Beck Likens Obama To A Cancer In The Country
Reported by Ellen - June 10, 2009 - 17 comments

Nowhere in her screeching post does she link Obama to a cancer. Oh, she'll say Beck called progressives a cancer and Obama may be a progressive but she sure stretched into one of her better distortions.

Pretty soon Ellen, the congenital liar, will connect all this to Kevin Bacon.

"I don't think it's fair to reproduce a list of entertainers who've told me they watch the show religiously, but I keep it, and it's a long one, and I'm delighted by it, and they don't seem to have complaints about my overall treatment of those in the field."

More insight into the childish mind of MSNBC'S biggest draw. Pathetic.

And the following is even a better example of how today's (self-proclaimed) Murrow comes up with his quality journalism night after awful night....

kossak: "Seriously Keith, seriously world. I care about Adam Lambert being Gay about as much as I care about Kris Allen being Gay. If he is good for him. But American Idol with all its celebrity-whoring, consumer-clash goodness, was never about ideologies. It was about the g** d*** music. Anybody who thinks otherwise is reading way, WAY too into things."

Olbermann: "Uhh...the segment was about giving me a chance to say 'trouser snake' on television and actually be referring to the cover of Rolling Stone."

Re:apoplectic clown

Nothing shows the political tilt of the media chattering class more than the requirement that whenever they're criticizing a cable channel that is not FNC, that they then bash FNC for balance.

It's sort of like declaring "not that this matters" when making an observation that is based upon ethnicity, race, or sexuality, in that it's meant to distance themselves from any suspicion among the ever-watchful liberal intelligentsia that they harbor secret failings. In this case "right wing" sympathies.

I am not a big fan of O'Reilly, but he does NOT choose the weakest liberal around and then bash him/her.

He may cut them (and Bernie Goldberg, Laura Ingraham...Dick Morris... and EVERYONE else in the world...) off at times, but he does have solid opposition on, they do make their points, and often get the last word.

THAT is a scenario that cannot be compared to Maddow's and Olbermann's shows PERIOD.

14 year-old kids should not be the subjects of late night jokes about prostitution or statutory rape.

If this had been anyone other than Sarah Palin, the MSNBC shills would have been apoplectic.

"Common sense thinker?"

Contessa Brewer lost it...simple.

More unprofessional behavior by another MSNBC "journalist."

The list is getting long.

For MSNBC -

It's OK to refer to hundreds of thousands of Americans exercising their right of free speech as racists.

It's OK for anyone to publically joke on national televiaion about raping the 14 year old daughter of a prominent Republican politician.

But don't dare question the tactics used by MSNBC.

Contessa Brewer is a fool.

Yeah.

I read the summation of the video on TVNewser and was thinking that Ziegler was rude and showing bad faith to agree to an interview with MSNBC and then use it as an opportunity to spit at them.

However, when in the first three six seconds of the segment Brewer formulated Lettersman's remarks as something that Palin considered unfunny rather than his remarks actually being insulting, I knew exactly why Ziegler went after them.

How willfully obtuse can you get?

Brewer went on to say that she had experienced something comparable to Palin (I suppose by Don Imus) and that it hadn't killed her as though Palin had been making a mountain out of a molehill. That of course ignores the fact that Palin had been ASKED to comment on Letterman's joke.

Brewer really is as dumb as brick.

Bristol was not on this trip with Governor Palin. Willow Palin was in New York and mentioned in the papers.

Willow Palin is 14 years old. She was at the baseball game.

David Lettermann will have to revise and extend his remarks (bad jokes) if he was referring to Bristol....I would love to see how he makes that into a "funny."

The entire point is that it seems ok with the MSM to make crude, sexist and even vile jokes about Republican women and their daughters. Ms. Brewer tried her hardest not to go there, even editing the jokes to not include those about the minor, and when Ziegler pushed, she lost it....

Any journalist worth their weight in yearly salary should be able to hold their tongue and remain professional when and interviewee is difficult....even rude as Ziegler was (and always is!...give me a break, they know who they are getting when they invite him on!)

Look at Mike Wallace, look at Edward R. Murrow, look at Jim Lehrer.

Well, since the interviewer was Contessa Brewer and the interview was done on MSNBC, that alone makes it a joke.

I don't believe it's Julie B's. She would be tweeting about it, and she hasn't been.

The media is really going to a very dark place. The combination of Obama worship, unhinged/obvious hatred of anyone conservative and the hypocrisy displayed almost every day will only make things worse.

You know I've had some time to think about the David Letterman joke about Palin looking like a "slutty stewardess", and I think I owe Contessa Brewer an apology in a sense.

That joke really shouldn't be taken seriously. It IS funny, when you think about it.

I think my perception of THAT was colored by what Letterman joked about Palin's daughter-- which WAS a cheap shot and perhaps more.
