Problems with the NYT piece:
1) They used a very unflattering image of Fred Thompson.
2) They speak of BOR as if he's a conservative! I shouldn't be surprised. No matter how many times you tell people that hate him that he's an independent, they won't listen because they don't care.

Enjoyed the Howard Kurtz piece on Mika and Joe, Johnny.

I was surprised to see that I was raised in similar dynamics to Mika.

I too sat at a dinner table with a brilliant father and two brothers and had to try and hold my own.

I don't listen to radio except when driving, but I'm going to see if I can find Mika and Joe on my XM-Sirius thing.

As for Kurtz' tidbit about Obamalot at the end of his piece, HK is up to his usual routine of giving credence or some attention to a claim of media bias only AFTER a particular controversy or an election is over.

Howard gets around to seeing bias after a Democrat has won or in the case of a controversy, after there's a new meme that the person being dissed by the media either had been treated TOO favorably in the past or had deserved it for believing something traditional, historical, and widely viewed as so-- thus being a radical rightwing freak...

You can always count on Kurtz.

Fred Thomson would make a very interesting radio host with his fiery demeanor. He was my second favorite republican primary contender, next to he-who-should-not-be-named (not Voldemort).

I had no idea radio serials were so terrific.

Well, like anything else, some were better than others. But J$ is generally regarded as one of the best. Here's some background info on the show.

The info fails to mention the wit in the episodes I've heard so far.

Mrs. Gotlieb setting Dollar to work on her Christmas wrapping. Mr. O'dair waxing poetic on the evolutionary zenth of the apple-- applejack. Dollar's "action packed expense account".

There seems to be controversy on a daily basis when it comes to F&F.
This morning Gretchen announced....Santa had come early for her kids....That's all well and good...But I don't think she realises the gravity of such a statement on TV. Young children are watching....Seeing this...They'll now be pestering their parents for an early Santa visit. I don't think Grechen has thought out the huge ramifications of such a statement. I'm predicting total Pandemonium across the U.S. This all happened around 8am ET.

Message to take from the Hannity story....Under no circumstances take investment advice from this man.

The video says the show will be titled "Glenn Beck" rather than "Beck." So, the initial "Bold, Brash, Beck" promo fooled me.

At approximately 8:40 on "F&F," Gretchen gave Steve and Brian their Christmas presents. Let me know if it's video-worthy, Johnny.

Looked like a nice segment but I had some sort of DVR glitch in the middle of it. Nice promo for the two-hour primetime F&F special though, which I've heard will be quite good.

Loved the Stride commercial before the Beck promo.

Jan 19th is a Monday. Is Beck going to be daily M-F? If so, what time?

Yet another Right Wing show....In a sea of Right Wing shows....But never fear Alan will soon appear....And Jack & Jill are still after that pail of water.
When are Fox going to stop this charade...And just say what they are.

Special Report is a must-see for tomorrow. Brit Hume will be missed. Fortunately, he'll be back on from time to time as a panelist.

Excellent analysis to back up the Keith "Czechoslovakia" Olbermann incompetence of reporting real news over at OW.

Simply more proof that K"C"O is lazy, incompetent, and more willing to side with a terrorist than anyone else.

Maybe once....He's lowered the bar considerably during his FNC days.

I'm excited about Beck's show too. I think CNN probably reigned him in- time to see him shine with all the ammo given to him by our wobbly-legged fawn of an administration!

Last night I tried to set a schedule for it, but alas, my DVR only sees a few weeks into the future...

I'm with Cece on the crawl.

I haven't read the crawl in years, and I watch FNC every night. It only serves to keep attention by the mere motion; its informational value is nil.

Just caught Special Report on DVR. Hume did his usual great job. I'm really going to miss him, especially during the grapevine and the last 2 minutes of the show.

FNC has a number of great ones in the bullpen who can take over for Hume and do a good job as his successor. Bret Baier and Brian Wilson would both do a good job. I don't believe that a successor has been named yet. Will be interested to see what develops here. Special Report is a good show, I hope that FNC does not change the format.

I am very interested to see how GB's new show develops. Without the censorship of CNN, he has a chance to do great things.

The promo indicates that Glenn is sick of rank, bitter partisanship on both sides. Me, too.

It looks like the Huffington Post, famed Left Wing Extreme Hate Web Site", notorious for its array of deranged Fox Hating posters, has been lifting tons of material and posting it as their own, without credit or permission, from the original writer.

Arianna Huffington seems to be on the Keith "Czechoslovakia" Olbermann a lot. Let's see if this issue is real, the next time she's on with Olby, will he mention it? Doubtful.

The writer of this blog recommends renaming "The Huffington Post" as "Grand 'Theft HuffPo".

Love the Johnny Dollar audio!!!!!

What a lost art form.

I highly recommend to all that, if you have not seen it, catch Woody Allen's Radio Days. Love him or hate him, it's a great movie that centers around radio from the 30s and 40s.
