As I posted on OW, Olbermann has a history of doing exactly as CityFile, Gawker and Wonkette did, with even less evidence. Roberta McCain's characterization had great timing,
"I, myself, can't figure out that type of person who really more or less gets joy out of denigrating people. I'm just not that type of person, I don't have friends like that, and thank God I am not around people like him."
Denigrating those who reported the story was the only response of which Olbermann was capable.
Silence would have been the ideal response, now it only makes his mother's death and his planned response to Roberta McCain's comments seem like nothing more than items manipulative for his debate.
Malignant egos cause all sorts of mischief. Over-reacting to a "booking mistake," could have been the sign of the "emotional wall" Olbermann cites. Rationalization works well for the narcissist.
Again, like I said yesterday, it was a tempest in a tea pot, but Olbermann choose to make it some kind of morality tale....So, as an Olbermann critic, I will gladly oblige.
"He said, he said," is a hard thing to deal with....Olbermann is finding that out but I doubt it will make him think twice the next time he plans to mecilessly ridicule a member of his "deserved" enemies list.

As much as I dislike Keith Olbermann, I've never been able to justify calling him a misogynist.
I don't see him singling women out to any greater extent than the popular culture singles us out. Most of the hideously mean little riffs Keith does on individual women are because the rest of media is already in the process of turning her into a pariah.
Now, I am always amazed that so many liberal men and woman utterly lose any sense of feminism when it comes to a woman who doesn't hold their political views, but I don't see Keith as being any different from the usual.
Olbermann pretty well treats ALL opposition contemptuously and always has his ear to ground when it comes to the next person he can ridicule and bully.
I respect Bob Somerby and others who feel Keith is a woman hater, but unless there's more evidence, I just consider him as being an equal opportunity hater.

olbermann is acting. im sure hes channeling his real emotions for his mother's passing, however hes acting as if hes been done some horrible crime. anyone who falls for this is getting fooled.
he was embarrassed by these rumors because their true. he admits as much when he says ben aflecks agent is a moron or whatver he said about the double booking. its not hard to imagine olby throwing a fit. he also insults dan abrams, evidence the blog rumors bother him. why is he responding? because its true, and hes embarrassed to admit he threw a fit. i understand he might be acting emotionally more than ever now due to his mom's dying, but for him to act like we should feel sorry for him is my LOL moment. keith has attacked so many decent ppl for so long, and we are supposed to let him cry on our shoulder? he has abused his bully pulpit. he is propogandist and liar, definitely less credible than a respectable blog.
johnny and olbermann watch are not attacked by keith at all cuz he can't find a single error to whine about. the best olby could say was that the story "spread around the web" and play the sympathy card. weak.
that was the most amusing special comment of sorts i've ever seen. literally crazy. m afraid his rating are going to go up! please msnbc, put this guy together with scarborough, or matthews, or abrams or anyone like that. crazy mann.
or jeff raneiri. crazy.

This is all so silly.
I "happen to know for a fact" that Keith was in Sweden having his privates removed so Michael Musto can "make an honest woman" of him.
They do make such a cute couple.

this didnt come from newsliars but a music "news" website:
Miss California To Join FOX NEWS … To Be A NEWS ANCHOR!!!
the headline is totally misleading and the article that it links to states Miss california will be ONE-DAY co-host
even one of the commenters says that before he goes on a anti-fox rant

Olby Sucks
Why would olbermann spend 10 minutes of airtime defending himself as to why he went to baseball games, unless he was lying in the first place?
Does he make his nephew dress like a bum, too?

Fracas? "...a reporter and a photographer got into a high-profile verbal scuffle that ended with the reporter shouting obscenities."-By Emily Heil and Elizabeth Brotherton
Roll Call Staff
Does anyone believe for one second that this is the last we're going to hear/see about this???
Hopefully, the verbal scuffler/obsenity shouting reporter will put forth his side of the story.
Personally, all I can say is, that poor, innocent reporter, being a member of the press, may have been traumatized by that shocking language, unheard of in his profession.

Looks like oreilly is going after GE, nbc news again
from billoreilly.com:
Talking Points Memo & Top Story
GE, NBC News and President Obama
Is there something going on behind the scenes between General Electric, NBC News and the Obama administration?
I'm sure the olbermann rebuttel will come monday or tuesday, which will probely include lies/spin
this "feud" is intersting to watch.I can see two views on this:
first: oreilly should go at olbermann directly
second: oreilly is right in how he handles it, he doesnt want to give olbermann any attention at all.

