'I'm Proud of the Fox News Channel'

J$P Video! Alan announces his upcoming retirement from H&C:

From Hannity & Colmes, November 24 2008

Followed Alan since the days at WEVD.
Glad he is keeping the radio show and sticking around.
Twelve years with Shawn, most marriages don't last that long.
It could take a while to find a replacement.
99% of liberals don't have a sence of humor, Alan is one of the few.

He had a great run with Hannity. Gotta give him that. Bravo.

olby sucks
Colmes should be replaced by Dr. Savage or lovely Michelle Malkin. Obsamamania is going full speed so Fox doesn't need no libs.
I'm so glad Glenn joined our team.

I second Michael Savage as the replacement for Colmes!
That way, we'll have a somewhat moderate Conservative in Hannity and we'll have a hard core solid Conservative in Michael Savage :]

Colmes is a hater and I will be glad to see him go. I have heard his radio show and he is insulting and condescending to any guest that has the nerve to bring a differing opinion. Good riddance.

It`s sad to see Alan go even if a time he had a very small voice we like him being there very much. It was not the same when he was non on.
We wish him well he will be missed and we hope he will come on as a guest.

I agree that a female counter to Hannity would have some audience pull. Instead of softer Kristen, how about one of those black leather blazer, New Yorkese, heavy make-up liberal lady lawyer types, that you see giving commentary on court cases on cable shows.
There's two I'm thinking of, but I can't remember their names.
Those women could handle Hannity easily and enliven things by generating a little tough street girl/good Catholic boy flirtatiousness.
If you're out there, Roger Ailes, I'd be glad to bounce some programming ideas around with you.

In all honesty don't you think that networks like Fox News or people like Hannity and in some parts Michelle Malkin helped in some way, get Obama elected, all they did was throw his associations (Ayers, Wright, Flager(sp)) around, it seemed to me when they (conservatives) went negative Obama rose in the polls, I think that was also the gaffe that McCain and Palin were very guilty of also.
While the economy was going in the tank all they (McCain/Palin) never addressed that, they just went with same old Republican talking points which in this case did not work, the putting the fear of god into us mentality.
That is why I think Fox needs a voice for the liberals who like me do sometimes watch Fox News, and before you go on the Olbermann/Maddow kick. Fox is trying as hard as they can to play the middle, but they just can't, they need a very strong liberal voice, who that is I am not sure, the only person with enough testicular fortitude is Olbermann ( and we all know that will not happen) . Dr Savage? are we talking about Michael Savage? If you are he make O'Reilly look like Mother Teresa. What he said about Autistic Children was deplorable and as a parent of and Autistic child I would never watch Fox News if he was brought in.

Bill Press! Bill Press!
He would be perfect. Smart, looks good, edgy, and he is a flaming liberal!
Please not Pat Caddell. He looks like he needs a bath and needs to wash his hair. Yuck!

Bill Press is a good idea.
He's alienated leftist enough to be interesting to both the left and the right, and smart and professional enough not to be an egomanical Keith Olbermann.

Mike C.
Jami Floyd is one of those liberal lady lawyer types, Cece. She has a show on TruTV, but she's been a guest on "The Factor" a few times.

Almost, Mike. Floyd is a bit maturely sophisticated appearing.
Who I have in mind is one of those street-wise hoochie tough cookie types.
