"Mr. Beck manages at one point to link, in a deniable way, Woodrow Wilson and Joseph Goebbels, who, he says, learned everything he knew about propaganda from the United States. The Nazi propaganda minister might as well have learned it from Mr. Beck, who employs the word “they” like a club without ever saying who “they” are."

Question. Since The Heinous Haters at the Hen House were soooooooo outraged by O'Reilly speaking at the organization that helps rape victims, where was their outrage at the "hatef**k article in Playboy magazine?

Oh, I know it is not rape but it is still mysonginy at it's worst. But not a peep from the Hens or the Nags at NOW.

Liberal outrage is very selctive.

You didn't expect them to write about wanting to have any kind of sex at all with Albright, Reno, Napolitano or Garofalo, did you?

In reference to Keith's slur that by posting the (very public) addresses of two clinics that perform late-term abortions, Stanek was putting them in danger from her "crazy" readers, I love a commenter's line that by giving Stanek's blog publicity, so then had Olbermann!

This is the latest "shut up" argument from the left. The far left wishes to dehumanize their political enemies so that eventually it will become socially acceptable to do violence against them.

Megyn accurately sums of consequences of the Playboy blogsite article that are seemingly beyond the kin of Playboy flaks.

Quite a part from any implications from a term like "hate sex", for a national men's magazine website to essentially call these women stupid nazi whores is a rhetorical assault that deserves its own apology.

It doesn't matter how much money the company has given to women's rights groups, if this is their level of tolerance for women who don't echo particular political views, they're still the objectifying sexists that most women consider them as being in the first place...

I don't know if I'm violating some boundaries by attempting to post this link, Johnny, but it's a cute parody of Olbermann.

It's unimaginable that Olbermann would have an alternative voice on his show, but the spoof of Olbermann style rhetoric is bullseye!

Why wasn't Guy Cimbalo's named "Worst Person in the World" for his rape fantasy unless Keith Olbermann agrees with Guy Cimbalo...

Re: "Sanchez smacks O'Reilly": So, who does everyone here think was the winner? Rick or Bill? I don't want to believe that Bill was wrong. Though I clicked on the TVNewser link, I didn't bother watching the embedded video. I'm sure he had Olbermann-like indignation.

My take:

O'Reilly was wrong. He said CNN didn't cover it until Cooper at 10:00 pm, but they did cover it during the day. My guess is that O was referring to the primetime hours, but as can happen when you speak extemporaneously without a script he didn't say it right. He should clarify what he meant and admit he was wrong.

Of course the ridiculousness of a hack like Sanchez lecturing someone else about journalism is an entirely different story. At least O'Reilly never killed anyone.

You're right. I don't expect a clarification too soon, though. Last year, he used a Photoshopped image of Hilary Duff during a pre-recorded segment on Miley Cyrus. A Duff fan site asked for an apology or clarification and it never came. I may be an O'Reilly fan, but I know that apologies and clarifications don't always come quick, if at all.

Although he did make a correction, which was comes with the apology and clarification, in late March over Spain's involvement with Iran.

To clarify, at the end of the Factor Investigation segment, Bill corrected his Wednesday night mistake that Rick Sanchez "smack[ed]" this afternoon.

Apparently (according to the folks over at TVN), O'Reilly apologized on the show tonight.

Tonight was the third Friday in a row (not counting May 22, which was a rerun) where the Top Story segment on "The Factor" pit Bill against two left-leaning women. On May 15, it was Marj Halperin and Nancy Skinner. Last week, it was Jami Floyd and Tanya Acker. Tonight, it was Julia Piscitelli and Leslie Marshall. But I think Bill starts taking Fridays off next week through Labor Day weekend.

I've added a link to Mr O's correction/apology. Interestingly enough, he said exactly what I postulated above: he was talking about primetime coverage but didn't say so.

Agreed, but these days, there may not be a carpet to match those drapes.
