'He Didn't Just Drop In Yesterday'

J$P Video! Should Fox reconsider and invite Ron Paul to an upcoming candidates' forum?

From Fox News Iowa Caucus Coverage, January 4 2008

i think with paul getting such a higher republican vote yesterday over giuliani - they def should invite him - he's proven more relevant than giuliani in the race - and i think if they continue to ignore him they will start to lose viewers

they already have a problem on their hands now that huckabee won iowa

Note at 3:05 Shep says "How do WE know (he's not going to be president)?"

Listen to THAT a few times! Invigorating after all the "he's not going to be president" statements from the MSM.

Ron Paul, if given equal time to the other candidates, would show himself to be the only candidate- republican or democrat- who is not bought and sold by the lobbyists.

He speaks for himself and his supporters, not a bunch of powerful, greedy entities bent on enormous government.

Iowa is insignificant. The only relevance of the caucus is to fill the 24 hour news cycle and fill the diners in Iowa. It's a teeny microcosm. To keep it in perspective, it's the first of 49 for Gods sakes. The Paulites are persistant but they'll all be back in class or back in their parents basement in a few weeks.

Thanks for the stunning insight Tim...but I'm sorry to tell you that I'm writing my support for Ron Paul from my desk at my public accounting practice, not my parent's basement. Your lack of understanding his supporters suggests an even deeper lack of understanding regarding his message. Before I so publicly belittle someone, Tim, I make sure I know as much about them as possible. That way I don't look like an idiot. You should give it a try.

How does Greta know that Ron Paul is not going to be President?? Is that the memo that Fox News is passing around??

Lets listen to all of the candidates ideas in the election process; we may find a true leader of the free world, instead of the candidates with the highest percent.

Go Ron Paul.

Bill, I didn't mean to insult you, or the other Ron Paul supporters who have real lives and jobs. You have to admit, RP has drawn an enormous amount (perhaps unwanted) attention from the "fringe" and that my friend cannot go unaddressed. RP gives great "constitutional" soundbytes and tosses about lot's of "simple" answers that apply to to a 1950's America not to a 21st century America. It's a little late in the game to pick up our marbles and go home. Like it or not, we are the worlds' police force and if that ever changes, no one is going to like the outcome (except maybe Islamist radicals).
He's a nice old guy with a couple of good ideas, but he's just not up to the job of leading the free world.

Tim, RP does have a lot of oddball supporters (truthers? couldn't be more oddball or wrong) but he also has a massive libertarian following. His foreign policy IS his weak point, but his takes on all the other issues are spot on. Minimalist intervention by the fed, state determination on the rest. Give me liberty, not more restrictions.

I don't know why I should have to defend myself in supporting RP, but I'm in the same boat as Bill. I own my house, pay my taxes, own a business, have my CCW- I exercise my rights that this country offers at every opportunity. Only one candidate wants to expand, not impose upon, those rights.

I certainly agree with you Tim that Iowa truly means nothing in the big picture.
