I accidentally commented to links in this thread in yesterday's thread. So, I'll copy and paste them here:
Jake Tapper is an excellent reporter.
I try to like the "F&F" weekend crew, particularly Clayton, Dave, and to some extent Ainsley, but it's so hard. What apparently happened this morning made it even more difficult. But I guess they'll just have to be the weekend morning team that FNC viewers love to hate.

And he's right at home over there. Unfortunately, I get the feeling an infiltration by him is imminent, merely for mentioning him here.

Does he come here as 'repub killa' or am I wrong? His posts are always deleted for language before I get a chance to see them....They're usually good for a laugh, though.

So what did CNN's Gary Tuckman say about Clay County, KY that was so condescending? Cable Game did not elaborate.

Is that the right link for the "Eric Burns" story... I didn't see his name anywhere. Did I miss something, or is that a different article?

He shows up midway through:
>Olbermann's success has had a spillover effect on the network, said Eric Burns, an ex-NBC News correspondent and former host of "Fox News Watch" on Fox News Channel.
"He has made, just in terms of general image, MSNBC and by implication NBC (appear) much more liberal than it really is," Burns said.<
What is Eric doing these days?
In the "Oblivious Olbermann" link, couldn't the poster have the American version of "The Simpsons"? The voices and "Haw haw!"s just don't sound the same in another language.

Hah! Who is this Casey Stegall guy doing the mid-program news update on Hannity's America? He's new, but might not survive his blunder just now of "Hannity America'ss continues right now..."

Hey Fox Fan, Casey Stegall's there because Suzanne Sena's on vacation. He's one of the reporters over at FNC's LA bureau.

I bet the CNN producers got aroused when that woman said that women should be at home.. they were like 'YES.. WE GOT OUR QUOTE"

Johnny:
Anyway you can get the Fox Folks to draw attention to this video of Obama showing off his package (in his pants) on an airplane to the women of the press covering him.

Heh. There are now dozens of blogs claiming it's Bill Hemmer! This shows 1. how mindlessly this stuff is spread around, and B. how these people are so ignorant of Fox News that they don't even know who is who. This would be like looking at a CNN clip with Lou Dobbs and thinking it was Larry King. They never watch, they only see what the blogs clip out, and so they'll actually believe it's Hemmer.

I meant to say "It wasn't Hemmer." And it wasn't...unless he made himself shorter, changed his voice and appearance, and went back to wearing glasses.
By the way, if you want to put text in bold, use the codes < b> and < /b>. Put what you want in bold inbetween the two codes. The space in the codes is only to use in this comment; no space otherwise.
Italics are < i> and < /i>.
Now, back to the Open Thread.

Yes, it was Obama. It's not every day that the press gets to see a presidential candidate in jeans...unless I haven't been paying enough attention lately.
In a matter that relates to the future of a cable news show segment, Mary Katharine Ham announced Friday that she is leaving Townhall to become the online editor "The Washington Examiner" soon-to-launch website: dcexaminer.com. That ends her blog and could very well end the run of "Policing the 'Net" on "The Factor." It'll go the way of "The [Laurie] Dhue Point," "Mondays with Michelle [Malkin] and Kirsten [Powers]," and the Kirsten Powers/Margaret Hoover segment, never to be heard from again with no sendoff.

A note about Trotta's comment: I think it was a tasteless comment. An apology would be nice. However, I would pass this note to the Daily Kossacks: When all of you demand that Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy both be arrested for their assassination comments they have both spewed on their shows, then you might have some moral high ground to go after Trotta's comment. Until then, shut your pie holes.

Why would Lou even invite a Media Matters guy on his show?
This isn't exactly a cable news topic, but WABC-TV finally updated their "Eyewitness News" graphics package today. It seemed like they had the same graphics for almost a decade. Unfortunately, they still don't use HD video in their sports highlights.
I get the feeling that deep down, Rachel Sklar loves the current state of (MS)NBC. She's in line with their ideology after all.

Thanks for the update, Mike.
And to olbysucks: Chill, pal. I agree with you. I know the radical left eats up this "kill Bush" garbage. That reinforces my point about what total hypocrites they are.
By the way, I tried to point out this inconsistency over at News poodles, and the rat terriers censored the post.
