Well done to Fox for being the only cable news network to cover the President this morning. Actually, not a difficult achievement, as the recent trends of MSNBC and CNN seem to indicate that Fox is the only cable news network. CNN and MSNBC are merely channels for prison documentaries, Larry King interviews with Hollywood Celebs, and discussions about Fox.

Its good to see KO feeling so guilty for his sliming of rape victims, that he forks out some of that cash he's receiving from we taxpayers in the form of the bailout to GE, and joining those at J$P in contributing to such a worthy cause.

And announcing it on television too, like he did with his donation to Clinton. Assuming it's true of course.

Olbermann only gave the money out of guilt or used it as an attmpt to show up O'Reilly. The man is scum.
And he is supposed to be a journalist. When has he ever gone out in the streets to get a story?

Johnny, I just posted this at media Bistro.
Grammie 0 minutes ago
The statistics above are very confusing for the Prime Time demo:
Prime: FNC: 223 | CNN: 239 | MSNBC: 149 | HLN: 99
CNN is shown as No 1 with FNC No 2 by about 10%.
But in the details for that FNC outdraws CNN in every time slot, if I am reading the CNN numbers for the 9 and 10 slot:
Prime: FNC: 223 | CNN: 239 | MSNBC: 149 | HLN: 99
5p: 6p: 7p: 8p: 9p: 10p: 11p:
FNC NewsHQ: FNSunday: Report: Huckabee: Hannity: Geraldo: Huckabee:
206 246 225 244 203 221 225
CNN Zakaria: Newsroom: Newsroom: Presents: Newsroom: Presents: Hughley:
172 220 158 227 262 198
So, what gives?

I don't think Olbermann feels a speck of guilt over the difficulties he caused Alexa, her family, and the foundation.
The money he gave is a gesture to negate that charge against him and as a means to continue his attempt to humiliate O'Reilly.
It's the same gesture he made when he showed up on NBC's SNL to "watch" while the crew was rehearsing their stinging parody of him.
It's the same gesture he made when he handed Clinton a check in order to enlist him in making further criticisms against FNC and Chris Wallace.
It's the same gesture he makes in brooking no political opposition on his show and in using the program as a battering ram against his enemies.
Giving the money was just one more dominance gesture from Keith Olbermann. One more attempt to control the issue and to corner and debase the people he hates.
He's made an entire cable channel into a nine year old's version of making himself club president in his own little tree house.

Classy....Not only do we know Keith Olbermann made a donation to the foundation, but he told us how much.
In a word....classy.
Once again we see Olbermann using a fine organization as a personal bludgeon in his hate-filled crusade against Bill O'Reilly.
I posted over at OW that his tribute to his mother did something for me that has not happened in a while....I saw him as a kind human being.....I should have waited on that conclusion until I reviewed the defining WPiTW Olbermann is usually so proud of.....He is once again a dishonest and hateful human being.
Hate...it does horrible things to people.

I left a voicemail for IHTAF on Wednesday and I asked if Keith really did donate to them. I said for them to call back to let me know if he did, adding I hope he didn't because he's an awful guy. I haven't heard back and I think it's because I said I hope he didn't really donate money to them. Now that I think of it, wishing someone, no matter who they are, doesn't donate to a worthy cause (as long as they're not a terrorist sympathizer) is worse than the crusade against that cause that Keith co-led. So, I am sorry I left that message.

That is absolutely hilarious. Here you have all been spinning like mad, for your own political purposes, that those of us who protested against O'Reilly by simply asking the foundation to please replace him as the speaker were trying to harm the foundation and Alexa herself. None of us called for a boycott, none of us called for a picket on the event, and no-one publicly called for people not to donate, and then one of your mainstays goes and leaves a message like that. ROFL!!!
Chimeri, I presume you phoned back and apologized.

I haven't heard anything about her one way ot the other today. Did she go to Iraq with the President or return home on a separate flight?
Either way I would think her activity today would be news worthy.

