Patricia didn't bring this up, but this afternoon I heard Shep state that Romney launched a "vicious" verbal attack on McCain. Of course Shep offered no example of this; this is apparently just part of Fox and their defense of their new favorite candidate.
It was the McCain camp who interjected Bob Dole into this controversy, and then leaked the letter to Politico (Rush said he was NOT the source; he thought the letter was to remain private). And then of course McCain's week long tirade taking Romney's "Iraq timetable" remarks out of context. Everyone in the world thought McCain was lying about that!
McCain is the vicious guy here, not Romney. If Shep has something to complain about re: Romney, he should tell us specifically what he is speaking of.

Mr. Smith is not one of my favorite media personalities, but that is solely for stylistic reasons. I believe my any standards, he is reasonably objective in his reporting. At FNC, he is the only objective reporter.
