'It Gets McCain Back to What He's Best At'

J$P Video! News Watch analyzes controversial remarks by Bill Cunningham:

From Fox News Watch, March 1 2008

Take that, Bill Cunningham.
Is Kirsten just on for this week or is "Fox News Watch" her new home, so to speak?

And yes, when Obama's critics refer to him by his full name, they are doing it maliciously. Jon Stewart is another matter; no malicious intent at the Oscars, just joking. Plus, he's not an Obama critic.

I don't recall seeing her on there before. I think it's a "rotating" seat that has recently held Juan Williams, Rachel Sklar, and KP.

Mike Chimeri: So let me guess. you didn't care when Democrats did the middle name thing against a Republican, right?
Like most hypocrite Democrats, something is only wrong, when it is done against them.

Nothing bothers the junior senator from Virginia, George Felix Allen, more than to be reminded of his middle name-- and all those excruciating years growing up and being taunted and beaten up by other cruel children who mockingly called him "Felix." Children can be so cruel. Most adults leave that behind. But George Felix still flinches and cringes when he hears someone shout "Felix" even today. Now, everyone knows where he got that name Felix-- in fact he's always had an abiding hatred for his parents for inflicting that on him and his revenge was to spend years beating and tormenting his younger siblings, so eloquently documented in his sister Jennifer's horrifying autobiography, FIFTH QUARTER: THE SCRIMMAGE OF A FOOTBALL COACH'S DAUGHTER.
People are less certain, however, where exactly George Felix got the name "racist." What is known is that he's been a racist long before he ever got elected to anything. When he was growing up (sort of) he had painted a confederate flag on the hood of his car and he wore confederate jewelry. His politics have always been in sympathy with the KKK and, according to today's Washington Post he's up to his old racist tricks again.
A draft dodger who loved parading around in cowboy drag on a dude ranch in Nevada during the Vietnam War, had made the mistake of questioning decorated war hero Jim Webb's patriotism

Vince, I'm not a far-left nut. I've said that before. I should probably use that disclaimer for all of my comments. I'm a moderate Republican.
Regardless, I don't think I belong here. I'm sorry I decide to start commenting to this site a couple of weeks ago. This is what happens when my views aren't conservative enough. Say one wrong thing and BAM! I'm perceived as a Kos kid or something.

I can't even bear to read your full comment anyway. It's too painful. You basically attacked me.

Mike, there's no reason for you not to comment here. Things get off track a little into politics when this is basically a site about cable news. But everyone's opinion here is welcome. There is no litmus test.
I have spoken!

Good. Thank you, Johnny. It's just that I take attacks personally. It hurts. I should probably change my homepage to a site describing Asperger Syndrome, which I have.

I like this site very much. I have a mind for media, having been in broadcasting myself, although I've been in limbo for a year.
So, getting back on topic, Mary Katharine Ham had a blog posting yesterday where she said she was in New York for the day. Now, we know what she was there for.

I liked Kirsten Powers in the seat formerly occupied by Neal Gabler. Hope she returns.
And didn't Jane Hall look a little overweight sitting next to the comparatively slim Mary Katherine Hamm?

MC-Would never have taken you for a Kos Kid. Always thought you were more conservative than you probably are. Shame some of us can't civilly disagree--that's your kos-type, which isn't necessarily liberal. My son's Asperger's, he's a very political 13 year old.

Mike: I'm sorry I called you a Democrat. I can understand why you're angry because of that,, I would be too.

Apology accepted. I just wish Johnny could get rid of the comment that got me so upset. But I don't want to set a precedent.

I had the attack coming anyway. I took a shot at Bill Cunningham and said there wasn't any malice in Jon Stewart using Obama's full name at the Oscars last week. I don't want to censor any conservative talk radio hosts. I'm on their side when it comes to attacks by the left, in particular the far-left. I just find certain hosts irritating. B.C. falls into that category.
I'm subscribed to podcasts of John Gibson's show. He's good, and at his best when ripping the media and KO, but lately, he's spending whole shows on Obama. The redundancy is wearing on me and I'm tempted to unsubscribe, but I won't yet.
Otherwise, all I like is "The Radio Factor" and "The Dennis Miller Show" (via podcasts). BOR is structured and Dennis is friendly and laid back. Those are my kind of shows. No choir-preaching or doctrinaire for me.
How many times has Rachel Marsden been back now?
NBC has bad judgment in the news department, especially at MSNBC, but we all knew that.   However, I don't think their sports (except for putting Olby in NFL coverage) or all of their entertainment fall into the same category. I could be wrong since the only NBC shows I watch are golf, hockey, and "Amnesia."
Okay, I've said enough for now.

Oh, oops. I took so long writing that comment that I forgot where I was and thought I was in the open thread. Sorry.
