I don't get the outrage from gay folks over the Rick Warren selection.

Obama isn't for redefining marriage to include same sex couples either.

I don't believe Joe's tirade against the DC hotel where Mika was staying when some man made her an offer she couldn't refuse....was a calculated PR move (though I agree with analysts that it is the outcome).

Joe and company voiced the genuine concern and outrage that friends do in such situations.

I once had my shoulder and arm grabbed by a crazy and angry homeless man (so hard it broke my bra strap and I had to wear a sling for three weeks), while doing some volunteer work.

Everyone I knew was upset about it and asked if I was "okay" for months. Men in particular voiced "strong" feelings about the incident, that's a normal male response, I think.

Again, I don't think any of the focus of the show on the incident is calculated for publicity.

Hey johnny- I love the holiday background! It's festive, all-inclusive, accepting of diversity, PC, and unoffensive to minority religions in our holiday season.

Happy holidays everyone!

I agree with FF...The festive background looks good Johnny...An old Atheist like me can't find anything to complain about there

I'm confused about this....Over at MSNBC there is a huge Christmas tree (outside) behind Keith...But over at the Christmas warrior Channel I've yet to see any sign of a tree...What give?

uhhh...because their headquarters aren't at the office complex known as Rockefeller Center...

Yes, I suppose Keith shows his holiday spirit by not shuttering a window...

Johnny, I have a "peculiar" question too.

Why are trolls so often atheists?

It gives decent atheists a bad name...

Give me an example of when the Fox News Channel has taken a position being a Christmas warrior. Read what I wrote carefully and don't answer something I didn't ask.

Your right with your 1st observation....The tree is so big it has to go outside.
Bill is the "war on Christmas" warrior agreed? I just find it strange he has no Christmas tree on his set....That's all....I really only meant the original post as a light hearted comment....I didn't expect a huge debate over it.

It's a personal observation based on long experience with dim-witted trolls here and at Olbermann Watch.

Pew hasn't done a study on those eternal adolescents of the Fox-grudging/blog site troll variety.

If they commence, be sure to contact them with your personal story.

Congratulations to Fox News for being the #1 Cable Rated News Network for seven consecutive years.

That's a terrific accomplishment. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the only other cable news network that has ever been able to accomplish that feat is CNN, but they could only do it when they were the only news network!

Some interesting tidbits from the article:

"While broadcast networks saw little growth (ABC’s Nightline and NBC’s Nightly News were exceptions), cable was up double- and triple-digits in viewer totals."

"Fox News was up 41% in total viewers, averaging just over 2 million viewers. In news’ target demographic of 25- to 54-year-olds, the network averaged 502,000 viewers, a gain of 43%."

Overall cable rankings:

Fox News #3
CNN #10

and in cartoon channel territory,
MSNBC is #22

"In the demo, MSNBC averaged 368,000 viewers, a gain of 83%."

Wow, they had to gain 83% but their demo is still miles behind fox which has 35-40% more.

Each network has shown impressive gains, but Fox remains the leader.

Interesting that MSNBC actually started before Fox by a short-time. They have the opportunity to continue to look up to Fox and, perhaps one day, MSNBC will learn how to do it right.

America has spoken and we've chosen Fox as our Cable News Network.

Well, it looks like O'Reilly won't be on, so another night of Maddow, for me.

Looking on the Alan Colmes Website, I saw the First Two Videos on that site, none of them were from FOX. I really wonder why Alan Colmes doesn't use FOX News footage, instead what I saw was MSNBC, NBC, BBC News, and CNN, no FOX News...

And MSNBC for 15 cents, what a great investment, but I do the Dish Network "secret," so sorry MSNBC, you are not getting my 15 cents.

Chippy - I believe that you, besides being a liar with intentions to stir up tons of negativity, are also lazy. Can't you look things up for yourself?

Surf this site and you will find the polls that prove you wrong, regarding MSNBC vs. Fox coverage of Obama and McCain. If you could force yourself to use even just a little critical thinking skills, you would find out why a large percentage of Fox Viewers voted for Obama. Then, do a little reading and find out why many republicans chose not to vote for McCain.

I'm not lifting a finger to help you. You've repeatedly avoided answering many direct questions that I and other posters have asked you.

No one, and I mean no one (and especially me) would ever dare to accuse you of being bright.

Aeris, it totally understandable why Alan doesn't us Fox footage....He wants to give his punters good accurate information...So hence no Fox.

Considering that the unit cost on DISH is 75¢, I am shocked that MSNBC is as high as it is at 15¢. Considering how unpopular the channel is, it is probably better priced around 3¢. 4¢ is they promise to develop original programming.
