money and working for Hillary Clinton? Why is it only a conflict of interest now, when her husband is assisting Sarah Palin? How were Greta's interviews of Palin any different in style or tone to her interviews of Barack Obama, Clinton etc?

I'm also curious if you subscribe to the rather quaint notion that women don't think or act independently, but do what their husbands want? Using your theory, Mary Matalin must be a partisan Democrat, and Campbell Brown should be fired.

If I wanted to pick on reporters' wives, or husbands, there are enough of 'em out there that I wouldn't have to wait for a hypothetical (and highly unlikely) Olbermann wife to do so.

I know it can be hard to focus, but this is the third time I've asked this and you haven't answered it:

Why, with all the people Greta's husband has worked for, supported, and raised money for, do you claim that his assisting a non-candidate (Palin) is--for the first time ever--something that Greta should announce on her show?

she should divulge anything that could be perceived to be a conflict of interest.
The money raising is well know and has to be made public anyway. But this seemed to be some form of secret and only came to light after some excellent digging around and then reporting by the WP. She could have told the public about this the other night, she was on the O'reilly factor, when Bill sort of made out there was more to their friendship.

Well let's be accurate. She criticized Letterman for making jokes about Sarah Palin's daughter. Quite a different thing from making jokes about Sarah, so I'm confused as to why you didn't make that clear.

Do you think children of politicians are acceptable targets? Are you trying to tell me that jokes about Chelsea were perfectly welcome and A-OK with you? How about making fun of Obama's kids? You OK with that?

"I don't see her going after Letterman for telling a joke about anyone else. Do you?"

Well, has Letterman made fun of other politician's children? If he ridiculed Obama's kids would you object to Greta criticizing him for it? Or do you only object if Greta criticizes him for making jokes about Palin's kids?

For immediate release:

Earlier tonight, Greta Van Susteren , host of "On the Record" on FOX News Channel, revealed she has been engaged in an illicit sexual affair with Levi Johnston, the former fiance of Bristol Palin and the father of her baby.

Van Susteren said, between tears, that the affair began six months ago during the presidential campaign. "It was crazy. It just happened. I was staying at the Hyatt in Des Moines, which happened to be the same hotel the Palin campaign folks were staying. I left the bar about 1 o'clock in the morning and walked by the video game room. There was Levi, you know, standing there playing FoKuZ ze NiNjA, wearing jeans and a Rock Band Totem Slim-Fit T-Shirt. I got woozy and my knees buckled. Levi heard me gasp and he sprang like a panther, catching me as I was falling.

Well, something spiritual happened, a connection, an immediate bonding, whatever.

We tried to break it off several times the last six months, but it just wasn't going to happen. Bristol is furious, Sarah prayed for us and John, my husband has decided a temporary seperation is best for now. So, he's moving to Alaska and live in Levi's old home while Levi and I will be sharing my New Your apartment.

God knows, I'm surprised as much as anyone. He's so sweet. He has a cute pet name for me....don't laugh...he calls me Nibbles.

No, Haggis, an emergency alert is sent out by NORAD.

After a couple of fighter jet are scrambled in case they have to defend the country from Nibbles, Stan, and your massive intellectual threat, we are then alerted by military police who show up at our doors.
