'What Was the Speaker Thinking?'

J$P Audio! Karl Rove is not pleased with today's events:

From The John Gibson Show, September 29 2008

Right on Karl Rove. You can't spit in someone's face like the Democrats did to the Republicans all last week and then like Botox Nan did today and expect anything else.

The American people should be able to believe this is truly an emergency and well advised and they can't believe that while party politics are being played.

Karl Rove tells it like it is when it comes to the vote by the house. They try to blame Bush but voters don't remember how it started during Clinton term. And now The Dems know that the way to hurt the chance for McCain to win they make it as though republicans don't care enough for main street.

Rove repeated several of these points on BOR tonight, although this recording goes into much greater detail about the inside politics.

Howdy.

I found your video on You Tube and have linked you from my blog. I cannot make trackbacks work.

I'm not sure just what Pelosi or the Democrats are attempting to do here. It's clumsy, poorly thought out, and the execution has been marked by a breathtaking arrogance that should offend all who witness it.

Then again, it is the Reid and Pelosi show, with the Empty Suit for comic relief.

Curious, I see all this back and forth about whether you are a Republican. Just for fun I Googled what I believe to be your name, Mark Koldys, and found an article with the following quote:

"Mark Koldys, the Wayne County prosecutor who led Ronald Reagan's campaigns in Detroit in 1980 and 1984, endorsed Mr. Paul last week."

Are you that M. Koldys or a different one?

That was me. Same guy! I don't recall endorsing Ron Paul, though. But it's been a while.

Those were the days. As I recall, David Brock was a Republican then too. Small world.

Article also said,

"Mr. Koldys is chairman of the Michigan Conservative Union, the largest conservative organization in the state."

O.K., Do you admit to being a conservative currently, if not a Republican?

Irrelevant?

It seems quite natural to me that anyone who defends Fox News must be conservative and favor Republican politics over Democratic politics.

It also seems quite natural to me that given your background, and without a clear statement from you on what your politics are, your defense of Fox News and dislike for KO must be grounded in your politics.

While I realize many Democrats watch Fox News too, my opinion is that they do so for entertainment value and not because they necessarily believe Fox News is fair and balanced.

Some of us don't appreciate liars.

On another note. Why do olbermann/madow refuse to mention that 97 democrats voted against the bail out? Voting no were 95 Democrats and 133 Republicans. Do the MOST uninformed people on he planet watch and believe that crap, or what? THose hacks have the nerve to put the blame on 12 Republicans?

O.K. I agree that facts speak for themselves, but what constitutes bias is subjective.

I hoped to come full circle and ask you about these charges of lying and whether you believe Fox News demonstrates conservative bias (not just relative to MSNBC) but I am out gas.

Good Night.

I tend to agree with that. Which is why I tend to discuss facts more and subjective notions of bias less.

By the way, the msg at 11:48 pm was allowed through this one time as a special exception to the rules. I wanted regulars here to see the sort of stuff that I'm constantly screening out. Language, name calling, and, of course, galloping stupidity. You won't be hearing from him again for quite a while. (It was, as you may have guessed, our pal Patrick, who likes to complain that all he wants to do is have a civilized debate.)

Just because someone has a party affiliation doesn't mean they still cant be objective in their reporting. Things that will always be constant however, left wing loons will always make a stink about about "Fix News" (they been on the air how long and it took them how long to come up with that clever lil tidbit? brilliant) Could it be that the left wing crap has been shoved down our throats for so long that Fox's fair and balanced makes it seem to them(the loons) to be far right, when in actuality, it is right down the center? Finally, Thanks to talk radio, Fox News and the Internet, I can get the info i need to make an intelligent, informed decision and the days of taking the network left leaning news suppository is OVER

We all really need to know what party johnny affiliates himself with, because if he's a republican, we all know we have to hate on him and his site but if he's a democrat, we have to agree with him even if he's a liar. If we don't know what party he's with, we're too dim to know how to handle him!

The reason that Fox looks like they lean right to the libs is because they compare it to MSNBC and CNN. CNN leans left, and MSNBC is off the chart left. Therefore (in their minds) Fox must be right. Fox is the MOST honest news on TV. nuff said.

Patrick, with your standard, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and Bill Clinton are lawyers and spend their lives spinning and watching FNC too.

I don't know why they bother.

It's not like they haven't already reached the brilliantly logical conclusion that since Johnny has a blog about FNC, he therefore harbors "extreme right wing views".

I'd be interested in knowing what they define extreme right wing views as being, which ones FNC proliferates, let alone whether Johnny shares them.

If it's things like gun control, referencing info on intelligent design in schools, and allowing prayer in schools, being against marriage for homosexuals (Kerry, Obama, and both Clintons didn't support it either)-- you're going to have label a majority of the public as being extremist.

Even with the issue of abortion law, while the public may be for keeping the practice legal, the majority still wants restrictions placed on it as to the gestational age of the fetus.

Again, if these are the issues that constitute what's extreme or not, I have still never heard FNC advocate for any of them. However, they have allowed guests to argue on behalf of these views (along with opponents of them) and they haven't treated these guests as though they were ignorant pariahs.

It's THAT action alone that constitutes blasphemy to many of our left-wing friends here, who will readily agree that Dem national candidates must hide their real views on such things in order to get elected WHILE simultaneously they're calling YOU an extremist.

More pertinent to the discussion, I've been reading Johnny's stuff since early 2004, and I don't know were he stands on ANY of these issues. NOT ONE. He's never argued either way.

It gets a little complicated when you're dealing with these idiots. Not only do you have to take under consideration the fact that "extreme right wing views" is some nebulous term of their's, you also must consider that MANY MANY of their views are not at all mainstream.

Even more intellectually insulting, you also have to join them a logical misstep by assuming that every FNC watcher shares all or any of these sentiments (I sure don't) and so therefore does Johnny.

Again, with reasoning abilities like this, they only bother to argue in order to merely BE argumentative... They've long ago surrendered to the most low rent sort of intellectual habits.

It doesn't matter if Johnny Dollar is a right-winger or not. Is it reflected in his moderation? I don't think so.

My gut tells me he is one of those mainstream, typical conservative guys like Reagan or Rush.
