NEWS HOUNDS SMEARS TAMMY BRUCE

See, I can write fake headlines just like they do.

Here is what Ellen posted about a Tammy Bruce comment.

"Tammy Bruce. Good choice of guest, Bill, to rail against attacks on women, considering that this is the same “feminist” who, while hosting Laura Ingraham's radio show, said of Michelle Obama “That's what he's married to . . . we've got trash in the White House.”

Here is what she actually said.

"That's what he's married to," Bruce said. "...You know what we've got? We've got trash in the White House. Trash is a thing that is colorblind, it can cross all eco-socionomic...categories. You can work on Wall Street, or you can work at the Wal-Mart. Trash, are people who use other people to get things, who patronize others, who consider you bitter and clingy..."

Nothing works better for the Hens than out of context statements.

Ellen, also claimed this.

Now, I'm just asking, but could it be that's because the right-wing did such a great job of sexualizing her itself, with the happy cries of 'GILF” and “MILF" and the “hottest Governor” t-shirts, and that it's a little tough now to cry “foul?”

Yet when you follow the "GILF" and "MILF links you find web stores selling Sarah Palin tee shirts.
Amazing!!! Web stores are now working for the "right wing".

You cannot make this stuff up folks.

"Sexualizing Sarah Palin..."

Quick reminders, folks: Babs Walters on "The View" told Barack Obama to his face that he was "the sexiest presidential candidate to come on our show." Some female writer over at Slate wrote an almighty praise column on - no kidding - Michelle Obama's butt. And the whole media went utterly gaga over Barack's "shimmering pectorals" when he went swimming in the ocean last year.

And Ellen is going to lecture us about sexualizing candidates?? LMAO!

Anyone remember the specifics of this.

I'm sorry john t but if you want to post here you have to respond to a question asked of you many weeks ago. You claimed:

Seeing that every article you post comes from some other blog. Mostly a RW blog or a RW author.

If you want to document that most of what I post comes from a RW blog or author, you've had a long time to do it and haven't. If you want to admit you were wrong and take back what you said, that's fine too. But we don't like lies here, so you'll have to resolve this one way or the other before you can resume commenting here. I thought I explained this weeks ago, but I'll give it one last shot. --J[original john t message deleted]

SCHULTZ (43:40): Appreciate all your emails and your support. The, ah, early numbers that have come in for ratings have not been bad, I might say. I wouldn't say we knocked it out of the park, but we're, we're getting there, we're getting there.

Oh, hell!

Speaking of radio shows, I listened to one the other day that should be made into a movie.

I believe it was the program Suspense and it was about Orson Wells who finds himself helping a woman who has killed her husband.

Wells' smooth amorality and his banter with the woman, who he's attracted to (he tells her he's going to call her "Stupid" when he's exasperated but cant stop helping her, and then proceeds to call her that in a very sexual tone all the way through the program), HAD to be WAY WAY ahead of the program's early 40's genre.

The writing on these shows can be amazing.

I don't know what's happened, but the sophistication of audiences has certainly deteriorated.

Puck,

I just tried to find the episode online and I can't. I don't remember the title I heard it about a week ago on XM Radio Classics.

It's a great episode-- starting with the Wells character idling near a lake and inadvertently observing a strange woman struggling to plunge a car into the water with her husband's body in it. He yells out to her "Take off the brake!" :D

Thanks for the link!

I agree with you about radio.

Some programs I missed the first time around b/c I was not allowed to listen to them b/c I was too young. My parents and older brothers used to listen to those programs in Mama's bedroom with the door closed while I was supposed to be innocently sleeping.

Whenever I could I creeped out of bed and listened as best I could huddled alone in a dark hall. Talk about scary like that!

I hope this isn't so off topic as to activate The Sterm Moderator" in you, Johnny.

It is my considered opinion that a little leeway, especially for moi, encourages a sense of community.

I agree, Orson Wells was a genius and a man ahead of his time.

Puck, This Stop Willoughby is one of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes. Heck, just about all of them are my favorites.
