McCaughey just dropped a couple of smart bombs on Messy Bessy and her head head-case.

Olby may have chosen the wrong 8pm cable news host needing to make a retraction or face some lawyers.

B. McC is not going anywhere.

Keith Olbermann has once again showed himself as the dishonest, arrogant fool.

What a bunch of baloney he threw at Dr. McCaughey the other night. His attempt to tarnish her reputation and diminish her well supported opinion, only because he has a political agenda to meet on COUNTDOWN, is another black mark on the ever diminishing NBC NEWS.

I feel bad for Bristol. I bet her mother has been so controlling! She does'nt even agree with her mothers way of thinking! For her to feel that uncomfortable to talk with her mom says alot! Sarah cares too much about her appearance to the public! At least Bristol spoke the way she feels about abstinence, which Im sure her mother let her have it afterwards.

When O'reilly was talking about the 13 years old who fathered a child over here in the Uk last night...Why didn't he inform his audience that the tabloid paper in question was non other than The Sun...Another one of News Corps. quality publications. The video he aired seemed to be stretch so The Sun logo didn't appear.
He also didn't mention that Alfie may not be the father....Apparently there are at least 2 others contesting his claim....DNA test are under way.

I'm sure that someone will get right on that for you, Haggis.

We'll cross our fingers that the video of the O'Reilly segment can be dug up and meticulously perused from start to finish.

Of course someone will have to find a screen shot of the issue of The Sun that is in question.

Also needed will be a few hours of scrutinizing for any similarities between the O'Reilly's footage and The Sun article, with some technical enhancements to detect for any "stretching" of the picture and blocking of The Sun logo.

Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long while heaven and earth is moved to prove you wrong. Perhaps as soon as tomorrow night you'll be saying that you're sorry for the misunderstanding and "never mind".

Funny Haggis, I first read about the Bar Mitzvah Dad at a Reuter's link.

http://www.reuters.com/article/lifestyleMolt/idUSTRE51C4JR20090213

That source seemed to have everything that nasty "tabloid" had except pictures of the cuties.

I suppose "tabloid" journalism is in the eye of the beholder. The story seems unseemly to me, but those covering it, in their pursuit of readership/viewership in our current climate of voyeurism and unsatieted curiosity, make their choices....some are criticized, some are not.

It certainly is. These threads contain multiple examples of Haggie singing the praises of Nancy Grace for reporting important news every night. I think that was right around the time he said 'Glenn Beck' was going to sink "without a trace".

The Sun had the exclusive on the story...They paid for the it....Bill was outraged that Alfie had just done it for the fame....But the very organisation Bill works for...were the very people who gave him the fame.

Come on johnny....I never sang the praises for her reporting....I think you'll find I was talking about her high ratings...She did whack Bill in the ratings (demo) for a good week or so.

CNBC were having a laugh with him after the end of an interview....At that time he wasn't accused of anything.

So, let me get your logic straight Haggis. I, as a news consumer, come upon an AP, NYT, MSNBC, CNN, or a Reuters article disseminating the "tabloid" story and should only think Rupert Murdoch and his minions are to blame for them publishing such trash? Why? Because they paid for the exclusive?

The taint of poor journalistic standards knows no stranger in the current world.....ESPECIALLY among the cabliers. That is the huge log in the eye of the left in America....to cry about ideological bias or tabloid standards at FNC/News Corp with such verosity while the networks and CNN commit just as much silliness.

Those nasty News Corp guys!

Shame on them for forcing those hundred of thousands of normally good, respectable and civilized Britannic citizens to read THE SUN,

for forcing those wire services to cover the story (even asking prominent pols in Great Britain about the societal implications of a 13 yo father changing poopy diapers!),

for forcing such reputable and unbiased organizations like THE NY TIMES, CNN, NBC NEWS, ABC NEWS, CBS NEWS and the like (who NEVER pay for stories...mmmm), to also cover the juicy tidbit,

for forcing some publisher to likely spend millions for the rights,

for forcing some ethical and compassionite liberal corporation who owns a movie studio to spend millions for the rights (perhaps it will be NBC NEWS' parent, GE/UNIVERSAL?)......

And one of those News Corp nasties, poor ol Billo (the great and powerful), needs to remember to site the original payor or he has committed journalistic malpractice!

Sorry Haggis....FAME is granted by us all....If there is little to no consumption of such tripe, there will be no fame.

I completely disagree that he is a "loon". Yes, my state ought to be run out of the union.

Right now, when people are hurting badly, our government wants to increase gas taxes, double the car tax, and place a new tax on state income tax. Whatever you owe in state income tax, they want you to pay more than a 2% tax on that tax. Next, they'll be asking for a tax on the tax on the tax on the tax.

Not that long ago, San Francisco tried to adopt a new plan giving homeless portable credit card swipers, so that people can use their credit cards to give handouts to the beggars.

Not that long ago, several of our state democrat politicians fought to create a law allowing people to keep a maximum of 100 items of child pornography on their computers. Thankfully, they failed.

I could keep going with this list.