What's not hilarious,Peggy, is your using the words of a guy who just showed far more insight than you, as a bludgeon against him and a cover for yourself.
Rather like the way Patrick excuses his stalking and his issuing of the vilest sort of pejoratives against women and gays, based upon his argument that his target justifies his scatter gun hatred and bigotry.
Mike publicly denounces a mere personal and private wish on his part, yet you don't have the insight nor the honesty to acknowledge that there is no way a public crusade like your's could have a positive effect on the IHTAF, other than inspiring giving from people hoping to stave off the damage you could cause!
You can't even acknowledge, let alone accept responsibility for, the obvious cause and effects of your own decisions. You just simplistically and cluelessly argue that you never expressly TOLD anyone NOT to donate to IHTAF!
Mike is a handful, no doubt. Imperfect and often petty, just like the rest of us (including yourself), and you're only too glad to throw that in his or someone's face when you can. All the while folding your hands in utter blinkered toxic self-satisfaction.
He's worth a thousand of you.

Those who give to worthy causes out of the goodness of their hearts do not advertise it.
Those that give and "brag" have ulterior motives behind their gifts.
Keith Olberman's existence is one big ulterior motive.

Brothermark and Halfpint have finally come to know why Patsy is Patsy.
"Once again AAP puts the full weight of his schizo-effective, bipolar with OCD featured brain on the job and, as usual, arrives at an erroneous conclusion. It was inevitable that he prove the very point of the post where I named for the troll he is, not Aunty Em. Listening to the little voices in his head allowed him to attack Aunty Em & UKLD and spread ever so much more trollshit on yet another thread. Inevitable.
I do wish he'd stick to the J$ thread which by all accounts is much more suited to his insane ravings.

I'm with Notvery and Anisha, don't say it if you can't say it face to face without getting punched in the mouth, AAP has a bad habit of doing just that on all threads if he wants to troll the J$ thread he can but he should have to watch the offensive language no matter where he is and so should the rest, we do the F-bomb thread for that kind of language don't we?

Patsy got his name from me b/c he is a one trick pony and I once had a friend who owned a pony who could curtsy/bow named Patsy.
Everything Patsy touches turns to the same old Patsy s**t that he is obsessed with.
Which is why for almost a year I responded to every comment he made with Thanks Patsy. In fact quite a few other commenters started doing it. No surprise that Patsy revved up his profanity more and more. It is the nature of The Patsy Beast!

Grammie,
That's a great story.
I had thought that Patsy's name came about by using the diminutive of Patriot (Average American Patroit) -- patriot-- pat-- patsy AND implying that Patsy is a stooge. Stooge-- a 'patsy'.
I love that he's actually named for a one-trick-pony. What could be more suitable. And goodness knows we've had enough experience with his insanity, via OW, for a life time.
I think the more commonsensical NHers are seeing Patsy for what he is.
To use another animal analogy, Patsy TRULY is an absolutely demented monkey. He will resort to any tactic to deflect, deceive, and distract, especially when you're on to him.
Cavorting, shrieking, and throwing feces, he fouls the environment of his foes and erstwhile friends alike.
Run like hell from him, folks!

Check this out:
Grammie and I started confronting Peggy because she was aiding and abetting a group of puerile lurid cretins posting messages that any mature adult would immediately ascertain to be completely out of control, and NOW she's saying she's saying sorry after Ellen FINALLY said something!
Notice how she's mounted a defense of herself by claiming she takes her cues from OTHER posters on a blog site!
If THAT doesn't say it all, I don't know what would...
Well, Peggy, a few of your friends-- Aunty Em and Captain America--specifically, have a more highly evolved sense of standards than THAT!
BTW-- Thanks for finally becoming concerned about "vile" posts, Ellen, after your readers made an issue of it!

Because i'm bored reading all the personal attacks (that you supposedly don't allow) and was interested in talking about something cable news related--like the insane Beck. I wasn't aware of the discussion on the other thread because it seems like the last 5 or 6 posts on this site happend on this thread. It seems most of your readers are more interested in personal attacks and you seem interested in allowing them to continue instead of taking the discussion back to cable news...I wonder why.
