That O'Reilly report was so unlikely on its face I'm surprised Crain's ran with it. That would be a very bad move, as bad as what MSNBC does on election nights.

There could be a role for O'Reilly, as a sidelinecommentator or analyst., a la Juan Williams or Rove. That might work. But not as an anchor!

I hope the backlash for that obscure comic gets even bigger.
Let's do a comparison:
In clear thinking land, BOR defends Michelle Obama; compares far-left hate and smear sites on the internet to the propaganda and smear tactics used by the Nazis in the 1920s and '30s. *ONLY* the way they smeared and propagandized, not the other stuff.
In far-left land, BOR is a racist; has the nerve to call Arianna Huffington and her site Nazis and thinks these poor, innocent bloggers are mass murderers. How dare he.

Oh, no. A demo victory for KO. Watch him gloat tonight. Well, you watch, Johnny. We'll read about it on Olby Watch.

The payoff is poking holes in everything he says, even though it's painful to watch.

The Factor could have used Limbaugh last night, rather than tonight!

I'm thinking of having some Gingrich/O'Reilly '08 bumper stickers made and selling them on ebay. Of course, I'll keep two for my vehicles.

Limbaugh is going to be on for the same reason Jeri Thompson was on one night in November: Laura Ingraham is filling in. Otherwise, he wouldn't have bothered.

Dobbs' radio show will air live on the local SF Bay Area Clear Channel owned station.

The casualty of Dobbs' new show is Dennis Miller who is being moved to evenings.

Johnny, is there a Fox News sponsored debate anywhere on the horizon? I'm interested in how big the draw would be. I know Obama agreed to an interview with O'Reilly, but I have a feeling he'll pull a John Kerry on him.

Hillary agreed to a debate on Fox but the time passed before Obama decided what debates he would accept. Another debate between them is unlikely, though not impossible, depending on what happens on Tuesday. So the odds are against seeing them on Fox before the nomination is won.

I think Obama will show up on O'Reilly...after he's secured the nomination.

Gloating has been rescheduled to Monday. Olby is off tonight as they rerun their debate.

If Jonah is ever a guest, I'm sure BOR would read the book to prepare the interview. Typically, when he has a guest on promoting a book, he reads that book. He's an avid reader to begin with.

Well, I just went to FoxNews.com and punished myself by watching both parts of the Rush-Laura choir preaching...uh, I mean Laura Ingraham's two-part interview with Rush Limbaugh on "The Not-O'Reilly-On-This-Night Factor."
I'm a moderate Republican, but apparently that makes me a country club blue blood. (sarcasm): Yeah, this neighborhood here in Wantagh is a country club. My house is part of a country club. (serious again): There's nothing wrong with being a moderate Republican. I'm proud of being one.

Laura was an interesting host but not as fair as Bill usually is. The show went like this, with Hillary and Obama supporters as guests in two segments:

Laura: Challenge guest 1 about their candidate
Guest 1: defend their candidate
Laura: Tear apart guest 1, pit guest 2 against guest 1
Guest 2: attack guest 1
Laura: Attack guest 1 and/or 2, go back to guest 1
Guest 1: attack guest 2
etc...

Then, she brought Rush on who explained the republican strategy of pitting Hillary and Obama against each other for as long as possible. It was an interesting exchange and episode.

I like Laura but she does talk a little too much and, as you said, isn't as fair as Mr Bill. She really takes sides when she has two guests who oppose each other, so it becomes two against one. She's better with single guests.
