Wow! The Huff-Po "media consultant/former CNBC correspondent" disses his entire industry in order to devalue a compliment Don Imus made toward Roger Ailes!

How can Huckabee's statements be seen as anything other than an invitation for him to come be killed by angry Arkansas gun-owners?? omg. This potential Repub presidential candidate is also encouraging gun owners to either threaten, harm or kill him. JUST IMAGINE what Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Malkin and Coulter would be saying had a Democrat said anything remotely similar. They would be saying that such statements should disqualify that Democrat from being able to run for President or any public office in the United States.

Paranoia runs deep on the left.
Has any one else noticed that most of the talk about asassinating the president comes from the left?
SOmeone carries a gun(legally) to a Town Hall and the left goes all ballistic and cries "murderer" or "killer".
And so it goes.

Looks like the Heinous Hateful Hens of Houndland have recruited some of the less educated to do their screeching for them. They seem to feel that Fox Broadcasting is under some sort of obligation to promote Obama's speeches.
What a pathetic network. Absolutely, unequivocally, blatantly unpatriotic when it comes to politics. Disgusting in every sense.

The more whining the hounds do about any Fox on air personality, the more impact that psersonality is making in cable news & with the viewing audience. The worst possible situation for a FoxNews political commentator is to have the looney opposition ignore your remarks. Consider the snide remarks as a badges of courage.

Interesting how the former CNBC correspondent does not include NBC NEWS in his industry conclusions. I suppose it is sour grapes that even in such a poorly run industry, his favorite product barely keeps 2nd place after competing so hard and promising their "quality pros" (like Olbermann), would eventually surpass the poor and evil FNC.
We will see what happens with more objective standards, like RATINGS.
IMO, Imus' show has improved. He, unlike the author's crude implication at the end of the piece, has been forgiven by the Rutgers team and has learned from the experience...and it shows in his program and the guests he has....still a list of brilliant and respected group with all ideological stripes.
On another subject, good decision by FOX for not giving up even more advertising dollars for an unnecessary, and likely poorly seen, political commercial. The rest of the media blindly say, "yes master!"
I plan on taking my evening constitutional a little late.

RE: Imus/Capitulation article
Call me a stickler... but I stopped reading the article at the second sentence:
"It's allot like 'superstar' or 'legend' or any of a number of other superlatives that when thrown around willy nilly lose their impact."
You're a print writer (even on the web), and you don't know that "allot" is not the word you're looking for? Really?! And then you want to complain about someone else?
"A Lot" is two words...
"Allot" (1) to assign as a share or portion / (2) to distribute by or as if by lot
Second sentence... DONE!

The n-word comment aside, I didn't see anything about this guy that he would get demoted. Look at the dopey crap that comes out of that station on a daily basis.
If you are going to fire or demote people on the basis of content, let's all admit Carlos Watson ain't at the top of the list at MSNBC.
And to cut him loose, he would probably be picked up by CNN and maybe FNC.

But the MSM has been doing that for the past 8 years in one way or another.
For them to go full bore after FNC and talk radio could be a real mistake at this point.
It would look like a full fledged assault on free speech and many on the left would join in with us on this fight.
Look how fast they dug stuff up against 'Joe the Plumber' & Sarah Palin.
That they have not been able to take out Beck at this point in my mind says something.
They can go after him full bore (with nothing?) Or! They can ignore him. (with 9/12, book out sept.22?) Either way Beck is sitting pretty at this time.
What I would keep my eye on is when Glenn goes out to his home town (sept.26th?) to get the keys to the city, a lot of crazies have a lot of time to plan something there.

One of his commenters, Penolope, gave a link to an article/promotion about an event he attended shortly after 911 and was also a speaker.

I actually got the idea from the enemy Beck for using his audience to gather factual information about high (pun intended) government officials, in the true spirit of Edward R.
