I voted for Bret Baier, but I probably should have chosen Brian Wilson. Meanwhile, the poll voters prefer Alisyn Camerota on the weekends. As I said countless times yesterday all over the blogosphere, I wish her all the best.
Comcast didn't dump MSNBC; they merely moved it to digital cable only. Many providers are making channels available only for digital boxes. There's nothing wrong with that...unless you're still in the analog world. I'm gradually getting out of it. The only analog thing I record is "The Factor." I like being able to stop and go in my recording of it on a VCR. DVR doesn't give you that option.
Can we move on from the Jesse Jackson hot mic thing already? Nothing else is going to be aired.

By the way, I welcome moderation here. I'm glad it's been instituted.

Just a temporary measure. A test if you will. Now I know it's something I can whip out when things get out of hand.

I also voted Bret Baier, but I think that would only be in the job of 'Special Report' host. The Washington Bureau Manager job will probably go to Jim Angle or Brian Wilson.
BTW, love the 'double entendre' picture of the Brazil Nuts.

I went to Yahoo this morning and they featured a video from Fox News. The Fox News hosts showed the latest political video which has just been released from Jib Jab (an internet site that deals in humor and satire). Then, they interviewed the authors of the video. I thought it was hilarious.
However, I suspect that Fox will be criticized for airing that video. Many peoples faces were distorted, and, according to fanatical Fox critics, distorting people's faces is a mortal sin.
(you can find the video by first going to news then politics then jib jab)

Okay. I watched the video reel of Laura Ingraham. I didn't see anything wrong with what she was doing. She didn't lash out at anyone. Nothing looked out of the ordinary for a TV or radio show. For every show where everyone is joking around and being friendly during the breaks, there's a show where everyone, including the host, is serious and/or tough.

I just missed BOR on "Studio B." Damn. I hope you have video, Johnny.

I wonder how that video ever got into the public domain. Are Fox technicians encouraged to make such videos available to the public? If not, was their any disciplinary action taken?
Did Laura come on too strong in the minds of her staff at Just In? Was making the outtakes public, their way of getting even?
What does this portend for her future at Fox?

The video was from Harry Shearer. So, all we saw was the negative Fox-hating "Gotcha!" stuff. What we didn't see was probably her being complimentary and jovial to staff.
At the very least, Laura has a future as a Fox News Analyst and "Factor" fill-in.
Every time those cretins at MSNBC tout their "success," it frustrates me. If they didn't have Olbermoronn, I wouldn't care. But they do. I wish he'd just be limited to NBC Sports.

Working on video: it's entertaining but more revelatory about the behind-the-scenes than anything else. They don't even quote the sentence that was just published today (or just published six days ago on J$P).

It certainly was not put out by anybody that Laura would consider a friend. It was a hit job, but like you guys, I don't know how Fox can trace the person responsible for putting it together (from several shows btw) and releasing it.

GrandpaD, I too noticed the "double entendre" in the toes pic. Too funny, it dates us however. My father used to call them that.
Mike, I disagree 100% about moderation. I can see how you'd like it considering that you said you liked it better when the site was quiet, and moderated comments are a site killer.

OMG! I just read the HuffPo article by Rachel Sklar re: Fox saying goodbye to Tony Snow. I am tearing up right now - she took the very nicest things his Fox colleagues said about him, and put together a beautiful tribute.
I started out thinking the tribute may be somewhat confrontational, but not at all. She really did an excellent job with this.
If you're reading, thank you, Rachel.

Changing the subject awkwardly from that, with Phil Griffin now the man at MSNBC, Keith isn't going anywhere ever. He'll just continue to be a thorn in the paws of people he disagrees with and hates. And they'll continue to be attacked and named Worse, Worser, and Worst Person. Keith Olbermann is now the most powerful man at NBC/GE and there isn't a damn thing any of us can do about it.

FoxNews suits need to put the hammer down on employees that leak stuff that has no business being made public. Put some heavy weight in charge and stop this foolishness before the Titanic references become common place. Management just needs to address the issue as it's damaging to the brand. It will stop when those in charge make it a priority.

That KOS posting about Tony Snow and MSNBC was hilarious. A good example of their thinking capabilities. What is wrong with those people?

I went to KOS, wanted to see the Kossacks response to that stupid Tony Snow/MSNBC story. Quite gone. I bet that the author, citizen rat, is blaming that on Tony Snow too.

Well, I'd be pretty annoyed with Tony if he did come back and went to work for MSNBC.

At the end of the article, the author asks his readers to call Tony Snow or MSNBC. I hope his readers all do that. I feel like calling MSNBC myself, refer them to the article in Daily Kos, and tell MSNBC that I am really offended by what Snow said on their network recently. I won't but I feel like doing that to get their representative's reaction.
I do hope that MSNBC gets a flood of such calls.
