I voted "not this year" in the poll because I'm a pessimist. I think he lied to BOR's face in Nashua, NH, in January and I think he lied to "F&F" last Monday. He and his campaign hate BOR because they're all made up of far-left partisans. He has a better chance of appearing on Merkle's show four times before he ever appears on "The Factor."
As usual, I hope I'm wrong. Good luck to the rest of you in the poll vote.
I agree with the Jennifer Locke firing qualifying as "What's Not." What people at FNC have screwed up and not been fired? It's probably Courtney Friel or anyone associated with "F&F Weekend." Right?
Peter Barnes moving [back] to Washington is not exile. He needs to be closer to his family.
I won't bother with the NYTimes [hit]piece on Rove.
I'm going to bed at some point tonight. Hopefully, I won't be the only person commenting like I was over the weekend.

After primaries. I think he has to. Pandering to the far left won't put him in the big house. Not going on O'Reilly (#1) is pandering to the far left.

I hope he doesn't go on O'Reilly (#1) because I think it will help him. He does't have the courage to go on O'Reilly (#1) in the blind. Questions will be given in advance and obama will put his tap dancing shoes on. It will rate higher than Hillary, but, will be much of the same. That's my '2 cents.'

Did we mention "The Factor" is #1?
"After the primary." (To BOR on 1/5 in Nashua, NH.) = ObamaLie
"We'll work it in." (To "F&F" on 5/5.) = ObamaLie
Again, sorry to be so pessimistic.

Is it me....or was the NYT article on FBN filled with snarky remarks and alot of seething.

I know its too much to ask for the NYT to just report.....Im sure the letters F-O-X just get them seeing red.

As for Obama appearing on The Factor.....Ditto Mike's remarks.

I voted "Not this year" mainly because there isn't any "When hell freezes over" choice.

OS is right; questions submitted in advance. O'Reilly would never go for that.

In an article discussing the bias of Rove and his suitability to work in the media b/c of that bias this little gem appeared:

"Mr. Meacham said Mr. Rove had been received surprisingly well in the magazine’s newsroom, where he has been a reliable colleague who files his articles on time and works diligently with fact checkers.

“After one editor dealt with him,” Mr. Meacham said, “the editor called me and said, ‘This just complicated my world view. I may like Karl Rove.’ ”

Doncha just love it?

HSUK... my father just send me that video (from AOL... not Huff&Puff).

It is pretty funny... although (and I say this as someone who has worked in television for almost 12 years now), not uncommon.

But pretty funny. If I were O'Reilly, I would show that on the show tonight, call himself a "pinhead" and have a good laugh.

I must say that took me aback. I have sometimes seen people behaving like that but usually over something very personal and involving important relationships and perceived, rightly or not, wrongs. I have also sometimes seen behavior such as that from people who have serious emotional and mental health issues. I have never seen it, though, insuch a context.

Chalk up the Washington Post piece about former political operatives as commentors to the Clinton and Obama dynamics. If those two were running against each other, the WP piece would have been nothing but a brief satirical diss on FNC for hiring Rove.

Since the Clinton is now in the mix against the Obamessiah, it's time to trot a piece that includes Stephanopolus, Begala, and Carville. Where have you been WP, those guys have been cable analysts forevah....

No mention of Chris Matthews or NBC D.C. Bureau Chief Tim Russert, having seamlessly gone from Democrat staffer to news anchor/analysts YEARS ago. They are both in the tank for Obama...

Grammie... I think things like this happen. But in television... someone's probably recording.

I know I've snapped and shouted at another employee. Nobody recorded it, but it sure got around work quickly. About 15 minutes later, I had about 10 people asking what the hell happened, and wishing they could have seen it (I don't usually lose my temper).

In high school, I remember the teacher was being particularly tough on one student who was in the midst of directing a live program (we had a local access station). He snapped in the middle of the program, and handed the teacher his headset, and told him if he thought he could do that job any better, than do it! And then walked out.

TV is stressful... there's a lot of money on the line. One mistake can be millions down the drain! I know... I've been there! So something like this is really just par for the course.

But we all make friends at the end of the day... or get fired. Either way, it happens.

___________

As for Olbermann... he's one to talk. I remember hearing from an MSNBC employee I once worked with, that after the Karma Bites story came out, someone had posted copies of the story over all the bathroom, so everyone could see it. KO wasn't too happy about that.

Besides, isn't this a man who's known for burning every bridge he's ever crossed? They wouldn’t even let him back for an ESPN reunion, because of the "damage" he would cause. I don't think he has much to laugh about. Not that he won't... but he shouldn't.

Well CBS lawyers have moved quickly to get the Bill video taken down. Of course Olby may have already downloaded it, but I wonder if his envy of O'Reilly is so great that he will violate copyright to show it. Yes it's copyright violation whether it's a blog, youtube, or a newscast. In fact it's more blatant because the clip that was shown is unpublished. It was not part of what was broadcast. So anyone who actually hosts it or broadcasts it could be charged with a copyright violation.

Linking to it is not a violation since a link is nothing different from someone pointing and saying, look at that. You could point to a bank robbery but that wouldn't make you a bank robber.

At first I wasn't going to link to it, but it is a kind of sexy cable news related story and it was hard to ignore. I figured despite the questionable ethics fairness required that I not ignore it.

You were probably banned because you were caught lying.

Somebody over there accused you of inciting people here to go over to Newshounds to start trouble. You denied it several times. However, this showed up,

And sure enough, shortly thereafter, at least 3 of the regulars went over there to start trouble.

P.S. I find it very hard to believe that a person who repeatedly claims to be a Gay Female to sit there and defend O'Reilly. The same Guy that says Gays should keep it to themselves and be quiet about it and Gay is something you do, not something you are. Nobody is buying that either.

With that being said, It really isn't in my nature to go on places to start trouble or be a pain in the ass. However, Tony's poor poor pitiful me act needed responding to.

Well, wouldn't "starting trouble" be dependent upon how fuses were lit?...

If people are going over there to personally insult the News Hounds about ...saaaayyyyy....how their sexuality lines up with their political views...or are using or encouraging others to use foul and abusive language, or engaging in troll strategies (such as sock puppeting), or endlessly decrying and insulting the purpose of the site, etc, THAT should indeed be contrasted from "lighting fuses" by merely defending Fox from claims made on the site.

Overall, though I do think the argument of "free speech" when you're talking about a blogsite makes as much sense as insisting that it's your "right" in someone's home.

If your voice box works, you can say what you wish in someone's living room. However, the host has a perfect right to throw you butt out too.

You are then free to complain about the intolerance of your host.. out on the sidewalk...

Gen Goat: You can spin all that you want. When I did a cut and past of my TRUE post and went to put it on Newshounds to rebut what they claimed I found that I was banned. The Mod claimed that I had some sort of a contest to see how fast my posts would be deleted, however, the post that they used as 'proof" did not contain that statement. They once again debated what they WISH that I had said. I DID say that it was fun to go over there and light the fuses and I admit that. That is because people over there poop themselves when anyone disagrees.

lastly, as I have said, i am a gay female. I NEVER claimed to be black, however, I read as recently as tonight that I had in fact made that claim. Although I dont know why my race should matter, for some reason the cowards on Newshounds made it into an issue. And its strange that I am banned over, yet you come over here to talk about me.