1) Welcome, officially (after two stints on "Red Eye"), to FNC, Tucker. And as I said last Friday, welcome to FNC, Dana Perino.
2) Chris, you're right. Man on Fan will "reply" via ridicule to his Olbsession on Monday. He'll likely also reply to him tonight since the Perfesser, Jonathan Turley, came up in last night's Talking Points Memo.
3) Harold Olbermann lost in the ratings again. Good.

Oh, my lord!
Keith Olbermann's ego is a "The Blob" like threat to NYC and is about as stable as nitroglycerin!
THIS rant, with its glib semi-conscious smacks at people Olbermann obviously considers to be incidental players in the game of exchanging oxygen for carbon dioxide... and it's melodramatic allusions that suggest that this angst is on par with his mother's loss, is SHOCKING!
You big baby! Boy, can you dish it out to EVERY person who happens to annoy you, referencing every blue blog conspiracy theory and slander on the internet, and then you do the third act of Hamlet over THIS.
He even has to reference FNC's "fair and balanced" slogan. THAT is just how deeply this man has been wounded... He can't pass up the opportunity to use the occasion for a gratuitous dig.
Excuse my french, but goddamn, he's a jerk!

its not that FNC sweeps, it crushes the competion, if you combine cnn/msnbc, they still lose to fnc, it just shows what america wants and the far left cant stand it!!
i guess those anti-fox websites have no effect. now the haters can claim that last year a debate that was suppose to air on fox didnt, because the dems caved into pressure from the far left.
it amazes me that the far left considers fox news more dangerous than the taliban, al qeada and other terrorist groups. I still remember olbermann quote where he states "fox news is worse than al qaeda

I'm glad to see Tucker Carlson was hired to be an analyst on FNC.
I've always liked Tucker. He's a libertarian and he stayed a libertarian on a cable channel where Pat Buchanan now functions as the voice for all positions right of Chris Matthews.

I don't know, Chris. I just picked up from Johnny's recaps at OlbyWatch. Harold Olbermann is a reference to Keith snidely referring to Glenn Beck as Harold Hill.

Thanks you, Ashley!
This business that Olbermann didn't have motive to fight Maddow's people over Affleck's appearance is bunk.
Olbermann is the quintessential elitist-wannabe. He grew up dreaming of being a "Mean Girl" (Lindsey Lohan movie, for you people without daughters...) and he later cloaked that bully boy desire in the eastern elitism he saw in tv news as a kid.
It DOES matter to him that people know that he's cool with Ben Affleck. That people get the message that the excoriating impersonation that Affleck did on SNL (written no doubt, because Olbermann was bashing another Democrat-- Hillary...) was just a little affectionate joshing among "his" hip liberal peers.
Much to the reported discomfort of the SNL players, Olbermann actually SHOWED UP UNINVITED on the set, while the thing was being rehearsed!
Oh, yeah, Olbermann most certainly would get upset that he couldn't sit down with Affleck and put to rest the notion that a few of the coolest of the cool kids might find him as obnoxious, intransigent, and irrational as his critics.
It most definitely WOULD matter to him enough for him to have a bathtub boy moment..

Ugh, Tucker Carlson coming to FNC? I hope no one has to go to urban dictionary to look up "slumming it".
Hopefully he can pull a Glen Beck and shine on FNC without being tied down by the tethers of an all-left station, but Beck is much higher caliber than Carlson. I understand that one is a host and one will be a contributor, but I'm just not feeling it with Carlson.

If he's a libertarian, then I can't have beef with him. Libertarianism is is the original republican, as opposed to the modern neo-con who takes lobbyists over liberty.
From what I saw of him on MSNBC he tried to play a right wing guy but was forced to be reserved by the network. Those reservations cost him credibility.

Tucker is informative and enjoyable. He is a godd addition. At times, he can be a bit unbalanced (not in the FOX misdefinition of that word), so viewers need to be preapred for that.
Perino brings nothing, unless you enjoy vacuous prevaricators. I view her as nothing more than an apologist and a fraud.

Mark, you could call any White House Press Secretary an apologist prevaricator- it's their job description. Perino wasn't a great Press Secretary (despite the fact that she blows doddering Gibbs out of the water), but she comes equipped with plenty of experience with the press and government politics. Plus, she's a Fox.
Tucker I'll reserve my opinion on until I see him on a fair and balanced network.
