A nice write-up in the "establishment" paper of record, even if their shrinking numbers of readers could not care less about what many Americans are thinking and watching.
The stats are tremendous. Over a million viewers at any given time for FNC, DOUBLE that of MSNBC and CNN.
The O'Reilly Q&A provides more redmeat for the left's attack on the IT HAPPENED TO ALEXA FOUNDATION. U must agree with the difference between his dealing with the situation and Olbermann's personal attacks....
"There is no feud. I have never mentioned the mans (Olbermann's) name in my life and will never mention it. There is no feud. Theres no nemesis. All there is coming out of NBC are attacks on the Fox News Channel. [Jeff] Zucker allows it to happen. All we do is point out what they do. We dont attack them personally. So theres no feud. Thats inaccurate. Thats the way the media wants to play it."
###
Aw, poor Olbermann still is not getting the results he wants for the continuing personal attacks....What a loser.
O'Reilly does stick to the issues while Olbermann only engages is immature and hateful personal attacks.
The irresponsible way the left handled the charity fund raiser and their attempt with the false outrage over Terkel's interview was also pathetic.

From THR.com interview with O'Reilly:
THR: What do you think of Keith Olbermann?
O'Reilly: We win that time slot by an enormous amount, so I don't need to think about him.
LOL! The ultimate put down, stated so simply, so eloquently. Now, we know why Olbermann reacts to O'Reilly. He has too. Putz.
Thanks for that link $. It made my day!

Re: O'Reilly Q&A: NBC lied.
This is interesting:
Amanda Terkel from Think Progress [who wrote the initial blog about OReillys keynote at the It Happened to Alexa Foundation] said she felt threatened by your producer.
Did you see the clip?
I did.
Did she look threatened to you?
Not really
See, sometimes youve got to go with what you see.
She also said you didnt invite her on The OReilly Factor.
We contacted that Website. We heard nothing.

I hope FOX Nation has good moderators.
Here's just a FRACTION of the troll names Patsy used on OW. (I have more that Bob exposed.)
Patsy and other trolls at OW routinely stole people's screen names and wrote the most hideous stuff under them. They routinely utlilized strawman sockpuppets, as well, in order to impugn their opposition.
They intentionally turned the site into a cesspool, with obscenities and obscene comments about other posters.
It's particularly ironic to see Patsy calling other people troll at NH and cajoling Ellen to ban them.
Currently, he's blaming andy racist posts posted there on Bob Cox and Johnny...
You can't get any more screwed up than this guy. Unless of course, you're Patrick.

That was a good profile article on Beck in the NY Times. No name calling. No smears. No personal attacks.
Whether you like him or not he pretty much tells it like it is. And I liked his response to Maher for his idiotic remarks in attempting to link Beck with Tim McVeigh.

The threshold questions is: Did BOR and his waterboys attempt to harass and intimidate Ms. Terkel? I don't see how that can be answered any way but "yes". That makes it a ethical breach. Then you can ask all of the diversionary questions, and you can answer them anyway you want to. You're considering the affirmative defenses before you resolve the primary case.

Moving the goal posts? You people already tried and convicted Bill O'Reilly of personally harassing and stalking terkel. Now, it's "attempted?" That's a little ambiguous isn't it? Dishonest, too?

Pat, here is the definition of stalking,
the act or crime of willfully and repeatedly following or harassing another person in circumstances that would cause a reasonable person to fear injury or death esp. because of express or implied threats.
She didn't appear to be in fear of injury or death.

And it wasn't 'repeated' either. I'm surprised how many people don't realize that 'repeated' is the heart of the act of stalking, and one reason why no reporter I know of has ever been charged with 'stalking' based on doing an ambush interview. Until O'Reilly of course. The rules are different when it's O'Reilly.

