I had to wonder when I first heard about CNN's wire. Why add another Obama-fawning wire service to a supersaturated market? I guess they could focus on Obama's minor positive traits- what he had for breakfast and how healthy it was, what foot powder his stylist puffs onto his little piggies each morning, etc. I think those areas are covered already by the other wire services though...

What was Chris Wallace thinking when he told Mike Gallagher, on his radio show, about what the VP said to him (below)

"“thank you so much for defending the president and yes I’m going to be giving you a special exit interview in a couple of weeks?”"

This sort of thing doesn't help the Fox cause....Wallace surely must realise this.

So, your Tide didn't win, Chippy (nee AlabamaDem) on Saturday, but at least you'll be in a BCS bowl.

I'm curious - assuming all of this is true, how did you know about it? Were you actually listening to Mike Gallagher show? If not, from what web site did you read about it? Lastly, you are such a fox hater, why would you even bother to write a post showing concern for "the Fox cause"?

Well he can raise the question. It is an open thread. But the question itself I find bizarre. Wallace made a very valid point about the distinctions between Nixon and Bush. He wasn't defending Bush so much as he was sticking up for accuracy in analysis. That Cheney would appreciate one person going into a lion's den to make a valid point is not surprising. If he gets an exclusive interview, more power to him. That's not a bad reward for just being a stickler for accuracy.

But Johnny the question is this: Why did Wallace feel the need to tell the world about what the VP said to him.
I'd have thought a "fair & balanced" network would run a mile from that sort of statement...It just doesn't look right.

The fact that you can name the days when they won the demo (not the news demo, the other demo) is rather like the losing politician, who got so few votes he could send a personal thank you card to each person who voted for him.

Not misleading at all, I said he never has won the demo every night, and never will.

The part of this you don't get Chippy is that the Factor and Countdown live shows are pre-primetime in the mountain and pacific time zones. In other words, a large percentage of viewers for both shows don't get to see the show until the rerun in order to see it at all.

I'm west coast and have to view the rerun at 8:00 PM my time.

But here is where you FNC haters lose the argument. When you add the "demo" for both live and first rerun, BOR wins hands down. The FNC haters always like to dwell on advertising revenue, they look at all the shows not only the live, and BOR wins it hands down.

BOR - The #1 show on the # rated cable news network.

Clarification of my 7:40 post

"The FNC haters always like to dwell on advertising revenue, they look at all the shows not only the live, and BOR wins it hands down."

Should read "The FNC haters always like to dwell on advertising revenue; but the advertisors look at all the shows not only the live, and BOR wins it hands down."

BOR - soon to be 97 consecutives months as #1.

K"C"O - still ZERO months at #1

and when you ADD them, which is what the advertisors and the networks do, BOR is still #1.

For example, you cited 12/3 as a win for Mr. Czechosolvakia. He scored a 699 to BOR's 585 for the first show (BOR is on tape, I believe Keithy is live). However, in the next viewing of their shows, Keithy scored a 245 while BOR scored a 425 in that demo.

I'm sure you can do the math.

Once again, Keith "Czechoslovakia" Olbermann expresses his opinion as if it were fact. When talking to Arianna Huffington, he said that Bush's presidency was decided by the courts, the same old crap from the left.

Some facts for Keithy:

The Court ruled on two issues:

The State of Florida did not have to extend the recount time past the mandated schedule. Also, the State of Florida could not change the vote rules which had been already established.

Right or wrong, that's what they decided. they did not "choose" bush.

However, if the court had ruled the opposite way on both issues, its a moot point as the recount done later by the conglomeration of newspapers shows Bush winning in every type of recount except for one, which had him losing by only a couple of votes.

If Gore had his way completely with the recount, the vote still would have gone Bush's way.

But of course, Keithy doesn't let facts get in his way.

Re: All HD all the time

That sounds great and all, but I just looked at FNCHD and O'Reilly, their flagship program, is still in what most call fake HD.

True HD takes the whole screen at 16x9. FNCHD currently upconverts the SD 4x3 via pixel interpolation and ends up with a 4x3 image with graphical filler to compensate for the extra space.

I want my Megyn and Heather in true HD, and I hope FNC actually broadcasts in true HD instead of fake HD when they deploy their HD only option.

This sounds very much like FNC are conning their subscribers with fake HD.
I mean...You wouldn't buy a bottle of Theakston's only to find it contains best bitter...You'd pipe up and complain....FNC appear to be running fast and lose with their customers over their HD offerings.

While I'd be pissed at some fake Old Peculier or Newcastle, I can't agree that FNC is losing any customers (viewers). If you have HD, you already know that many of the HD channel shows are upconverted.

Off topic big time. Am I the only one who witnessed the following? Wolf Blitzer sat down with John King on the "Situation Room" today to discuss King's new job as host of Sundays "Late Edition". It immediately became clear that King was wearing a stud in his left earlobe. A FRIGGEN EARRING. I squinted my eyes, dusted off the TV screen and it was still there.
This is really bothersome to me. I always hated that Ed Bradley wore an earring while delivering the "news". It diminshes the message as well as the messenger. You might as well be wearing a button that says "I'm a sexy, sexy guy."
I ask again, am I the only one who noticed this? I wonder if there is a screen capture available.
