Re: John Gibson/Page Hopkins

So John gets a "commentary" spot during his former program slot?

And did Brian ever sound awkward responding to the question about Page Hopkins. Poor thing - she's probably out with Laurie trying to find another job!

What was that car chase spot that carried over into Geraldo? I'm not sure I have ever seen so much wasted time. And, that news reader who preceded Geraldo .... Where in the world did they find her? That was a joke.

I liked her on America's Election HQ and the Fox Report.

She did a wonderful job on the stories she covered, looked great, and showed her sense of humor too. I'd like to see her on one (or both) of those shows again next weekend.

There was a side of Bob Beckel and Major Garrett that I had never seen or heard before in that piece. Has Major really been away from his kids so long that they don't know him anymore?

Actually, Kirk, the polls are telling CNN what the #1 issue is, and CNN is conveying that information to its viewers. Not a radical concept .... Barring some cataclysm in Iraq, as opposed to the current slow burn, or in Afghanistan, as opposed to the benign neglect, the economy will be the primary issue. How could it be anything but the primary issue? Tough times, tardily acknowledged and grossly understated by the Bush Administration. Tremendous spikes in petroleum and soon wheat as well .... Large banks collapsing .... Middle of Sunday night Federal Reserve Bailouts .... Kirk, even FNC hasn't been able to continue ignoring the Bush economy. Seems to me CNN is simply doing its job.

When exactly was FNC ignoring the economy?

Julie is wonderful, and quite delightful. I do adore her. Still, no Laurie...

Not only does FNC extensively cover the economy on their primary news channel, they created a whole new channel to focus specifically on it!

And Cablevision is withholding that channel from its customers, including me.

Sudden empty feeling: Laurie's bio is no longer available on FoxNews.com. Strangely, Page Hopkins' is still there...

Following up on what I said about Cablevision, their product ads are so hubristic, smug, and arrogant. "We're the best. Take that, phone company!" The ads I saw for Bright House Networks when I was in the Tampa area last week, made me want to move there. No arrogance, hubris, or smugness in their ads.

Comcast, who carries FBN, also airs smug, arrogant ads. She says "AT&T is your world delivered- eventually!". The chick talking is smokin though...sweet.

I LOVED The Strategy Room! I even e-mailed FNC to tell them what a pleasant surprise it was, since I had not known of it.

We get an Eric McCormack look-alike. Other ads include the office nerd outcast that doesn't get News 12 because he switched to "phone company TV" (Verizon FiOS TV).