Since when is it an ethical breach for a camera crew to put someone on the spot, or to scout them out?
This woman had publicly written an allegation against O'Reilly. It is not "harassment" to ask her to publicly explain, what she had publicly written, merely because she's doing it unprepared and on camera.
Which is worse:
Showing up with a camera to ask someone to explain what they have said about you, OR going on national television, implying that they have committed fraud, AND NOT allowing them the opportunity to defend themselves against your charge?
From the Red State interview with Dan Cooper:
Its no small thing, this smear. Word spread fast on left blogs and left tweets that the Olbermann account was a fake. Who is Dan Cooper and why is he impersonating Olbermann? The idea that Fox News was smearing Olbermann through a fake Twitter account was too salacious not to repeat across the web. I asked Dan, considering his career is in media, whether he was suffering any harmful fallout:
It is extremely damaging, both to my business and emotional state. Never in my life have I been accused of shoddy journalism. Let alone of such activity as violating the rules of a web site, as happened here. Far more important, I am at a critical point in the launching of a new media venture, and taking the time to deal with Keith Olbermanns insanity and NBCs lack of ethics and irresponsibility has cost me valuable time and energy.I do not, and have never, colluded with Fox News. I have never impersonated Keith Olbermann.
(emphasis mine)
Thanks Redstate for allowing Dan Cooper to defend himself!
Hope everyone who watched Countdown that night, reads your blog!...

Thanks, Johnny, for letting me post AAP's (aka Patsy) troll names in regard to the comment board for FOX Nation and Fox Haters.
I've published more at Olbermann Watch (in the "Olbermann Smear of Twitter and Fox: It Was Worse Than You Thought!" thread), because the text is more amenable to that site (the info came from a letter posted there by owner Bob Cox posted) and I've had trouble with haloscan today.
I would like to urge everyone to go look at the list to get a glimmer into the psyche of Patsy and his crew.

Have any of you passed by the Kennel and checked out the one trick pony Patsy's laugable defense and justification for his repulsive sewer rat behavior? Do give it a few moments.
It is a glimpse into virtual paranoid self delusion. It wasn't sweet little Patsy's fault, of course. He was forced into by his self righteous crusade to save the world from Johnny and Bob Cox.
I've often wondered how some of these people manage to live with themselves. Now Patdy gives me the how. No matter what you do you do it to purify society from all those evil and nasty Repubs.

The FNC RED EYE controversy last week is still fresh in my mind, so....
Are any of the usual Nellie Olsens of the blogosphere calling for boycotts, firings, apologies or seppuku for leftist Bill Maher after this one?......
"Forget about bringing the troops home from Iraq. We need to get the troops home from World War II. Can anybody tell me why, in 2009, we still have more than 50,000 troops in Germany and 30,000 in Japan? At some point, these people are going to have to learn to rape themselves."

I wouldn't be surprised if there are Canadian troops in Japan and in Germany as a part of a NATO presence there.

I never used the word "stalking" and I never said it fits the legal definition of stalking. My comments went to an ethical lapse, not the violation of stalking laws.
The Van Susteren deal is more interesting. I think she may believe she's toast whether she is or not. She is really out there thrashing for sensational stories of any sort often with the flimsiest of pretense and she has become very defensive.
We know there is nothing BOR can do that will get him in any hot water with Ailes. Van Susteren is a different story, I suspect.

Speaking of Jeff Bercovici, he took potshots at the Fox Nation. He does have a point, though. The comments, at least from the Ayers link, were mostly from the right. But the fringes seem like the only ones that ever comment at FOXNews.com and now Fox Nation. The links, however, are bipartisan. Last I checked, The Hill was pretty balanced.

Does that mean he had his clown nose on the front of his face? Is that the analogy you're using? Put the clown nose on the front...... make jokes.
Turn clown nose to the back of the head and "the comedian" can claim to be a financial expert on one night and claim to be a foreign relations expert the next, right?

Stalking and harrassment allegations..
Belittling every insignoficant move of the congressional republicans....
Even kissing Dr. Dean's or David Axelrod's respective arses....
I expect some comments, perhaps even a diary, on kos shortly.

Mr. Sucks,
I'm here tonight to speak out against the red fox's red eyes being made fun of and joked about, whether it's a Canadian fox or an American fox. I'm outraged commedians think they can get away with ridiculing these poor, suffering, cute as buttons little creatures just to get a laugh. I mean, why? Foxes have feelings, too.
Now about those clown noises. What other part of the face would clown noises be than the front. I mean, really, has anyone ever seen the back of a face? Huh?

The line ""Griffin says now that the repeat (CD w/KO) is doing so well in the ratings it would take something special to dislodge it," produced various ideas in my old, but still fully fertile mind, of numerious "somethings special" that could be used to "dislodge" the Great and Powerful Olby Oz.
I refrained from posting my ideas in order to prevent certain cretins (you know who you are) from accusing me of making idol threats.
