Here's the FOXNews.com link to the same "Policing the 'Net" video without the Hot Air anti-BOR snark, but also unfortunately without the "meltdown quip":

Ms Amanpour is truly an admirable woman.I have seen her work for years, and she has always impressed me as a fearless journalist with a moderate perspective and a real interest in fostering international understanding. Our nation and the world would be a better place if there were more like her.

Notveryhow, you couldn't have said anything less likely to gather a consensus at this site. "International understanding"? They'll all think that means adding snails and Mogen David concord to he menu at the Chat 'n Chew. There will be an uproar. Grammie will drive all the way across Gopher Gultch gathering up every semi-literate, semi-sober hillbilly she can find, loading them into her Desoto and heading to the General Store to get onto the internets. You may respect Ms. Amanpour, and I may as well. This is Doocy/Carlson crowd, however. If any of them had lapels, they'd have Stars and Bars pins on them and go window shopping at Wal-Mart.

Um, I'm not sure what the purpose of that comment is, but I don't like it. You want to rave about Amanpour, have at it. But insulting people who read this site? Well, I'm just not in the mood to tolerate that kind of juvenile drivel today, so be warned.

I have no idea was "Amanpour Fan" is trying to say... except to define "elitism."

To me, this is a big problem in the country today. There are whole groups of people who really look down on southern people, thinking they're all a bunch of uncultured hicks. The fact is, it's just another form of bigotry (you wouldn't slam someone else's culture, would you?), but it seems to acceptable in certain circles.

Oh, and for the record... I have only ever lived in three states... New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. And furthermore, I don't recall Mogen David being a sign of the "upper class"... especially since it's so very sweet... and most popularly known as fortified wine (MD 20/20, aka Mad Dog 20/20), and a staple of the poor drunk college kid. So I don't know what you're talking about.

I have read several references here to some sort of bad feeling between Bill O'Reilly and Michelle Malkin.

I know she substitutes for him or used to. What's happened?

I believe it has something to do with Oreilly not doing enough about Geraldo saying he'd spit on her if he saw her again.
May 15, 2008, 4:47:49 PM EDT – Like – Reply

That remains one of the strangest cable news flaps ever. Geraldo didn't make that statement on O'Reilly's show, or even on Fox News Channel. O'Reilly had no obligation to bring it up with Geraldo, but he did. And he pinned Geraldo down to where he did make an apology for what he said.

And yet, and yet, Michelle was so irate that she decided to boycott O'Reilly's program for there on out. Even though O'Reilly was (as far as I know) the ONLY person to challenge Geraldo and get him to back off what was clearly an inappropriate comment about Michelle.

It just doesn't add up. I suspect there's a story behind the story that we'll never know.

And let's keep it that way. Any time I don't have to see or hear Michelle or her Hot Air/MichelleMalkin.com crew is a good time for me. Sorry, Michelle fans.
I couldn't agree more with that Within The Black Community blogger. That was an excellent post.
I guess all the fringe players came to watch Olby's SEK. Why else would he tie with "The Factor" at 507,000 in the demo last night?

There's a poll at LauraIngraham.com asking what MSNBC should do about Merkle after the SEK. "Fire him" is the lead answer so far, "Send him to Iraq" is second.
And to amend what I said last Friday, "He Said, She Said" is not dead:

Watching BOR right now. Thinking, not Marc Rudov again. The guy has a voice that makes me want to bleach my ears.

Just remember not to take Marc seriously. Everything he says is for shock value. One commenter to a Margaret Hoover blog post last month even said he's a satirist. I'm cautiously inclined to believe that. And look on the bright side: if he was on "Your World" he could bloviate all he wanted and freely talk over Neil Cavuto and Lis Wiehl. "The Factor" doesn't allow for guests talking over each other. Yet, that happened twice this week and frustrated me greatly. Stacie Waddell spoke out of turn last night, and Tanya Acker and Tammy Bruce just had to argue over each other Monday night.
BOR is on vacation from now through Memorial Day, but Laura Ingraham and E.D. Hill will be the respective fill-ins. When I first read that in the BillOReilly.com newsletter, I thought it meant they would be co-fill-ins, but now I'm sure they meant separately. The downside to this is Boyce Watkins and Keith have six weeknights to belittle BOR. I hope that doesn't happen.

Apparently, on tonight's "Countdown," Merkle trotted in his own body language "expert" to do perform a double team on BOR regarding the "meltdown quip." Olby read the transcript of the quip (Blue Blog Source: probably Media Matters) in that ridiculous voice he thinks is a laugh riot, followed by a reference to OlbyHero Jeremy Glick. Also, Keith gleefully reported the demo tie. Hey, Keith, why is your Olbsession so big? By the way, the "expert" was ex-Daily Show actress Stacey Grenrock Woods. Tonya Reiman is an actual expert. Maxine Lucille Fiel, who filled in for Tonya one week last month, is an actual expert. SGW is a radical left comedienne/actress who fits in perfectly with Monkeymann and OlbySpin. I skipped to the end of this segment (one of the last digs was about BOR looking for a woman to dominate as he stormed off the "Inside Edition" set) and SGW's true identity was finally revealed. For her BOR bashing efforts, she was Well Doned and Many Thanksed.
Worse, Boehner; Worser, Salter; Worst, McInerney; didn't watch, tired of Fat Ass.

Maybe you can fill me in.I did a google on Tanya Reiman and found out very little about her credentials.Do you know what qualifies one to be a body language "expert"?
Where does one take courses in this pursuit?
Is there an accrediting body for body language "experts"?
Does Tanya Reiman have this accreditation?
May 16, 2008, 9:17:25 AM EDT – Like – Reply

Grammie
That is a subject I would enjoy knowing a bit more about myself.

Besides "body language" there are facial expressions and vocal clues that we all use to one degree or another daily to understand those who we communicate with. Surely you remember the Kennedy - Nixon debate that the TV audience thought that Kennedy had won big time while the radio audience, depending just on the spoken word, thought Nixon had won overwhelmingly.

I don't think there is any question that communication can involve more than just the written word. The more senses we can bring to bear the greater the difference in opinion can be. As for "experts" in the field it can not be a hard science but I would suspect there has been a lot of research and some people who pursue it as a discipline may have a much more detailed knowlege of it that ordinary folk going about ther lives using all the cues as best they can.
